REMOTE CONTROLLER (WIRED TYPE)
OPERATING TIPS
Cooling/heating priority
(Heat pump model only)
• If another indoor unit in the same system is already operating in the cooling mode or
dry mode, heating mode settings cannot be performed.
• An indoor unit that is set up as a primary indoor unit can operate in the AUTO
mode.
• Primary indoor unit:
The primary indoor unit has priority for cooling and heating congurations.
Airow direction setting
• When using this product together with a wireless remote controller, the airow
direction of the indoor unit may not match the direction shown on this product.
• When the airow direction is set with combination use of wireless remote controller
and this product, airow direction setting shown on this product may di󰀨er from
actual louver position of the indoor unit.
• When the airow direction is set with combination use of wireless remote controller
and this product in the same remote controller group, airow direction setting
shown on this product may di󰀨er from actual louver position of the indoor unit.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
Before requesting service, perform the following checks:
Symptom Problem
Does not oper-
ate at all.
• Has there been a power failure?
• Has a fuse blown out, or a circuit breaker been tripped?
• It is being controlled centralized?
If the problem persists after performing these checks, or if you notice burning smells or
blinking of the indicator lamps, immediately stop operation, turn o󰀨 the electrical breaker
and consult authorized service personnel.

• Do not use ammable gases near this
product. It may cause a re from leaking

persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory, or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of this product
by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with this product.

this product. Doing so will cause heating,

bags so that children cannot play with them.

play with the original plastic bags.

Press the “ ” button or “ ” button to set
the room temperature while in operation. (The temperature
setting should be considered a standard value, and may di󰀨er
somewhat from the actual room temperature.)

20 to 30 °C (68 to 88 °F)
HEAT VRF system: 10 to 30 °C (48 to 88 °F)
Other system: 16 to 30 °C (60 to 88 °F)

The lower limit of the setting temperature is di󰀨erent depending on the place of use.
TEMPERATURE
OPERATION
(1) is displayed if there is an error.
Stop the operation immediately and contact the administrator.
(2) When a button is pushed to change a restricted setting, will blink.
When is displayed, there are functions for which settings cannot be made.
(3) When is displayed, the air conditioner might not su󰀩ciently cool the room in cooling mode,
or su󰀩ciently heat the room in heating mode. If does not turn o󰀨 after a while, contact the
administrator.
(4) The inoperative setting of the indoor unit cannot be set.

is displayed when operation of the air conditioner has stopped due to an emergency.

Press the “ ” or “ ” button to select the fan
speed while in operation. (The available fan speed di󰀨ers depend-
ing on the indoor unit.)
FAN SPEED
Each pressing of the “ ” button changes operation and stop.
During in operation, the indicator lamp (green) is on.
START / STOP
Instructions on heating are not applicable for the cooling only models.
Press the “ ” button to set the airow direction or the
Swing mode.

Operation mode indicator.
NOTES:
• If the priority mode is set to “Priority on Primary indoor unit”,
the operating mode of other indoor units except the primary
indoor unit will be controlled by the primary indoor unit.
• If the operating mode of the primary indoor unit is set to
“AUTO”, “AUTO” is displayed in addition to the display of
current operating mode on other wired remote controllers
except the primary indoor unit. In this case, operation of
other indoor units is controlled by the primary indoor unit.
Ex.: When operating mode of the primary indoor unit is set to
“AUTO” while air conditioning setting.
(The indicators on the other wired remote controllers except
the primary indoor unit)
