KNOW YOUR PRODUCT
A specially designed and compatible product to suit the requirement of
your refrigerator. Your FridgeMate water purifier will deliver safe and
crystal clear water to your refrigerator, facilitating you to have purified
cold water or ice from your refrigerator/vending machine.
Your FridgeMate water purifier needs to be installed between the
water source and refrigerator/vending machine. Hence, it is
recommended to keep the purifier as close to the water source as possible
and to the refrigerator/vending machine to ensure better flow of purified
water. The required installation components are provided along with your
product for an easy and trouble-free installation and operation.

THE FOUR STAGES ARE -
Sediment Filter
The water passes through the sediment filter which has a
polypropylene yarn-wound type depth filter cartridge. This filter strains
all the physical impurities like dust, dirt, mud etc. from the input water.
Bacteriostatic Activated Carbon Filter
The clear water from the sediment filter passes through the specially
treated bacteriostatic carbon which adsorbs colour, odour, organic
impurities, chlorine and chlorination byproducts namely, THMS
(trihalomethanes). Its bacteriostatic property helps to prevent microbial
growth on activated carbon.
The Forbes FridgeMate Water Purifier has a 3-stage filter-cum-purifier.
It delivers water as pure and safe as water boiled for 20 minutes plus more.

Ultra Filter based Purification
Your product is equipped with the unique ultra filtration process to give
you pure, safe and crystal clear water. It is a membrane filtration process
in which the water is passed under pressure (input pressure) through a
spiral-wound membrane cartridge having 0.01 micron pore size.
These minute pores effectively trap sub micronic-particulates and also
disease-causing bacteria, virus and protozoan micro-organisms including
cysts, giving you crystal clear safe drinking water.

Diverter Valve Installation
lFix the diverter valve with PRV assembly to the faucet and fasten the
screws to the faucet properly with a Philips screwdriver. (The PRV is

factory adjusted for 1.5 kg / cm .) In case of external threaded type
faucet, the tap adapter of the diverter valve should be removed and
then directly fix the diverter valve into the faucet.
lEnsure free movement of diverter valve knob for normal water supply.
lKeep the product near a drain facility.
lRemove the screws of the front cover of the product.
lSlide out the front cover from the chassis.
Sediment Filter Flushing
lDisconnect the sediment filter cartridge outlet port tubing.
lConnect ¼” blue tube to the outlet and keep the other end of the
¼” tube at the drain facility.
lConnect the installation tube assembly to the ‘Water In’ port of the
product (ensure both sides of the tubing to the connectors are
inserted fully).
lOpen the diverter valve and flush the sediment filter till the
manufacturing debris is fully driven out and outlet water
becomes clear.
lClose the diverter valve, disconnect the blue tubing fixed for
flushing and connect back the interconnecting tube as earlier.

Precarbon Filter Flushing
lDisconnect the outlet port tube of the precarbon filter.
lConnect a separate ¼” blue tube to the outlet port and keep the
other end of the ¼” tube at the drain facility.
lOpen the diverter valve and flush the precarbon filter till the
manufacturing debris is fully driven out and outlet water
becomes clear.
lClose the diverter valve, disconnect the blue tubing fixed for
flushing and connect back the interconnecting tubing as earlier.
UF Membrane Flushing
lConnect a separate ¼” white tube to the outlet port connector of
ultra filter membrane cartridge and keep the other end of the
¼” tube at the drain facility.
lConnect the flush tube (blue tube) to the flush valve outlet port and
open the flush valve which is connected from the flush port of the
ultra filter membrane cartridge.
lOpen the diverter valve and flush the ultra filter membrane for
15 minutes continuously.
lClose the diverter valve and close the flush valve of the product.
Note: Please don’t consume the flush water.

The flushing of ultrafilter is very essential to enhance the life of the
membrane. A flush valve is provided at the bottom side of the product for
the same. You need to turn the knob towards the ‘flush’ mode and allow
the water to pass through for at least 2 to 3 minutes continuously. We
recommend you to do it on every alternate day or before starting the
product after a long gap of usage.
Taste Enhancer Cartridge Flushing
lDisconnect the cartridge from the outlet and flush the water.
lConnect again to the outlet.
lEnsure that the inlet tube (white tube), outlet tube (white tube) and
flush tube (blue tube) are properly connected to the respective ports
of the product.
lEnsure that there are no leakages from the joints.
lClean the product with a damp cloth.
lClose the front cover to the chassis and fasten, as earlier.
lInstall the product as close to the refrigerator as you can. Ensure
the product is firmly held in position.
lConnect the outlet port tube to the refrigerator inlet port with a
suitable connector.
lOpen the diverter valve.
lRoute the flexible water tube as required.
INSTALLATION COMPLETION STEPS

lUse only genuine components.
lClean the sediment filter once in every 2 months or whenever it is
required – based on the input water quality and water consumption.
lReplace the sediment filter and carbon filter, once in 6 months or
after withdrawing 3000 litres from the product.
lFlush the ultra filter membrane by opening the flush valve for 2 to
3 minutes on every alternate day.
lReplace UF membrane, once in 12 months or after withdrawing
6000 litres from the product.
Always ensure that your product is clean and neat.
