transport, or if any parts are missing, a written record of
the problems must be submitted to the forwarding agent
and a damage report compiled. Also be sure to notify
your supplier immediately.

und mit der Maschine sorgfältig durchzulesen! Für Schä-
den und Störungen, die sich aus der Nicht beachtung der

Diese Betriebsanleitung beschreibt den sicheren und
sachgerechten Umgang mit der Maschine. Die an-
gegebenen Sicherheitshinweise und Anweisungen
sowie die für den Einsatzbereich geltenden ört-
lichen Unfallverhütungsvorschriften und allgemeinen
Sicherheits bestimmungen müssen eingehalten werden.
Vor Beginn sämtlicher Arbeiten an der Maschine die
Betriebsanleitung, insbesondere das Kapitel „Sicherheit“
und die jeweiligen Sicherheitshinweise, vollständig
lesen. Das Gelesene muss verstanden worden sein. Die
Betriebsanleitung ist Bestandteil der Maschine. Sie ist in
unmittelbarer Nähe der Maschine, jederzeit zugänglich,
aufzubewahren. Die Betriebsanleitung ist stets mit der
Maschine weiterzugeben.

Es können jedoch von dieser Maschine Gefahren aus-
gehen, wenn sie von nicht fachgerecht ausgebildetem
Personal, unsachgemäß oder nicht bestimmungsgemäß
verwendet wird. Das Kapitel „Sicherheit“ gibt einen
Überblick über alle wichtigen Sicherheitsaspekte für
einen optimalen Schutz von Personen sowie für den
sicheren und störungsfreien Betrieb der Maschine.
Zusätzlich beinhalten die weiteren Kapitel dieser
Betriebsanleitung konkrete, mit Symbolen gekennzeich-
nete Sicherheitshinweise zur Abwendung von Gefahren.
Darüber hinaus sind an der Maschine befindliche

2 Safety
At the time of its development and production, the
machine was built in accordance with prevailing

industry safety standards.
However, hazards may arise should the machine be
operated by untrained personnel, used improperly or em-
ployed for purposes other than those it was designed for.
The chapter entitled “Safety” offers an overview of all
the important safety considerations necessary to optimise
safety and ensure the safe and trouble-free operation of
the machine.
To further minimise risks, the other chapters of this
manual contain specific safety instructions, all marked
with symbols. Besides the various instructions, there are
a number of pictograms, signs and labels affixed to the
machine that must also be heeded. These must be kept
visible and must not be removed.
1.7 Disposal
If no agreement has been made with the supplier to
take back the packaging materials, help to protect the
environment by reusing the materials or separating them

Cependant des risques de danger peuvent provenir de
la machine, si celle-ci est utilisée par un personnel non
spécialisé ou de manière non appropriée. Le chapitre
la «sécurité» donne un aperçu de tous les aspects de
sécurité importants pour une protection optimale des
personnes ainsi que pour un fonctionnement sûr et
durable de la machine.
De plus les autres chapitres de ce manuel d‘instruction
contiennent des indications de sécurité concrètes
indiquées par des symboles pour éviter tout risque
d‘accident. En outre, il est important d‘observer sur la
machine, les pictogrammes, les enseignes et les inscrip-
tions. Ils ne doivent pas être enlevés et sont à entretenir
pour une bonne lisibilité.
1.7 Recyclage
Si aucun accord de reprise d‘emballage n‘a été conclu
alors triez et séparez les matériaux selon leur taille et
leur matière et disposez en auprès des différents services
de recyclage.
• Mettez à la ferraille le reste du matériel métallique
• Donnez au recyclage tous les éléments en plastique
• Triez pour éliminer le reste des éléments selon les
propriétés du matériel

2.1 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Die Maschine ist zum Schleifen und Schärfen von Werk-
zeugen geeignet. Die Bearbeitung anderer Werkstoffe
ist nicht zulässig bzw. darf in Sonderfällen nur nach
Rücksprache mit dem Maschinenhersteller erfolgen.
Die Betriebssicherheit ist nur bei bestimmungs gemäßer
Verwendung der Maschine gewährleistet.
Achtung! Jede über die bestimmungsgemäße Ver-
wendung hinausgehende bzw. andersartige Ver-
wendung der Maschine ist untersagt und gilt als
nicht bestimmungsgemäß. Ansprüche jeglicher Art
gegen den Hersteller bzw. seine Bevollmächtigten
wegen Schäden aus nicht bestimmungsgemäßer
Verwendung der Maschine sind ausgeschlossen.
Für alle durch nicht bestimmungsgemäße Ver-
wendung entstandene Schäden haftet allein der
Betreiber.
Zur bestimmungsgemäßen Verwendung zählt auch die
korrekte Einhaltung der Betriebsbedingungen sowie die
Angaben und Anweisungen dieser Betriebsanleitung.
Die Maschine darf nur mit Teilen und Original-Zubehör
des Herstellers betrieben werden.
2.2 Inhalt der Betriebsanleitung
Jede Person, die damit beauftragt ist, Arbeiten an oder
mit der Maschine auszuführen, muss die Betriebsanlei-
tung vor Beginn der Arbeiten an der Maschine gelesen
und verstanden haben. Dies gilt auch, wenn die betref-
fende Person mit einer solchen oder ähnlichen Maschine
bereits gearbeitet hat oder durch den Hersteller geschult
wurde.
Die Kenntnis des Inhalts der Betriebsanleitung ist eine
der Voraussetzungen, Personal vor Gefahren zu schüt-
zen sowie Fehler zu vermeiden und somit die Maschine
sicher und störungsfrei zu betreiben. Dem Betreiber wird
empfohlen, sich vom Personal die Kenntnisnahme des
Inhalts der Betriebsanleitung nachweislich bestätigen zu
lassen.
2.1 Intended use
This machine is designed for grinding and sharpening
of tools only. Machining of other materials is not permit-
ted and may be carried out in specific cases only after
consulting the manufacturer. Operational safety is gua-
ranteed only when the machine is used for the intended
purposes.
Attention! Any use outside of the machine‘s
intended purpose shall be considered improper
and is therefore not permitted. All claims regar-
ding damage resulting from improper use that are
made against the manufacturer and its authorised
representatives shall be rejected. The operator
shall be solely liable for any damage that results
from improper use of the machine.
The term “proper use” also refers to correctly observing
the operating conditions as well as the specifications and
instructions in this manual.
The machine may only be operated with parts and
original accessories from the manufacturer.
2.2 Manual contents
All those appointed to work on or with the machine must
have fully read and understood the manual before
commencing any work. This requirement must be met
even if the appointed person is familiar with the
operation of such a machine or a similar one, or has
been trained by the manufacturer.
Knowledge about the contents of this manual is a prere-
quisite for protecting personnel from hazards and avoi-
ding mistakes so that the machine may be operated in
a safe and trouble free manner. It is recommended that
the operator requests proof from the personnel that the
contents of the manual have been read and understood.

2.1 Utilisation conforme
La machine est conçue pour poncer et pour affûter des
outils. Le travail d’autres matériaux est interdit et ne peut
être effectué que dans des cas spéciaux et après accord
du fabricant de la machine. La sécurité de fonctionne-
ment est garantie seulement sous une utilisation appro-
priée de la machine.
Attention! Chaque application différente ou sortant
de l‘utilisation correcte de la machine est interdite
et considérée comme non conforme. Lors d’une
utilisation non conforme, toute réclamation de
dédommagement auprès du fabricant ou de ses
mandataires, et quelle qu’en soit la forme, est
exclue. Seul l’utilisateur porte la responsabilité
des dommages encourus lors d‘une utilisation non
conforme.
Pour une utilisation conforme il est nécessaire de suivre
les conditions de fonctionnement correctes ainsi que les
indications et les consignes de ce manuel d‘instruction.
La machine ne doit fonctionner qu‘avec des pièces et des
accessoires d‘origine Felder.
2.2 Contenu du manuel d‘instruction
Toute personne chargée d‘accomplir des travaux sur la
machine, doit avoir pris connaissance au préalable du
manuel d’instruction. Ceci est également valable si la
personne concernée a déjà travaillée sur une machine
similaire ou a suivi une formation chez le fabricant.
La connaissance du contenu du manuel d‘instruction
est l‘une des conditions primordiale pour protéger le
personnel des dangers ainsi que d‘éviter des erreurs de
manipulation pour un fonctionnement sûr et sans risque
de la machine. Il est recommandé au propriétaire de la
machine de s‘assurer de la prise de connaissance du

L‘utilizzo appropriato della macchina include anche la
piena osservanza delle condizioni di funzionamento,
nonché delle informazioni ed istruzioni contenute nel
presente manuale d‘uso.
La macchina dovrà funzionare esclusivamente con pezzi
ed accessori originali del produttore.
2.2 Contenuto delle istruzioni per l‘uso
Prima di qualsiasi operazione, le persone autorizzate
a svolgere dei lavori sulla o con la macchina devono
assicurarsi di aver letto e compreso integralmente le
indicazioni contenute nelle istruzioni per l‘uso. Ciò trova
applicazione anche nel caso in cui la persona in
questione abbia già lavorato con questa o con macchi-
ne simili o abbia ricevuto una formazione da parte del
produttore.

2.3 Veränderungen und Umbauten an der
Maschine
Zur Vermeidung von Gefährdungen und zur Sicherung
der optimalen Leistung dürfen an der Maschine weder
Veränderungen noch An- und Umbauten vorgenommen
werden, die durch den Hersteller nicht ausdrücklich
genehmigt worden sind.
Alle an der Maschine befindlichen Piktogramme, Schilder
und Beschriftungen sind in einem gut lesbaren Zustand
zu halten und dürfen nicht entfernt werden. Beschädigte
oder unlesbar gewordene Piktogramme, Schilder und
Beschriftungen sind umgehend zu ersetzen.
2.4 Verantwortung des Betreibers
Diese Betriebsanleitung muss in unmittelbarer Umgebung
der Maschine aufbewahrt werden und den an und mit
der Maschine beschäftigten Personen jederzeit zugäng-
lich sein. Die Maschine darf nur in technisch einwand-

Neben den angegebenen Sicherheitshinweisen und

lichen Unfallverhütungsvorschriften und allgemeinen
Sicherheitsvorschriften sowie die geltenden
Umweltschutzbestimmungen zu beachten und einzuhal-

Der Betreiber und das von ihm autorisierte Personal sind
verantwortlich für den störungsfreien Betrieb der Maschi-
ne sowie für eindeutige Festlegungen über die Zuständig-
keiten bei Installation, Bedienung, Wartung und Reini-
gung der Maschine. Maschine, Werkzeuge und Zubehör
für Kinder unerreichbar aufbewahren.
2.3 Making changes and modifications to
the machine
In order to minimise risks and to ensure optimal perfor-
mance, it is strictly prohibited to alter, retrofit or modify
the machine in any way without the express consent of
the manufacturer.
All the pictograms, signs and labels affixed to the
machine must be kept visible, readable and may not be
removed. Pictograms, signs and labels that have become
damaged or unreadable must be replaced promptly.
2.4 Responsibilities of the operator
This manual must be kept in the immediate vicinity of
the machine and be accessible at all times to all persons
working on or with the machine. The machine may only
be operated if it is in proper working order and in safe
condition. All instructions in this manual must be strictly
followed without reservation.
Besides the safety advices and instructions stated in this
manual, it is necessary to consider and observe local ac-
cident prevention regulations, general safety regulations
as well as current environmental stipulations that apply to
the operational range of the machine.
The operator and designated personnel are responsible
for the trouble-free operation of the machine as well as
for clearly establishing who is in charge of installing,
servicing, maintaining and cleaning the machine.
Machines, tools and accessories must be kept out of the
reach of children.

2.3 Changements et transformations sur la
machine
Dans un soucis de sécurité et afin d’assurer une
productivité optimale, aucune modification n’est autorisée
sur la machine, sauf sous accord écrit du fabricant.
Tous les pictogrammes, les enseignes et les inscriptions
inscrits sur la machine, sont à entretenir pour une bonne
lisibilité et ne doivent pas être enlevés. Tous les picto-
grammes, les enseignes et les inscriptions détériorés
doivent être remplacés immédiatement.
2.4 Responsabilité de l‘utilisateur
Ce manuel d‘instruction doit être conservé à proximité de
la machine et être en permanence accessible à toutes les
personnes qui y travaillent. La machine ne peut être mise
en service que si son état est techniquement sûr et fiable.
Les indications du manuel d‘instruction sont complètes et
doivent être exécutées sans restriction!
En plus des instructions de sécurité prescrites et des
indications de ce manuel d‘instruction, il faudra observer
et respecter les prescriptions de prévention des accidents,
les consignes générales de sécurité ainsi les lois de
protection de l‘environnement en vigueur, de votre lieu de
travail.
L‘utilisateur ainsi que tout le personnel autorisé sont
responsables du bon fonctionnement de la machine et
prennent en compte avec détermination la responsabilité
de l‘installation, du service, des entretiens et du nettoya-
ge de la machine. Disposez la machine, les outils et les
accessoires hors de portée des enfants.
2.3 Modifiche e adattamenti della macchina

illeggibili dovranno essere immediatamente sostituite.
2.4 Responsabilità dell‘operatore
Le presenti istruzioni per l‘uso dovranno essere con-
servate nelle immediate vicinanze della macchina ed
essere accessibili in qualsiasi momento alle persone che
operano con la stessa. La macchina dovrà essere messa
in funzione solamente in presenza di condizioni tecniche
ineccepibili ed affidabili. Le indicazioni riportate nel
manuale d‘uso dovranno essere seguite integralmente ed
incondizionatamente.
Accanto alle disposizioni e alle indicazioni di sicurezza
riportate nel presente manuale d‘uso, dovranno essere
osservate e rispettate anche le norme antinfortunistiche
locali valevoli per il luogo di utilizzo della macchina e le
disposizioni di sicurezza generali, nonché le normative
ambientali vigenti.
L‘operatore e il personale da esso autorizzato saranno
responsabili per il regolare funzionamento della macchi-
na, così come per la determinazione delle competenze
in caso di installazione, manutenzione, assistenza e puli-
zia della stessa. La macchina, gli utensili e gli accessori
dovranno essere tenuti fuori dalla portata dei bambini.

2.5 Anforderungen an das Personal
An und mit der Maschine darf nur autorisiertes und
ausgebildetes Fachpersonal arbeiten. Das Personal muss
eine Unterweisung über auftretende Gefahren und Funk-
tionen der Maschine erhalten haben. Als Fachpersonal
gilt, wer aufgrund seiner fachlichen Ausbildung, Kennt-
nisse und Erfahrungen sowie Kenntnis der einschlägigen
Bestimmungen die ihm übertragenen Arbeiten beurteilen
und mögliche Gefahren erkennen kann. Liegen beim
Personal nicht die notwendigen Kenntnisse vor, ist es
auszubilden. Die Zuständigkeiten für die Arbeiten an
und mit der Maschine (Installation, Bedienung, Wartung,
Instandsetzung) müssen klar festgelegt und eingehalten
werden. An und mit der Maschine dürfen nur Personen
arbeiten, von denen zu erwarten ist, dass sie ihre Arbeit
zuverlässig ausführen. Es ist jede Arbeitsweise zu un-
terlassen, die die Sicherheit von Personen, der Umwelt
oder der Maschine beeinträchtigen. Personen, die unter
Einfluss von Drogen, Alkohol oder die Reaktionsfähigkeit
beeinflussenden Medikamenten stehen, dürfen an und
mit der Maschine grundsätzlich nicht arbeiten. Bei der
Personalauswahl sind die am Einsatzort der Maschine
geltenden alters- und berufsspezifischen Vorschriften zu
beachten. Der Bediener hat mit dafür zu sorgen, dass
nicht autorisierte Personen in ausreichendem Sicherheits-
abstand von der Maschine fern gehalten werden. Das
Personal ist verpflichtet, eintretende Veränderungen an
der Maschine, welche die Sicherheit beeinträchtigen,
sofort dem Betreiber zu melden.
2.6 Arbeitssicherheit
Durch Befolgen der angegebenen Sicherheitshinweise
und Anweisungen in dieser Betriebsanleitung können Per-
sonen- und Sachschäden während der Arbeit mit und an
der Maschine vermieden werden. Die Nichtbe achtung
dieser Hinweise kann zu Gefährdung von Personen und
Beschädigung oder Zerstörung der Maschine führen. Bei
Nichteinhaltung der angegebenen Sicherheitshinweise
und Anweisungen in dieser Betriebsanleitung sowie der
für den Einsatzbereich geltenden Unfallverhütungsvor-
schriften und allgemeinen Sicherheitsbestimmungen sind
jegliche Haftpflicht- und Schadenersatzansprüche gegen
den Hersteller oder seinen Beauftragten ausgeschlossen.
2.5 Personnel requirements
Only authorised and trained personnel may work on and
with the machine. Personnel must be briefed about all
functions and potential dangers of the machine. “Spe-
cialist staff“ is a term that refers to those who – due to
their professional training, know-how, experience, and
knowledge of relevant regulations – are in a position to
assess delegated tasks and recognise potential risks. If
the personnel lack the necessary knowledge for wor-
king on or with the machine, they must first be trained.
Responsibility for working with the machine (installation,
service, maintenance, overhaul) must be clearly defined
and strictly observed. Only those persons who can be
expected to carry out their work reliably may be given
permission to work on or with the machine. Personnel
must refrain from working in ways that could harm
others, the environment or the machine itself. It is absolu-
tely forbidden for anyone who is under the influence of
drugs, alcohol or reaction-impairing medication to work
on or with the machine. When appointing personnel to
work on the machine, it is necessary to observe all local
regulations regarding age and professional status. The
user is also responsible for ensuring that unauthorised
persons remain at a safe distance from the machine.
Personnel are obliged to immediately report any irregu-
larities with the machine that might compromise safety to
the operator.
2.6 Work safety
Following the safety advice and instructions given in this
manual can prevent bodily injury and material
damage while working on and with the machine. Failure
to observe these instructions can lead to bodily injury
and damage to or destruction of the machine. Disregard
of the safety advice and instructions given in this manual
as well as the accident prevention regulations and gene-
ral safety regulations applicable to the operative range
of the machine shall release the manufacturer and their
authorised representatives from any liability and from all
compensation claims.
