EnergoInfra EIR500, EIR1000 and EIR1500, 230V~,
are intended for permanent installation by an au-
thorized electrician, and in accordance with existing
national regulations. The appliance must be preceded
by an all-pole switch, min. 3mm contact gap.
Appliance and protection class: Class I - IP44.
1. The EIR can be mounted to the ceiling or on the
wall, horizontally, where the lowest installation height
is 2.3m from the oor level. Respect and follow the
minimum distances to the surrounding surfaces,
according to g.1.
NOTE! Do not cover the heater or direct it towards
combustible items. Fig.2a, 2b and 2c are examples of
incorrect mounting.
The xed heater must not be mounted in front of a
socket outlet.
2. The supplied ceiling/wall brackets should be
mounted with a C/C distance, see g.3 and table. The
brackets can be angled in different positions, when
wall mounted.
3. On top of the heater there are two knock-out holes
where the cable grommet(s) should be inserted. Con-
nection according to g.4, to a 4mm² terminal block.
Ensure that the inlet must be tight. Protect the supply
cable, if it comes in contact with hot parts. Note!
Remove the protective lm from the casing before the
heater is switched on.
4. When starting-up the heater for the rst time or
after a long period of disuse, smoke or odor may
result from grease, dust or dirt that has collected on
the element. This is normal and disappears after a
short period of time.
5. Like in all electrical heating appliances, clicks can
occur during expansion and contraction of the materi-
al, due to movement when the temperature changes.
6. The heater may undergo a colour variation
following being energized for the rst time and during
its life span. The extent is relevant to the operating
environment and is normal behaviour.
Aerosols, paint, solvents, dust and lth etc... may
adhere to the heater and can potentially cause discol-
ouration. The performance of the heater is unaffected
by discolouration. As a precaution, always switch off
the heater while painting and drying!
7. When cleaning the heater, make sure that the
heater is switched off. Let the heater cool down.
Use a soft cloth to clean the body of the heater. For
cleaning the reector, use a clean soft brush.
8. If ret is needed, the heating element can be re-
placed in site without having to take down the heater.
Unscrew lid and wires. Pull out the part in question
and replace with a new one.
9. When an EIR has not been used for a period of
time, or stored in a damp environment, moisture can
enter the heating element. This can cause a residual
current device (RCD) to trip. This is not to be consid-
ered as a fault and can be solved. Bypass the RCD
and run the heater for couple of hours. This will “dry
out” the heating element.
10. Information about energy consumption
In combination with an Ecodesign-compliant
thermostat, the product data complies with the EU
regulations on the Ecodesign Directive (2009/125/
EC) for energy-related products (ErP).
11. Safety
• When the installation is protected by an RCD, a
300mA residual current device has to be used.
• Warning - Hot surface! Do not touch the heater
when in use!
• Do not cover the heater! Risk of re!
• This appliance shall not be used by children less
than 8 years or persons with reduced physical,
sensorial or mental disability or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they are supervised or
were instructed how to use the appliance in a
safe way, and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Clean-
ing and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
