ELECTRIC ENGRAVER
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
FOR INDOOR USE ONLY. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.

WARNING - When using electric appliances, basic precautions should
always be followed, including the following:
• Read all the instructions before using the engraver.
• Always wear safety glasses when using the engraver.
• To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when the engraver is used near
children.
• Do not contact moving parts.
• Only use replacement parts sold by the manufacturer.
• To disconnect, turn the switch to the off position, then remove plug from outlet.
• Do not unplug by pulling cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing or cleaning.
• Do not operate the engraver with a damaged cord or plug, or after the engraver malfunctions
or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return engraver to the nearest authorized service
facility for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
• To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not put the engraver in water or other liquid. Do not
place or store the engraver where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.

INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS
• To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this
engraver has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). This plug will fit in a
polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician to install the proper
outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
• The engraver is intended for houshold use
only.
• Locate the power switch on the back of the
engraver. See Figure 1.
• Adjust the depth of cut by turning the
stroke adjuster. See Figure 2. Turn the
adjuster clockwise to decrease the stroke or
counter-clockwise to increase the stroke.
The greater the stroke, the wider the line
will be that is etched into the material.
• Hold the engraver as you would an ordinary
pencil. See Figure 3.
• Do not press down on the engraver while it
is in operation. Move your hand slowly,
allowing the tool to produce a smooth,
even line.
• Markings made with the engraver are
permanent. They can not be smeared,
erased, mislaid, torn loose, blacked out or
rubbed out. You can easily develop a “feel”
for the engraver by writing your name a few
times on scrap material.
• When marking on glass, ceramics or wood,
hold the engraver vertical so the point is
perpendicular to the material to avoid
chipping or splinters.
• The item being engraved should be
cushioned, but not with your hand. Place a
towel or rag under your work piece.
