Thefilter reset indicator light will come
on when the filter needs to be replaced.
Toreset the filter indicator after replacing
the filter, if no filter lights are on:
For the Pre-Filter, press the FILTERRESET
button once and the Pre light will flash; then
press and hold for 2 seconds. The indicator
light for the filter will go off.
For the 99.97% True HEPAFilter, press
the FILTERRESETbutton twice and the
HEPAlight will flash; then press and hold
for 2 seconds.The indicator light for the filter
will go off.
Toreset the filter indicator after replacing
the filter, if one or both lights are on:
press and hold the FILTERRESETbutton
for 2 seconds. One or both indicator lights
will go off.

Using the air purifier.
Packaging must be removed from the HEPAFilter before using your air purifier for the first time.
[] Pullthe top of the front cover toward you and lift
up slightly to remove.
[_ Pullforward on the black Pre-Filter,using the pull
tabs inthe middle,and remove it from the unit.
[_ Gently pull forward on the 99.97%True HEPA
Filterto remove it from the unit. Removethe
plasticshipping cover from the filter and discard.
[_ Replacethe 99.97%TrueHEPAFilterin the unit.

the requirements on the rating plate.
[_] Pushthe POWERbutton and set for the desired
airflow.

Care and cleaning of the air purifier.
Turn off the air purifier and remove the plug from the wall outlet before cleaning.
Front Cover and Body
To clean:
Usea soft cloth to clean the front cover and body.
Forstubborn dirt, usewater with a very mild
detergent. DONOTusebleach or abrasives.
Pre-Filter and Charcoal Filter
Cleanthe Pre-Filterevery 5 months. Cleaning may
be needed more often, depending upon usage
and the environment.

on the Pre-Filter.
The Charcoal Filter,if installed,needsto be changed
every 5 months. TheCharcoal FilterCANNOTbe
cleaned. It must be replaced.
Charcoal Filterscan be purchased in/4-packs
at the retailstore where you purchased your air
purifier or by calling GEPartsand Accessories
at 1.800.626.2002.Filter pack part numbers are
RAPCF1for model AFHC09AMand RAPCF2for
model AFHC21AM.
After drying the Pre-Filter thoroughly, replace the
Charcoal Filter, if used. Replace the Pre-Filter and front
cover.
The Pre-Filter and front cover are not
8dishwasher-safe.

HEPA Filter
The 99.97%True HEPAFilterneedsto be replaced
every 12 months. Thefilter may need to be replaced
more often, depending upon usage and the
environment.

Entretien et nettoyuge du purificuteur d'air.
Avant de le nettoyer, _teignez le purificateur d'air et d_branchez la fiche de la orise de courant murale.

Pour le nettoyage :
Nettogez lepanneau avant et le boTtier6 I'aide d'un
chiffon doux. Pourla salet_ tenace, utilisezde I'eau et
un d_tergent tr_s doux. N'utilisezPASdejavellisants
ou de produits nettouants abrasifs.

Pour le nettoyage :
Siun filtre 6 charbon est installS,enlevez-le.Enlevez
la poussi_reaccumul_e sur le pr_filtre 6 I'aided'eau
et d'un chiffon propre.
SiI'appareil est dot_ d'un filtre 6 charbon, il faut le
remplacer tousles trois mois. IInefaut PASnettoger
le filtre 6 charbon. IIfaut le remplacer.
Vouspouvez vous procurer lesfiltres 6 charbon en
paquets de 4 chez led_taillant o0 vous avez achet_
votre purificateur d'air,ou enappelant au servicedes
pi_ces et desaccessoiresde GEau 1-800-626-2002.
Le num_ro de ces filtres est le RAPCF1pour le mod_le
AFHC09AM,et le RAPCF2pour le mod_le AFHC21AM.
Apr_savoir s_ch_ le pr_filtre compl_tement, remettez
en place le filtre 6 charbon s'il g a lieu.Ensuite,
remettez en place le pr_filtre et le panneau avant.
Lepr_filtre et le panneau avant ne vont pus ou
lave-vuisselle.
