Modifyingthisproductorrecycling asecondhandproductbyoverhaulingitwithoutpriorapproval
mayresult inpersonalinjuryto users and/orbystanders or damage to theproductand/orother
property.
Note on erasing datafrom harddisks when disposing of the productor transferring it
Disposingofthisproductor transferringitas ismayenable thirdparties toaccessthedataon the harddisk anduseitfor
unforeseen purposes.Topreventtheleakageof confidential information andimportantdata,allofthedataonthehard
diskmustbe erasedbeforedisposal or transferof the product.
However,itcan bedifficulttocompletelyeraseallofthedatafrom theharddisk.Simplyinitializing(reformatting) thehard
diskordeletingfiles ontheoperating systemis insufficienttoerasethedata, eventhough the data appearsata glanceto
havebeenerased.Thistype ofoperationonlymakesitimpossibleto accessthe datafrom the operatingsystem.
Maliciousthird partiescanrestorethis data.
Ifyousave yourconfidentialinformationor other importantdataonthehard disk, youshouldcompletelyerase thedata,
instead ofsimplycarryingouttheaforementionedoperation, to preventthedata frombeing restored.To preventimportant
dataontheharddiskfrombeingleakedwhentheproductis disposedofortransferred,youwillneedtotakecaretoerase
allthedatarecordedonthe hard disk on your own responsibility.
Furthermore,ifa softwarelicenseagreement restricts thetransferof thesoftware(operatingsystemandapplication
software)ontheharddisk intheserveror other product toathirdparty, transferring the productwithoutdeletingthe
softwarefromthehard diskmayviolatetheagreement. Adequate verificationfromthis pointof viewisalsonecessary.
