Over-wintering:
Note:
Do not use any hard objects or power ul detergents or cleaning
the set!
Remove dirt deposits in the pump :
1. Unplug the water ountain pump rom the mains.
2. Remove the ilter set rom the pond.
3. Pull hose 3o the pump and unscrew threaded sleeve 7.
4. Open up pump ilter housing 8and remove the pump.
5. Open the snap hook band take the pump cover 9o the
motor housing A.
6. Draw the impeller unit 0out o the motor housing A.
7. Remove any dirt deposits rom pump components.
8. Replace the impeller unit 0in the motor housing A.
9. Press the pump cover 9into the motor housing Auntil the
connection is heard to snap into place.
6. Trouble-Shooting
Fault Possible Cause Remedy
The water is not clear. The pond is extremely dirty 1. Check nitrate concentration
and rich in nutrients. (e. g. with the GARDENA
Pond Test Set, Art. No.
7920)
2. I necessary, change the
water and clean the pond
liner.
Too many ish and creatures vAdd up the estimated length
in the pond. o the ish.
There should only be “80 cm
ish” per m3water in the pond.
Pump does not work. Connections are aulty. vCheck connections.
Impeller unit blocked. vRemove dirt deposits in the
pump (see 5. Maintenance).
I any other aults arise, please contact GARDENA Service.
7. Putting out o Operation
1. Be ore rosts commence, remove the Filter Set rom the pond,
take the hose o the pump and empty the ilter completely.
2. Clean the Filter Set.
3. Store the ilter in a rost-proo place.
4. Store the pump in a container ull o water, in a rost- ree place.
The mains plug should not be soaked during the process.
Store out o reach o children.

Do not allow the pump to run without water:
Do not allow the pump to run without water because dry-running
leads to an undesirable build up o heat and will destroy the
pump.
The water throughput quantity or the ilter and there ore the
height o the ountain can be set to any desired level.
The more water lowing through the ilter, the less lows through
the ountain and vice versa.
vHold the T-piece irmly and turn the extension pipe 1
by hand.
•Turn the marking aon the extension pipe 1clockwise
to increase the water throughput or the ountain
– or –
turn the marking aon the extension pipe 1anti-clockwise
to increase the water throughput or the ilter.
5. Maintenance
We recommend cleaning the Zeolith inside (approx. 2.5 l) about
every 6 months (e.g. in salt water) or replacing it to ensure that
the zeolith is working properly. Only use
GARDENA Zeolith 1 l : Art. No. 7914
Zeolith 5 l : Art. No. 7915
Zeolith 10 l: Art. No. 7913
when replacing the ilter.
1. Unplug the ountain pump rom the mains.
2. Remove the ilter set rom the pond.
3. Remove the hose 3rom the pump.
4. Take the ilter cover 6o .
5. Empty the ilter container 4completely and rinse out.
6. Remove the Zeolith net 5and soak or approximately
24 hours in a solution o cooking salt (20 g salt / litre).
7. Then rinse the Zeolith net 5with resh lukewarm water.
8. Assemble the ilter again in reverse order.
9. Start the ilter up again (see 4. Putting into Operation :
“Using the ilter or the irst time”
).
Cleaning the pump ilter housing:
The water intake slots on the water eature pump must be ree
rom dirt.
1. Unplug the ountain pump rom the mains.
2. Remove the ilter set rom the pond.
3. Pull hose 3o the pump and unscrew threaded sleeve 7.
4. Open up the pump ilter housing 8and spray clean with
a jet o water.
5. Clean the water intake slots o the ilter housing 8with
a brush.
