Theuseofnon-originalsparepartsnotonlyinvalidatesthewarranty,but

entirelifecycleoftheengine.

Themanufacturershallbeheldresponsibleprovidedthatthechecksand
maintenanceworkindicatedanddescribedinthismanualarecarriedout;
itshallthereforebenecessarytoprovideproofthatsuchmaintenance
workhasbeencarriedout.Non-routinemaintenanceworkmustbycarried
outbyquali󰘰edtechniciansfromworkshopsbelongingtotheFPTnetwork,
usingthetoolsandequipmentthathavebeenspeci󰘰callyprovided.

Thefollowinginformationisintendedtoencouragecautionwhenusing
theengine,soastoavoiddamagetopersonsorpropertyasaresultof
improperorincorrectbehaviour.
•TheenginesmustonlybeusedforthepurposesdeclaredbytheMan-
ufacturer.
•Tampering,modi󰘰cationsandtheuseofnon-originalsparepartscould
adverselyaffecttheproperoperationoftheengineanditssafetyduring
use;changesmustnotbemadetothewiringandtheunitsthatequip
theengineaswellasitsconnectionstoexternalelectricalnetworks.
•Payattentiontotheengine'smovingparts,thoseatahightempera-
tureandthecircuitswithpressurised󰘱uids;itselectricalequipmentis
asourceofelectricalvoltageandcurrents.
•Theexhaustgasemittedbytheengineisharmfultohealth.
•Theenginemustonlybehandledwithsuitableliftingdevicesandusing
thespeci󰘰ceyeboltsprovidedontheengine.
•Theenginemustnotbestartedandusedbeforesatisfyingthesafety
requirementsfortheequipmentinwhichitisinstalledandbeforeen-
suringcomplianceofthelatterwiththestandardsandlocallaws.
•Theoperationsrequiredforguaranteeingthebeststateofuseand
preservationoftheenginemustbecarriedoutbypersonnelwithproven
experienceusinginstrumentsconsideredappropriatebyFPT.
