Chapter1 Brief Introduction
F8L10T LoRa data transmission terminal is a wireless data transmission terminal
based on LoRa spread spectrum technology,support connecting to all kinds of sensors
with different interfaces
This product adopts industrial grade Lora scheme with high performance, based on
embedded real-time operating system as the software platform, while providing RS232
and RS485 (or RS422) interface, can be directly connected to the serial device, realize
the transparent data transmission function;provide 2 I/O,2 ADC functions supply power to
sensors,low power consumption design,support power supply by Rechargeable lithium
battery,solor power and DC12V etc.
The product has been widely used in the M2M industry of the IoT industry chain, such
as smart buildings, smart cities, smart fire, smart power, smart agricultural irrigation, soil
moisture, landscaping, smart forestry, aquaculture, indoor and outdoor environmental
monitoring in sensor field.

Chapter 2 Configuration Introduction
2.1 Physical connection
Before configing the lora terminal,you need to use the RS232/RS485 serial cableto connect
terminal with your pc,kindly check the cable connection below:

2.2 Introduction of parameters configuration
Two ways to config the parameters of F8L10ST:
1、Four-Faith Configuration software tool ”LoRaConfig”: All the settings are configured
through the shipped software tool. It’s necessary to have one PC to run this tool.
2、Extended AT command: All the settings are configured through AT command, so any
device with serial port can configure it. Before configuration with AT command, you should make
device enter configure state

In the following,it will mainly introduce how to use extended AT commands to config all the
parameters of F8L10ST,at the same time,how to use the config tool also is included
Using config tool to config the parameters of F8L10ST,as shown in picture 2-2

The default baud rate is 115200. If the actual serial port parameters of your deivce is differnt,
please close the serial port and select “Options”in the upper left corner of the configuration tool
to configure the serial port. After the configuration, open the serial port; in the serial parameter
setting column. If the right button is displayed as “Close Serial Port”, the serial port is already
open, otherwise open the serial port.
The main interface includes network, system, serial port, IO ports, sensors, and other attribute
configurations,the log, F8L10ST configuration area, and logs show the the current configuration
of the device
The operation parts are mainly "Load Parameters", "Write Parameters", "Restart Device",
"Restore Factory Settings", "Upgrade", "Import Parameters" and "Export Parameters".
After the serial port is open,select “load the parameters”. The current configuration
parameters will automatically load into the device. The parameters are displayed on the left side
area. You can start to configure all the parameters in the F8L10ST, as shown in Figure 2-2.

2.3 Detailed Parameters
2.3.1 Network
There are network communication function parameters, such as key, network type and RF
parameters of LoRaWAN terminal. After filling in the relevant content, click “write parameter”
and “restart device”, some commands need to take effect by restarting the device. For details,
please refer to 《F8L10 LoRaWAN AT command”. Manual V1.1.9》or above version, the content
is as follows:
Device Type:end-device,relay,blind-spot device,default setting is end-device,refer to 2.3 and
learn how to use relay and blind-spot function
Device Class: support Class A and Class C for now
Response Type:it decides whether the server will respond after terminal send data
Device EUI、AppKey、AppEUI:ask Four-Faith enginners for these parameters for device
network join
Adaptive Rate :LoRaWAN's ADR speed control mechanism is applicable to non-mobile
terminals (modules); the server adjusts the terminal (module) rate according to the
signal-to-noise ratio of the uplink data of the terminal, so as to achieve the best status of
radio parameters such as terminal (module) rate and transmission power. however, be noted
that because the server will adjust the rate and transmit power when using this mechanism, so
it may lose the data packet.
Uplink Data Rate :The parameter is the speed level. Users can refer to the official
LoRaWAN Regional Parameter Manual V1.0.3 to obtain the spreading factor (SF) and
bandwidth (BW) of the corresponding rate level.
Uplink Power:The parameter is the transmit power level. The users can refer to the official
《LoRaWAN Regional Parameter Manual V1.0.3》to obtain the transmit power value (unit
dBm) of the corresponding transmit power level.

2.3.2 System
Mainly config the work mode,sleep mode,heart period parameters of lorawan terminal,press
“write params”and “reboot device”,for more information,pls refer to <<F8L10 LoraWAN AT
command user manual V1.1.9>> or above version.if users need to use AT commands for a long
time,config work mode as AT,contents are as follows:
Work Mode: there are two work mode,trns mode:after lorawan terminal join network,users
can directly send data from serial port,after that gateway will forward data to server;if join
fail,it will reject to send data;AT mode:users can use AT command to config,join network and
send data,refer to <<F8L10 LoRaWAN AT Command User Manual V1.1.9>>for more
information
Debug level:default is 0,if problem appears when the terminal join the network,then you can
higher the debug level to print log of module to check the problem.
Data display mode:default is not display,if enable display,users can see the sigal strength
and SNR of received data
Heart Beat:default 0,which means no heart beat,heart beat data packet mainly report the
battery capacity and RSSI value
Wakeup HeartBeat Packet: if enable,device will send heart beat after wake up
2.3.3 Serial Port
Frame interval is fixed as 20ms,when users change the parameters,press”write params”and
“reboot device”to take effect.Refer to <<F8L10ST AT Command User manual V1.0.0>>or
above version for further information

Serial port 2 :Configure the RS485 parameters of F8L10ST,can be used to connect
sensors;the baudrate need to be set according to the real sensor
Default value: baudrate use 115200,Attribute is 8N1
2.3.4 DI、D2 Function
IO mode: DI and D2 can be configured as disabled,Input,Output mode(high level or low
level)
Report Method: when it is set as timer,then device will report data by periodic time.0 means
no report;when it it set as IO trigger,,then the device only send data when the IO level
changes
Data format: text and hex
Report interval: D1 and D2 data report time interval
High level report data:fill in the reported data when IO is triggerred as high level
Low level report data:fill in the reported data when IO is triggerred as low level
(note: contents of data is limited to 20 bytes when IO is triggered)
Take picture below as a example,D1 report data every 2 minutes,if DI is triggered as High level,
device report 56789,if D1 is triggered as low level,device report 01234;Set D2 report method as
IO trigger,device will report 000000 in hex when triggered as high level,and report 111111 in hex
when triggered as low level

2.3.5 AI、A2 Function
A1、A2 (port 10,11)can be configed as analog inputs,(A1 collect analog input voltage
0-5V,A2 collect current 0-20mA)
Calculate Formula are as follows:
Voltage:(collected value)*3.3*20.3/(4095*12.1)V
Current:(collected value)*3.3*1000/(4095*150)(mA)
IO mode:disabled or analog input
Report interval:periodically report data,defualt is 0 which means it doesn’t report
Take A1,A2 as example,A1 is disabled,A2 collect and report ADC value every 3 minites
2.3.6 voltage output(3.3V、12V)
V33(port 12):when you check the box,it will output DC 3.3V
V12(port 14):when you check the box,it will output DC 12V
Take the following picture as a example, it means port 12 output 3.3V while port 14 doesn’t have
any voltage output
2.3.7 Sensor function
If you have other sensors using modbus RTU,you can fill in the corresponding modbus
commands in the following box,the length of each command is limited 20 bytes,10 commands are
available to set,data format is using hex
When users have configuraiton in the command box,serial port will send those sensor

commands in order with a period.if all the command boxes are blank,serial port will send the
default command(fixed in the firmware)
Example:
Config the first command as 0x11 0x11 0x11 0x11 0x11 0x11,time interval is 5 minutes,Then
serial port RS485 will send this command to the sensor in every 5 minutes
