What is unique to Forbes UV chamber?
The water flows within quartz glass tube for disinfection thereby eliminating any contact with metal surface. The direct UV radiations from
germicidal lamp and reflected radiations from highly reflected surface of specially designed reflector housing penetrates the water column from
360 degree in quartz glass column.
How long and where should one store the water?
Forbes water should be stored in a cool, clean place, preferably in steel or glass containers. Avoid matkas or filters as they tend to breed
bacteria. Ensure that the storage vessels are rinsed with water from Forbes and the containers are covered with clean lids. For hygienic reasons,
it's preferable to replace the stored water after 2 days
Does drinking water from Forbes make you lose your natural immunity?
Forbes gives you clear, safe drinking water, thus reducing the risk of exposure to water-borne diseases. It does not affect your body's natural
immunity in any way.
Is UV (ultra-violet) light dangerous and is drinking UV treated water harmful?
In Forbes the ultra-violet chamber is completely enclosed and UV light is not allowed to escape. Moreover, UV light has no residual effect in
water and hence it is totally safe.
Do you need to boil or filter water from Forbes?
Forbes is a complete purification system that gives you clear and safe water. Hence no need to boil or filter the water.
Which water purification treatment is most suitable?
This depends largely on the quality of your input water. In general the surface water - water from lakes, river - is highly contaminated with
physical, organic and microbiological impurities. These result in various water-borne diseases. Forbes water purifiers effectively handle all the
above giving you pure and safe water. However, if your water contains high levels of TDS (Total Dissolved Solids more that 500 mg/litre which
can be measured scientifically with a TDS meter), unpotable inorganic contaminants like heavy metals, lead, etc. or the water tastes brackish,
then you need the Forbes RO system.

IMPORTANT SUGGESTIONS
When your Forbes is not in use, please keep the
outlet spout covered with the cap
Please Do This
Switch off the main switch when your Forbes will
not be used for more than 3-4 hours
Store water from your Forbes in clean containers.
For hygienic reasons it is preferable not to store
water for more than 2 days
We recommend routine check-ups of your
Forbes at least once in 6 months
If your Forbes has not been used for a long time,
allow 2-3 glasses of water to flow out before
collecting the water for use.

In case water does not flow when you switch on the Forbes Neo,
the red LED will blink and an alarm will sound.
Please check of any disruption in the water supply or main
electricity supply to the Forbes Neo. If both are not functioning
normally, then get the unit serviced.
In case of low voltage, the yellow LED blinks with a beeping sound.
Switch off the unit till the voltage comes back to normal.

Tips for a long relationship with your Forbes Neo
1. The key word is cleanliness
Keep the area around your Forbes Neo clean and dry. Wipe your
Forbes Neo with a soft cloth once in a while. Keep the spout clean
and closed with the cap provided
2. Keep clean
To ensure that the works well, have it
thoroughly cleaned by the authorized service technician during
every routine service
3. Backflush the
1) Disconnect the PL6 tube from the inlet and outlet
2) Connect the tube to the outlet nozzle
3) Leave the other nozzle open.
4) Turn the tap on to maximum pressure and let the water flow for
about 10 minutes
5) Reconnect the inlet and outlet nozzle as before. Do not
interchange the inlet and outlet as the cartridge may get clogged.

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDETO SAFE DRINKINGWATER
Fit plug into socket. To switch on the unit, press the 'power' switch. The red LED will glow for 5 seconds indicating that the
power is on
After 5 seconds the yellow LED will glow for around 30 seconds indicating that the unit is processing water
When the green LED glows, you'll hear 3 beeps indicating that the unit is ready to deliver clear, safe drinking water
To let the water flow, press the 'flow' switch. While you fill your glass you can opt for a pleasant musical tone by pressing music
switch
If the unit has not been used for a day or two, allow 2-3 glasses of water to flow out before using the water
If the unit is not going to be used for more than 3-4 hours, remember to shut off the main switch and the water supply.

Your Forbes Neo is equipped with a 3-stage purification process, including the unique which
ensures that every drop of water from Forbes Neo is as safe , as pure as water boiled for 20 minutes. Plus more.
Stage 1
The water first passes through which incorporates a specially developed multi-layered yarn cartridge (please refer to
diagram on page 6). This strains out physical impurities present in the water such as dust, dirt and mud, giving you clear water.
Stage 2
Taste Enhancer Cartridge
Then the water passes through specially treated bacteriostatic Activated Carbon block, Taste Enhancer Cartridge, which reduces colour,
odour, organic, chemical impurities and free gases like chlorine, there by improving taste and reducing odour.
Stage 3
Unique Chamber
The next stage is where the water is subjected to the e-boiling treatment where ultra-violet rays e-boil water. This is a proven method for
eliminating water-borne disease-causing bacteria, viruses and protozoans. In fact, Forbes’s germicidal dosage destroys
all known water-borne disease-causing micro-organisms while retaining essential minerals and nutrients in the water.

Being compact, Forbes Neo is easy to install and saves you a lot of kitchen space. All
you need is a standard 220/230 V supply and a 5 amp electrical point of 3-pin type
and properly earthed.
Installing of Forbes Neo involves the following operations:
• Fixing Diverted Valve.
• Flushing and Taste Enhancer Cartridge.
