Exhaust Options: 3-way via rear, left, and bottom.
Circuit Requirements: An individual, properly grounded
branch circuit, protected by a 15-20 amp circuit breaker
or a time-delay fuse, is required.
Note: Dryer wall outlet must be located within 36”
of service cord entry and accessible when dryer is
mounted in position.

Stacked Installation:
Kit for stacking dryer over washer is not included with the dryer.
Order GEFLSTACK.
Alcove or Closet Installation:
•Ifyourdryerisapprovedforinstallationinanalcoveorcloset,itwillbe
stated on a label on the dryer back.
•ThedryerMUSTbeexhaustedtotheoutside.
•Minimumclearancesbetweendryercabinetandadjacentwallsorother
surfaces are: 0" either side, 3" front and rear
•Minimumverticalspacefromfloortooverheadcabinets,ceilings,etc.is52".
•Closetdoorsmustbelouveredorotherwiseventilatedandmustcontaina
minimumof60sq.in.ofopenareaequallydistributed.Ifthisclosetcontains
both a washer and a dryer, doors must contain a minimum of 120 sq. in. of
open area equally distributed.
•Nootherfuel-burningapplianceshallbeinstalledinthesameclosetwith
a gas dryer.
Bathroom or Bedroom Installation:
•ThedryerMUSTbeexhaustedtotheoutdoors.
•Theinstallationmustconformwiththelocalcodes,orintheabsenceof
localcodes,withtheNationalElectricCodeandNationalFuelGasCode,
ANSIZ223forgasdryers.
Minimum Clearance other than Alcove or Closet Installations:
•Minimumclearancestocombustiblesurfaces0"bothsides,3"rear.

Dryer Exhausting Information – Metal Duct Only

Ducting Materials: For best performance, this dryer should be vented with 4” diameter
allrigidmetalexhaustduct.Ifrigidmetalductcannotbeused,thenUL-listedflexible
metal(semi-rigid)ductingcanbeused(KitWX08X10077).Inspecialinstallations,itmay
benecessarytoconnectthedryertothehouseventusingaflexiblemetal(foil-type)duct.
AUL-listedflexiblemetal(foil-type)ductmaybeusedONLYininstallationswhererigid
metalorflexiblemetal(semi-rigid)ductingcannotbeusedANDwherea4”diametercan
be maintained throughout the entire length of the transition duct. Please see installation
instructionpackedwithyourdryerforcompleteinstructionswhenusingflexiblemetal(foil
type) ducting.
Exhaust Length Calculation:
1. Determinethenumberof90°turnsneededforyourinstallation.Ifyouexhausttothe
side or bottom of dryer, add one turn.
2. Themaximumlengthof4’rigid(aluminumorgalvanized)ductwhichcanbetoleratedis
shown in the table.
A turn of 45° or less may be ignored. Two 45° turns within the duct length should be
treated as a 90° elbow.
A turn over 45° should be treated as a 90° elbow.
Dryers mustbeexhaustedtotheoutside.
Caution: Forpersonalsafetydonotterminateexhaustintoachimney,underanyenclosed
house floor (crawl space), or into an attic, since the accumulated lint could create a fire
hazardormoisturecouldcausedamage.Neverterminatetheexhaustintoacommonduct
orplenumwithakitchenexhaust,sincethecombinationoflintandgreasecouldcreatea
fire hazard.
Exhaustductsshouldbeterminatedinadamperedwallcaptopreventbackdrafts,bird
nesting, etc. The wall cap must also be located at least 12" above the ground or any other
obstruction with the opening pointed down.
