Beore hoosing and installing the devie, the installer must onsider loal restritions as set out
in the IEC 61851-1 standard. However, it remains the responsibility o the installer to hek that
these regulations are still in eet, and above all to veriy whether additional loal regulations
apply and ould restrit use o these devies in the ountry o destination.
Installation must comly ith I standard
Installation and start-up o the devie should only be arried out by ualied personnel who are
able to identiy hazards and at saely.

272

Beore installing, ensure that environmental onditions (suh as temperature, altitude and
humidity) omply with the produt speiations.
To ensure the devie untions properly, and to enable it to be used properly by the user, the
spae around the devie must be let lear to allow air to irulate and the able to be moved
properly. It must also allow harging by the user and routine or non-routine maintenane
operations to be onduted saely.
It is neessary to take into aount the spae needed to park the eletri vehile to be harged.
eProWallbox must not be installed in plaes:
at risk o explosion (EX environment)
used or esape routes
where artiles may all on it (e.g. suspended ladders or ar tyres) or where it is likely to be
hit and damaged (e.g. lose to a door or in vehile operating spaes)
where there is a risk o pressurized ets o water (e.g. beause o washing systems, power
washers or garden hoses)
eProWallbox is designed to withstand diret sunlight and bad weather onditions, however to
inrease its useul lie and to limit thermal derating, it is suggested to protet the devie rom
diret exposure to sunlight and rain, using a anopy. The ollowing indiations must be ollowed
when hoosing the position to install eProWallbox:
avoid not xed walls
avoid walls made o inammable material or overed in inammable material (e.g. wood,
arpet, et.)
avoid diret exposure to the rain so that deterioration due to bad weather does not
our
ensure suient ventilation or the devie – do not mount it inside a nihe or a loset
avoid aumulation o heat - keep the devie away rom heat soures
avoid exposure to water inltration
avoid exessive leaps in temperature.

275
Using the groove on the bottom, detah the external over o eProWallbox rom the housing,
seured with 6 elasti plugs.
To proeed with the installation, the over an be removed by unsrewing 6 srews.

276
Wall mounting
To x the main body to the wall, lugs mm are reuired.
The plugs supplied are universal, and are suitable or solid or hollow brik walls. For installation
on walls made o dierent materials (e.g. plasterboard), spei plugs are reuired, and must
only be installed one the maximum permissible load has been veried.
Before installation, it is necessary to determine the position and distances from walls.
e recommend maintaining a distance o about cm rom the alls to acilitate
installation and maintenance.
To facilitate installation and wall mounting, use the template supplied to drill the
ing holes he temlate should also be used or levelling ith a sirit level
sing a drill make mm holes here the ing oints are marked he minimum
deth o the hole must be mm hen remove any drilling residue rom the holes
Push the ing lugs into the holes ith a hammer
Secure the main body to the wall by inserting the screws through the holes.

277
The produt is only euipped with a 6 mA DC diret urrent detetion devie. Conseuently, in
aordane with the IEC 61851-1 standard, the devie must be proteted upstream by externally
installing a Miniature Ciruit Breaker (MCB) and a Residual urrent devie (RCD).
eProWallbox is not tted with a PEN ault detetion system.
MCB: Reommended C urve, 5kA rated short-iruit apaity. Rated urrent aording to
power supply and harger setting, but no more than 32 A. In the event o a short iruit, the
value o I2t at the vehile onnetor o the harging station should not exeed 75000 A2s.
The overurrent protetion devies should omply with IEC 60947-2, IEC 60947-6-2, IEC 61009-1
or the relevant parts o IEC 60898 series or IEC 60269 series.
RCD: Aording to loal regulations, at least Type A. Manual reset type only. The RCD should
have a rated residual operating urrent not exeeding 30 mA and should omply with one o
the ollowing standards: IEC 61008-1, IEC 61009-1, IEC 60947-2 and IEC 62423. The RCD should
disonnet all live ondutors.
SPD: To prevent potential damage to the eletri vehile aused by overvoltage, we strongly
reommend proteting the power supply iruit o the onnetion point with an SPD.
IMD: I installed in IT-type systems, an insulation monitoring devie (IMD) ompliant with CEI
EN 61557-8 must be tted.

278
The euipment must be powered by ables o an appropriate size and whih are apable o
withstanding the urrent or whih the produt has been designed. Make sure the ables are o
a suitable size beore wiring, and that the maximum permissible bending radius is not exeeded.
The devies eletrial data, whih should be reerred to in order to size the power supply
system orretly, are displayed on the devies identiation label (see hapter 1.3).
The ollowing guidelines provide inormation on whih power supply ables to use and the
reommended ondutor size:
Minimum ondutor size: 6 mm²
Maximum ondutor side: 10 mm²
Stripping length or power supply ables: 18 mm

279
The lower part o the devie body has 2 side able entries whih are losed with protetive aps
to prevent dust or moisture rom entering during shipment.
