FNW 7203 Quick start guide

INTRODUCTION
This instruction manual includes installation and proper use information for FNW gure 7203 and 7204 malleable
iron beam clamps.
PROPER USE
To avoid personal injury to yourself, fellow workers, or damage to property from improper use:
a. Verify beam clamps are used within listed load and temperature limits (see load charts, page 2).
b. Only install beam clamps with loads in line with threaded rod (suppled by others).
c. Do not install beam clamps with loads at angles to threaded rod or by bending threaded rod as stresses can
be transmitted unpredictably to the clamp.
d. Reverse installation of beam clamps is not allowed. *3/8" only size acceptable for reverse installation
(max load 200 lbs).
e. Only use hardware (i.e. - Clamp, Set Screw, and Hex Nut) suppled in this kit. Use of third party hardware
will void any warranty with FNW.
f. Do not overtighten set screw beyond what is outlined in these instructions. Overtightening can reduce load
capacity up to and including failure of the beam clamp.

LOAD & TEMPERATURE CAPACITIES
The FNW gure 7203 and 7204 brochure list their maximum load capabilities when used within the standard
temperature range of 5°F to 212°F. Extended temperature range of -22°F through 5°F and 212°F through 482°F is
permitted at the reduced load capacity of 60% maximum (i.e. extended temperature ranges reduce maximum load
capacity by 40%). The chart below lists standard and reduced capacity load capabilities depending on temperature.
