Preface
Thank you for selecting the DocuWide 6035/6055 (hereafter referred to as
the "machine").
This guide explains how to operate the machine and the precautions that
must be followed during operation. To get the most out of the machine and
to use it effectively, be sure to read this guide before use.
This guide assumes that an operator has a basic knowledge of the
operating environment of the personal computer in use, networking
environments, and how to operate a personal computer. For information on
the environment of the personal computer in use, basic knowledge of
networking environments, and how to operate a personal computer, refer to
the manuals provided with the personal computer, operating system, and
network system.
Types of Manuals
The following manuals are provided with the machine.
●User Guide
This guide describes all the necessary steps for copy/print/scan,
clearing paper jams, daily care, various settings items and safety
information.
●Quick Guide (This Document)
Introduces the main features of the machine, as well as simple
operating instructions.
●DocuWide 6035/6055 Utilities help
A guide to installing the printer driver, configuring the printer
environment, etc. This help is included in the CD-ROM provided
with the machine.

Exiting the Power Saver Mode
If you do not use the machine for a certain period of time, it enters the Power Saver Mode, and the screen
becomes completely dark. To cancel the Power Saver mode, press the <Power Saver> button.

●Network Scanning
This feature allows you to check the
machine status and job status from the
computer via a web browser. (P.15)
You can import and edit the mailbox-store
documents into the specified folder on your
computer, using Wide Format Scan Service. (P.17)
You can print from the applications. You can also set
various print settings, such as checking the image size
while printing, to effectively use the DocuWide 6035/
6055. (P.10)

You can import and edit the mailbox-stored
documents via TWAIN compatible application
software on your computer. (P.20)
●Direct Scanning (scanning via USB)
You can scan directly to TWAIN-compliant applications on
your computer connected to the machine via USB, by
using a USB TWAIN driver.
You can adjust the image quality and edit the images of
scanned documents on the screen displayed on your
computer. (P.23)
By using CentreWare Internet Services,
you can retrieve documents in mailboxes,
even without an application. (P.21)

Copy
Making a copy the same size as the document
1Select [Copy].
2Confirm selecting [100.0%] for
[Reduce/Enlarge], and [Auto Select]
for [Media Supply].
3Enter the number of copies (1 to 99)
using the numeric keypad.
4Set the document in portrait
orientation.
Align the document face down with the document guide.
The document will be scanned automatically, and copied.
●You can easily copy, simply by loading the document.

Fitting the image to a fixed copy size
1Select [Copy].
2Select [Auto%] for [Reduce/Enlarge]
and select the desired standard size for
[Media Supply].
When the desired standard size is not
listed, select [More].
3Select the desired standard size for
[Standard Size], and select [Close].
4Enter the number of copies (1 to 99)
using the numeric keypad.
5Set the document in portrait orientation.
Align the document face down with the document guide.
The document will be scanned automatically, and copied.
●By selecting the desired copy size, you can easily make copies with scaling.

Copying Multiple Documents [Collation]
1Display the [Collation] screen for
Copy.
(1) Select [Copy].
(2) Select the [More Features] tab on the [Copy] screen.
(3) Select [Collation].
2Select [Collated], and select [Close].
Select the features from each tab as required.
3Enter the number of sets using the
numeric keypad.
4Load the documents.
(1) Set the first page of the documents.
(2) Set the next document continuously.
(3) Select [Last Original] after scanning all the documents.
5Confirm the number of copy sets, and
press the <Start> button.
Copying starts automatically.

Reprinting (Copy from Memory)
You can copy additional sets of documents copied
previously even without reloading the documents.

Selects the suitable image quality for the original type.
Use this feature to scan blueprints, vellum more clearly.

Erases the uneven background color of the document.

Skips the unneeded portion such as a header on the lead

Printing Using the Printer Driver
1Select [Print] from the application's
[File] menu.
2Select [FX DocuWide 6055/6035] from
the [Name] menu.
3Select the print settings, and click
[OK].
Click [Properties] and set the settings such as [Paper
Size] and [Media Type].
4Click [OK].
●The Printer Driver must be installed on the computer using the provided CD-ROM.

Note
To print according to the media size used on
DocuWorks, check [Fit to paper size].
