BF Hybrid
Volg bij het gebruik nauwkeurig de instructies en richtlijnen, zoals omschreven zijn in deze
handleiding. Wijzig nooit de volgorde van de te verrichten handelingen. Indien één of ander
niet duidelijk is omtrent het gebruik, neem dan contact op met FireWare.
Het apparaat dient enkel gebruikt te worden door volwassen personen die op de hoogte zijn
van hetgeen in deze gebruikershandleiding staat. Het mag alleen door deskundigen in een
professionele oefensituatie worden toegepast.
Het is een oefenapparaat. Gebruik dit apparaat alleen waar het voor bedoeld is.
De locatie van het apparaat moet:
• vrij van explosieve gassen zijn;
• vrij van trillingen zijn;
• onontvlambaar en niet gevoeilig voor hitte zijn;
• op minimaal 5 meter van elk ontvlambaar, explosie- of hittegevoelig object zijn;
• zicht van minimaal 2 meter hebben.
Verwijder nooit een informatief of waarschuwingslabel van het apparaat.
De fabrikant aanvaardt geen enkele aansprakelijkheid voor schade of letsel veroorzaakt
door het niet (strikt) naleven van de veiligheidsvoorschriften en -instructies in deze
hadleiding, danwel door onachtzaamheid tijdens gebruik van het in dit document vermelde
product en de eventueel bijbehorende accessoires.
Gebruik dit apparaat nooit als deze beschadigd is. Indien onderdelen beschadigd zijn dienen
ze vervangen te worden door personeel van FireWare.
Gebruik alleen hulpstukken / accessoires die zijn gespeciceerd door FireWare.
LET OP: dit apparaat NOOIT gebruiken in aanwezigheid van kinderen en dieren.

Gefeliciteerd met de aankoop van uw BF Hybrid!
De BF Hybrid is speciaal ontworpen om op een veilige manier een brand te simuleren. Het apparaat is
gemaakt voor opleidingsdoeleinden en dient dan ook als zodanig te worden gebruikt.
Voor de ingebruikname dient u deze handleiding grondig door te nemen,
zodat u geheel op de hoogte bent van het gebruik, de werking en de
kenmerken van de BF Hybrid.

Draag ALTIJD beschermende kleding: handschoenen en een veiligheidsbril. De randen van
het apparaat kunnen scherp zijn.
Toeschouwers zonder beschermende kleding dienen een afstand van minimaal 5 meter te
houden.
Wanneer service of reparatie noodzakelijk is, mag dit product UITSLUITEND door een
technicus van FireWare geopend worden.
Plaats het apparaat stabiel op een vlak oppervlak en zorg dat het apparaat niet kan
omvallen.
Raak het apparaat NIET aan wanneer het aanstaat, het kan HEET worden.
Zorg dat alle personen zich bevinden aan de kant van het apparaat waar de wind vandaan
komt.
Laat de blustrainer nooit langer dan 3 minuten achtereen branden. Laat het apparaat
daarna eerst enige tijd afkoelen, voordat u hem opnieuw ontsteekt.
Laat de blustrainer altijd minstens 20 minuten afkoelen, voordat u hem verplaatst.
Niet bedoeld om ruimtes mee op te warmen.
Laat het apparaat altijd voldoende afkoelen, voordat u het schoonmaakt of opbergt.
Gebruik NOOIT extra brandstoen, zoals olie of vet.
Houd brandbare materialen of oppervlakken op een afstand van minimaal 5 meter.
Houd altijd een extra blusapparaat bij de hand.
Verwijder voor gebruik papier, bladeren en dood gras etc.
Plaats NOOIT voorwerpen (doeken e.d.) over het apparaat heen als het in gebruik is, het
apparaat is heet en kan schroeiplekken en brand veroorzaken.
Dit apparaat is bestemd voor toepassing BUITENSHUIS.
Verbrand nooit spuitbussen etc. in het vuur.

Gebruik alleen gasvormig propaan of butaan als brandstof voor de blustrainer.
Plaats de gases op een afstand van minimaal 4 meter van de blustrainer.
Zorg ervoor dat gasessen altijd stevig rechtop staan en niet om kunnen vallen.
Als een gases wordt omgewisseld, sluit dan altijd de afsluiter op de gases.
Dek de gasuitstroomopening aan de bovenkant van de blustrainer NOOIT volledig
af. Dit kan onherstelbare schade aanrichten.
Sluit de blustrainer NOOIT direct aan op de gases, maar altijd met de
bedieningshandgreep ertussen.
Let op de datum die op de gasslang is geprint. De datum is de uiterste gebruiksdatum;
de slang moet worden vervangen, voordat de datum is bereikt.
Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat en de slangen op een veilige locatie geplaatst worden, zodat
er geen personen over kunnen uitglijden, struikelen of vallen. Tape de slangen zo nodig
vast aan de vloer.
Controleer de blustrainer, gases en gasslang voor ieder gebruik op beschadigingen.
Gebruik de blustrainer niet als u twijfelt aan de inzetbaarheid.
Houd het apparaat tijdens gebruik altijd rechtop.

De BF Hybrid kan worden gebruikt met propaan of butaan. Het valt aan te raden om propaan te
gebruiken, omdat butaan bij temperaturen rond het vriespunt nog vloeibaar kan zijn en dan mag het
niet gebruikt worden als brandstof voor de BF Hybrid.
Voor het meest realistische vlambeeld gebruikt u gasessen met meer dan 10 kg inhoud. Bij lage
temperaturen is het aan te raden om twee gasessen parallel aan te sluiten voor voldoende
gasopbrengst. Hiervoor is een serie koppeling verkrijgbaar (049-092-008).
Let op: controleer voor gebruik altijd eerst de blustrainer, de gases en de gasslang op
beschadigingen. Gebruik nooit beschadigde onderdelen.
1. Plaats de blustrainer buiten op een vlakke, verharde ondergrond, zonder brandbare
objecten in de omgeving (dood gras, bladeren, bomen, afdakjes).
2. Verbind de BF Hybrid (5) met de gases (1) door middel van de gasslang met het
knijphandvat (3). De snelkoppeling gebruikt u voor aansluiting op de BF Hybrid (6) en de
kant met schroefdraad bevestigt u aan de gaskraan van de gases (2).
3. Vul de BF Hybrid eventueel met water voor een realistischer eect of om een vloeistofbrand
na te bootsen. De BF Hybrid kan ook prima zonder water gebruikt worden.
Let op: er staat een datum geprint op de gasslang. Dit is de uiterste gebruiksdatum; de slang moet
worden vervangen, voordat de datum is bereikt.

4. Controleer of de gases op minimaal 4 meter afstand staat en aan de zijde waar de wind
vandaan komt.
5. Draai de gaskraan van de gases open.
6. Ontsteek de ontsteekbrander.
Let op: houd zoveel mogelijk afstand bij het ontsteken van de blustrainer. Gebruik de ontsteker met
gestrekte arm.
7. Knijp het handvat van de gasslang in (3), zodat er gas in de blustrainer komt.
8. Steek de blustrainer aan door de ontsteekbrander vlak boven de brander van de blustrainer
(7) te houden.
9. Doof de ontsteekbrander.
Let op: als de BF Hybrid niet ontsteekt, draai de gaskraan dan direct dicht en neem contact op met
FireWare.
10. U kunt nu een blusoefening uitvoeren met schuim, water, CO2, poeder of lucht.
5. Uitschakelen
De vlammen dooft u door het knijphandvat los te laten. Draai als u klaar bent met gebruik ook de
gaskraan van de gases dicht en knijp nog een keer in het knijphandvat om de druk uit de slang te
laten.
Laat de blustrainer altijd minstens 20 minuten afkoelen, voordat u hem verplaatst.
Wanneer de BF Hybrid is afgekoeld, kunt u de gasslang loskoppelen en het apparaat opbergen. Indien
u water gebruikt hebt, kunt u dit uit de blustrainer laten lopen door deze op te tillen aan de hand-
greep. Het water kan weglopen door overloop-gaten aan de andere zijde.

In dit hoofdstuk zijn de handelingen beschreven die u zelf kunt uitvoeren. Voor overig onderhoud,
revisies, inspecties, wettelijke keuringen, etcetera kunt u contact opnemen met FireWare.
U kunt de BF Hybrid schoonmaken met (warm) water en huishoudelijke schoonmaakmiddelen, gebruik
geen chloor. Gebruik van schuurmiddelen, schuursponsjes, staalwol en dergelijke kan uw blustrainer
beschadigen.
Elektrische apparaten, accessoires en verpakkingen dienen apart te worden ingezameld, gerecycled of
op een voor het milieu verantwoorde manier te worden afgevoerd.

9. Garantiebepalingen
Op de BF Hybrid zit één jaar garantie na aankoopdatum op product- en fabricagefouten. Schade door
onzorgvuldig handelen wordt niet vergoed. Reparatie vereist deskundigheid. Het is dan ook zeker aan
te bevelen het apparaat bij defecten naar FireWare terug te sturen. De garantie vervalt indien blijkt
dat het apparaat door uzelf of derden geopend is of als u zelf of derden modicaties of aanpassingen
van welke aard dan ook hebben aangebracht zonder uitdrukkelijke toestemming van de leverancier.

Congratulations on the purchase of your BF Hybrid!
The BF Hybrid was specially designed to safely simulate a re. The appliance is made for training
purposes and therefore also needs to be used as such.
Prior to using it you should read this user manual thoroughly,
in order for you to be fully informed about the use, working and
the characteristics of the BF Hybrid.

MANUAL
When using this appliance closely follow the instructions and guidelines, as described in this
manual. Never change the order of the acts to be performed. In case anything concerning
the use is not clear please contact FireWare.
Only adults who are informed about the content of this user manual should use this
appliance. It may only be used by experts in a professional exercise situation.
This is a practice appliance. Use this appliance only what it is designed for.
The location of the appliance needs to be:
• free of explosive gasses;
• free of vibrations;
• non ammable or sensitive to heat;
• be at least 5 metres away from any ammable, explosive or heat-sensitive object;
• have visibility of at least 2 meters.
Never remove warning or informative labels from the unit.
The manufacturer does not accept any responsibility for damage caused by not (strictly)
observing the safety measures and instructions in this manual or for carelessness during
the use of the product listed in this document and possible matching accessories.
Never use this appliance if it is damaged. In case parts are damaged FireWare sta needs
to replace them.
Only use attachments/accessories specied by FireWare.
PLEASE NOTE: NEVER use this appliance in the presence of children and animals.
ALWAYS wear protective clothing: gloves and safety goggles. The edges of the appliance
may be sharp.

Observers without protective clothing should keep a distance of at least 5 metres.
In the event service or repair is required this product can ONLY be opened by a FireWare
technician.
Place the appliance stabile on a at surface and make sure the appliance cannot fall over.
DO NOT touch the appliance during and after use. It may become HOT.
Make sure all people are located on the same side of the equipment as the wind is blowing
from.
Never let the re extinguishing trainer continue burning for longer than 3 minutes. Then
allow the device to rst cool down for some time before you ignite it again.
Always allow the re extinguishing trainer to cool down for at least 20 minutes before you
relocate it.
It is not intended for the heating of areas.
Always allow the device to cool down suciently before you clean it or store it.
NEVER use extra fuels, such as oil of grease.
Keep ammable materials or surfaces at a minimum distance of 5 meters.
Always keep an extra re extinguisher at hand.
Remove paper, leaves and dead grass etc. before use.
NEVER place objects (cloth, etc) over the unit when it is in use as the unit is hot and can
cause burns and re.
This appliance is intended for utilization OUTDOOR.
Never burn spray cans etc. in the re.

Only use gas propane or butane as fuel for the re extinguishing trainer.
Place the gas cylinder at a distance of at least 4 meters from the re extinguishing trainer.
Make sure gas cylinders always stand rmly upright and cannot fall over.
If a gas cylinder is exchanged, always close the valve on the gas cylinder.
NEVER cover the gas outlet opening at the top of the re extinguishing trainer completely.
This may cause irreparable damage.
NEVER connect the re extinguishing trainer directly on the gas cylinder, always position
the operating handle in-between.
Take note of the date printed on the gas hose. This date is the maximum use by date; the
hose must be replaced before this date is reached.
Make sure that the appliance and the hoses can be placed in a safe location so that no one
can slip, trip or fall over it. Tape the hoses to the oor if necessary.
Check the re extinguishing trainer, gas cylinder and gas hose for damage before every
use. Do not use the re extinguishing trainer if you have any doubts about its usability.
Always keep the device upright during use.

The BF Hybrid can be used with either propane or butane. We recommend using propane, as butane
may still be liquid with temperatures around the freezing point, which is when it may not be used as
fuel for the BF Hybrid.
Gas cylinders with contents of more than 10 kg should be used for the most realistic ame eect.
With low temperatures we would recommend connecting two parallel gas cylinders in order to
guarantee sucient gas. A series coupling is available for this purpose (049-092-008).
Please note: always check the practice extinguisher, the gas cylinder and the gas hose for any signs
of damage before use. Never use damaged parts.
1. Position the practice extinguisher outside on a at, hard surface, without any ammable
objects nearby (dead grass, leaves, trees, shelters).
2. Connect the BF Hybrid (5) to the gas cylinder (1) using the gas hose with the squeeze
handle (3). The shortcut should be used for connection to the BF Hybrid (6) and the
threaded side should be secured to the gas cylinder’s gas valve (2).
3. You have the option of lling the BF Hybrid with water for a more realistic eect, or to
mimic a liquid re. The BF Hybrid can also very eectively be used without water.
Please note: a date is printed on the gas hose. This date is the maximum use by date; the hose
must be replaced before this date is reached.

You can put out the ames by letting go of the squeeze handle. Also make sure you close the gas
bottle’s gas valve once you are nished and squeeze the handle one more time to release any
pressure from the hose.
Always allow the re extinguisher trainer to cool down for at least 20 minutes before you relocate it.
The gas hose can be disconnected and the equipment stored away once the BF Hybrid has cooled o
suciently. If you have used water, you can let this run out of the practice extinguisher by lifting this
up by the handle. The water can run o through the overow holes on the other side.

4. Check to make sure the gas cylinder is at least 4 meters away and on the side where the
wind comes from.
5. Open up the gas bottle’s gas valve.
6. Light the ignition burner.
Please note: keep as much distance as possible when igniting the practice extinguisher. Use the
igniter with an outstretched arm.
7. Squeeze the gas hose handle (3), allowing gas to enter the practice extinguisher.
8. Ignite the practice extinguisher by holding the ignition burner just above the practice
extinguisher burner (7).
9. Extinguish the ignition burner.
Let op: als de BF Hybrid niet ontsteekt, draai de gaskraan dan direct dicht en neem contact op met
FireWare.

6. Malfunctions

7. After Care
This chapter describes what maintenance can be done by the user himself. For further maintenance,
revisions, inspections, legal inspections, etc., please contact FireWare.
You can clean the BF Hybrid with (warm) water and household cleaning products, but do not use
chlorine. Using abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, steel wool and similar products can damage your
practice extinguisher.
Electric appliances, accessories and packaging need to be collected and recycled separately or
disposed o in an environmentally responsible manner.

10. Declaration of Conformity
The BF Hybrid has a one-year warranty against product and manufacturing faults. Damage as a result
of careless acting is not refunded. Repairs require expertise. It is therefore highly recommended to
return the appliance to us in the event of a defect. The warranty is cancelled if it becomes apparent
that you or a third party opened the appliance or if you or a third party have applied modications or
adjustments of any kind without the explicit permission from the supplier.

Der BF Hybrid wurde speziell dazu entworfen, um auf sichere Weise einen Brand zu simulieren. Das
Gerät wurde für Trainings hergestellt und soll auch nur dafür verwendet werden.

Befolgen Sie beim Gebrauch genau die Anweisungen und Richtlinien, wie in dieser Anleitung
beschrieben. Ändern Sie nie die Reihenfolge der auszuführenden Handlungen. Sollte Ihnen
hinsichtlich des Gebrauchs irgend etwas unklar sein, dann kontaktieren Sie bitte FireWare.
Nur Erwachsene dürfen das Gerät benutzen. Diese Personen müssen den Inhalt dieser
Gebrauchsanweisung kennen. Nur Experten dürfen es in einer professionellen
Übungssituation anwenden.
Es ist ein Übungsgerät. Verwenden Sie dieses Gerät nur gemäß seinem Verwendung
szweck.
Der Standort des Geräts muss:
• frei von explosiven Gasen sein;
• vibrationsfrei sein;
• nicht entzündlich oder hitzeempndlich sein;
• mindestens 5 Meter von entzündlichen, explosionsgefährdeten oder hit
zeempndlichen Objekten entfernt sein;
• have visibility of at least 2 meters.
Entfernen Sie niemals Warn- oder Informationsetiketten vom Gerät.
Der Hersteller ist niemals verantwortlich für Schäden oder Verletzungen, deren Ursache
darin liegt, dass die Sicherheitsvorschriften und -anweisungen in dieser Anleitung nicht
(genau) befolgt werden, oder die aufgrund von Unachtsamkeit beim Gebrauch des in
diesem Dokument angegebenen Produkts sowie des eventuellen Zubehörs zu diesem
etstehen.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät nie, wenn es beschädigt ist. Sind Teile beschädigt, dann muss das
Personal von FireWare diese ersetzen.
Verwenden Sie lediglich vom FireWare angegebenes Zubehör.

Tragen Sie IMMER Schutzkleidung: Handschuhe und eine Sicherheitsbrille. Die Kanten des
Feuerlöschtrainer können scharf sein.
Sind Wartung oder Reparatur nötig, dann darf dieses Gerät AUSSCHLIESSLICH von einem
Techniker von FireWare geönet werden.
Platzieren Sie das Gerät stabil auf einer achen Fläche und sorgen Sie dafür, dass es nicht
umfallen kann.
Berühren Sie das Gerät während und nach Gebrauch NIEMALS. Sie kann HEISS
werden.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Personen auf der Seite des Geräts stehen, wo der Wind
herkommt.
Lassen Sie den Löschtrainer nicht länger als 3 Minuten ununterbrochen brennen. Lassen Sie
das Gerät danach einige Zeit zum Abkühlen, bevor Sie es erneut zünden.
Lassen Sie den Löschtrainer immer mindestens 20 Minuten Zeit zum Abkühlen, bevor Sie
diesen verschieben.
Nicht zur Beheizung von Räumen bestimmt.
Lassen Sie das Gerät immer ausreichend abkühlen, bevor Sie es reinigen oder lagern.
Verwenden Sie NIEMALS zusätzliche Brennstoe wie Öl oder Fett.
Halten Sie brennbare Stoe oder Oberächen mindestens 5 Meter vom Gerät
entfernt.
Halten Sie immer einen zusätzlichen Feuerlöscher bereit.
Entfernen Sie vor dem Betrieb Papier, Blätter, abgestorbenes Gras usw.
Legen Sie NIEMALS Gegenstände (Tücher u. ä. ) über das Gerät, wenn diese in Gebrauch
ist. Das Gerät ist heiß und kann Brandstellen und Brände verursachen.
Dieses Gerät ist zum Gebrauch AUßERHALB des Hauses bestimmt.
Verbrennen Sie niemals Sprühdosen usw. im Feuer.
