The GC-2013 GASis a mobile ultrasonic measuring device which
can determine the filling level of gas cylinders. The device detects
whether there is any liquid gas in the cylinder and indicates this optically
with an LED.
The GASis suitable for standard propane cylinders made of steel or
aluminum, 20lb.-200lb.
Using the GAS
To get an accurate result, you should take several measurements
vertically up the outer wall, starting at the bottom (fig. ).
The measuring head must be clean for the device to work properly.
If necessary, clean the measuring head first with a damp cloth, silicon
spray or penetrating oil. Never immerse in water.
The following can produce a false reading:
• Rusts, dents, uneveness or scratches on the surface of the gas
cylinder
• Very thick paint layers, a lot of dirt, or stickers on the gas cylinder
• The GASis placed too near the bottom of the gas cylinder
Directions
Lay your free hand on the gas cylinder to prevent incorrect
measurements due to environmental influences (fluorescent tubes, fans,
etc.). Please see back of instruction manual for additional information.
 Press the measuring head at a 90° angle against the gas cylinder.
 The LED on the measuring head of the GASlights up.
flashing green/red: measurement being performed
green: there is liquid gas at this level
red: there is no liquid gas at this level
flashing red: measuring signal disturpted by other
frequencies: repeat the measurement
Replacing the batteries
 Please only use batteries of the type SR626SW or equivalent.
 Push down the locking lug (fig. ).
 Remove the interior from the sleeve. Make sure that you do not lose
the spring (fig. 1 ).
 Replace both batteries (fig. ). Make sure the polarity is correct.
 Push the interior into the sleeve until the lug engages.
 Test the gas checker by lightly pressing on the measuring head
with your hand.
The LED flahes green/red.
Disposal
Do not dispose of any batteries with general household waste.
Return defective or used batteries to your retailer or dispose
of them at collection points.

El GASes un dispositivo portátil de medición por ultrasonido para
determinar el nivel de llenado de cilindros de gas. El dispositívo detecta
si en el punto de medició hay gas licuado en el cilindro y lo indica
ópticamente por medio de un LED.
El GASresulta adecuado para cilindros aceros o aluminios
convencionales de gas propano o de gas butano entre 20 a 200 libras.
Uso del GAS
Para otner unos resultados de medición precisos se deben realizar varias
mediciones en vertical respecto a la pared exterios de la bombona de abajo
a arriba (fig. ).
Para que el aparato funcione correctamente es importe que
el cabezal de medición esté limpio. Si es necesario, limpie
el cabezal con un paño húmedo, silicona en spray o aceite
penetrante antes de realizar la medición. No lo sumerja jamás en
agua.
Las siguientes causas impiden un resultado de medición exacto :
• Óxido, abolladuras, desniveles o arañazos en la superficie de la
cilindro de gas
• Capas de pintura muy gruesas, suciedad excesiva o adhesivos en
la cilindro de gas
• El GASse coloca demasiado cerca del extremo inferior de la
cilindro de gas

Coloque la mano desocupada sobre el cilindro de gas para así
evitar mediciones erróneas debido a influencias ambientales (tubos
fluorescentes, ventiladores, etc.).
 Presione ligeramente el aparato con el cabezal de medición
en un ángulo de 90° contra el cilindro de gas.

verde/rojo int.: se está realizando la medición
verde: hay gas licuado a esta altura de medición
rojo: no hay gas licuado a esta altura de medición
rojo intermitente: otras frequencias interfieren en la señal de
medición: repita la medición
Cambiar las pilas
 Utilice únicamente pilas del tipo SR626SW osimilares.
 Empuje hacia abajo la lengüenta de bloqueo (fig. ).
 Extraiga de la vaina la parte interna. Al hecerlo tenga cuidado
de que no se pierda el resorte de presión (fig. 1 ).
 Cambie las dos pilas (fig. ). Preste atención a la polaridad
correcta.
 Introduzca la parte interna en la vaina hasta que encastre la
lengüenta de bloqueo.
 Compruebe el funcionamiento del GASpresionando ligramente
con la mano el cabezal de medición.
El LED parpadea en verde/rojo.
Gestión de residuos
Las baterías y pilas no son basura doméstica.
Entregue las baterías defectuosas o las pilas vacías
en un establecimiento o deposítelas en un contenedor
especializado.
