WHENUSINGYOURDRYER
• Never reach into tile cha'er while tile drum is
moving. Before loading, unloading or adding
clothes, wait tmtil tile drum has completely
stopped.
•Clean the lint filterbefore each lead to prevent lint
accumulation inside tile dryer or in tile room.

• Do not wash or dry articles that have been
cleaned in, washed in, soaked in or spotted

located at tile bottom of tile door opening. Remove

the screen.
A waxy buildup may fi)m_ on tile lint screen fl'oin
using titTer=added tiff)tic softener sheets. To remove
this buildup, wash the lint screen in wai'nl, soapy
wateI: D_ T thoroughly and tel)lace. Do not operate
the dryer without the lint screen in place.
TheExhaustDuct:Inspect and clean the exhaust
ducting at least once a year to prevent clogging. A
partially clogged exhaust can lengthen the (hTing
time.
Follow these steps:

beneath the mobile home) using metal duct(rig that will
not support combustion. Metal duct(rig must be 4"

electrical shock and/or a fire hazard.
This appliance MUST be i)roperly grotmded.
Electrical shock can result if the dryer is not i)roperly
grotmded. Follow the instructions in this manual tot proper
grotmding.
DO NOT use an extension cord with this (h_'e_: Some
extension cords are not designed to withstand the amotmts
of electrical cmTent this (h_'er utilizes and can melt,
creating electrical shock and/or fire ha/m'd. I,ocate the
dryer within reach (ff the wall outlet, ta!dng into accotmt
the length of power cord to be pro'chased and allowing
sore e slack in the cord. Refer to Electrical Requirements in
this manual fiw the proper power cord to be pro'chased.
A UIAisted strain relict must be installed onto power cord.
If the strain relict is not attached, the cord can be pulled
out of the dryer and can be cut by any movement _ff the
cord, resulting in electrical shock.

GROUNDING REQUIREMENTS

Conversion to LP Gas: DO NOT connect tile (hyer to
I,P gas service without converting tile gas wflve. An I,P
conve_ion kit (Pub. No. 14-A038) MUST be installed
bv a qualified gas technician.
a. Comlect a 1/2" (1.27 cm) I.D. semi-rigid or approved
pipe fl'om gas supply line to tile 3/8" (0.96 cm) pipe
located on the back of the d_Te_: Use a 1/2" to 3/8"
(1.27 cm to 0.96 cm) reducer for a connection.
Apply an approved thread sealer that is resistant
to the corrosive action of liquefied gases on all
pipe connections.
b. Open tile shutoff \:live in tile gas supply line.
c. Test all connections by brushing on a soapy water

REVERSING THE DRYER
DOOR SWING
1,Open the dryer doo_: Remove the 4 hinge hole plugs or
screws ti'om tile left side of door opening. Place nearby
fi)r flKm'e installation. NOTE: Youmay need a plastic knife
to help pull out the plugs. Be careful not to scratch the paint.
Remove tile fimr screws that secure tile door hinges to
tile (hTer fl'ont panel. NOTE: Remove 1screw from each
of the 2 hinges first. Hold the door firmly before removing the
last 2screws.
3. Rotate tile door 180 ° and reinstall tile door hinges to tile
dryer front panel with tile 4 screws.
4. Install tile 4 hinge hole plugs or scrmvs that were
removed in stop 1 into tile open screw holes on tile right
side of tile door opening.
