INTRODUCTION
The LH160 has been designed as a
standalone Induction Loop system for
use inside a vehicle, point of sale desks,
banks, ticket counters or other
customer service locations. It is easy to
install and use.
The unit is designed for use with the
standard Geemarc multi turn loop
antenna (optional accessory) which can
cover an area of about 1m2, or a local
area loop covering an area upto 40m2.
The functions and features include the
following:

The functions and features include the
following:
●Microphone input for use with
standard desktop or lapel
Microphones.
●Dual function input for a second
Microphone or Aux signal (like from a
MP3 player) selectable via a switch.
●Power input from a car battery via a
car cigarette lighter socket or a 12 or
13 V DC power adaptor.
●Loop output with spring clamps for
easy connection.
●Individual level controls for each input
and loop output.
●LED indication of Power, Input
signals and Loop output current for
easy set up.

INSTALLATION & OPERATION
Choose a suitable location, free from
magnetic or electrical interference for
installation and use of LH160
(1) Install the LH160 onto a panel or
wall under the counter, ensuring that
the cables are securely anchored.
(2) Connect the loop antenna (optional
accessory) or other compatible loop
coil to the loop output terminals. For
optimal performance the loop antenna
or coil should be located about 80cm in
ftront of the customer.
Press the tab above the connector
terminal and release after inserting the
wire of the loop antenna or coil. Polarity
is not important.
(3) Connect a compatible Geemarc
Microphone to the Mic1 jack.
(4) If required connect a second
compatible Microphone or Aux input to
the Mic2/Aux jack. Use the switch to
select the type of input.
(5) Using a small common blade flat
screwdriver, turn the Mic1, Mic2/Aux,
Tone and Field Strength controls fully
anti-clockwise (to their minimum levels).
(6) Select the power source (car battery
or mains AC adaptor) and connect the
car adaptor cable or AC power adaptor
to the power input socket.

(7) Switch on the external power and
check that the Power ON LED
illuminates
(8) Apply the input signal (for example
speaking into the Mic) to Mic1 or
Mic2/Aux and turn the corresponding
control clockwise until the
corresponding LED begins to light up.
(9) Repeat the above for the second
input if used. While setting up, apply
only one input at a time.
(10) While the input signal is present,
adjust the Loop Current adjustment
control clockwise to get the desired
loop output level. The Loop Current
Indication LED will become brighter as
the Loop current is increased
(11) Test the performance of the
system using a field strength meter.
Adjust the Tone and Loop Current
controls to achieve the desired
performance. The Tone adjustment
enables compensation for loss of
higher frequency signal during
transmission.

LOOP ANTENNA & PERFORMANCE
For optimum performance, use the loop
antenna (optional accessory) or a local
area loop with the following
specifications:
Loop resistance 0.3 to 1 ohm
Loop Impedance 1.3 ohm at 1.6 KHz
For local area loops, use wire 0.5 to 1.5
mm2 or 22 to 16 AWG
The area covered by the unit is about
80cm ± 60° from the center point of the
loop antenna/coil

Clean the LoopHEARTM with a soft
cloth. Never use polish or cleaning
agents - they could damage the finish
or the electronics inside.

INTRODUCTION
Le LH160 est un amplificateur de
boucle magnétique autonome pour une
utilisation dans les véhicules, dans les
bureaux, banques, hotels, guichets ou
autres points de service à la clientèle. Il
est facile à installer et à utiliser.
Il est conçu pour une utilisation avec
l'antenne standard Geemarc (boucle
multi tours disponible en option) qui
peut couvrir une superficie d'environ
1m², ou une boucle locale couvrant une
superficie jusqu'à 40m².

Boucle.

INSTALLATION ET D'UTILISATION
Choisissez un endroit approprié pour
l'installation et l'utilisation du LH160, libre
de toute interférence magnétique ou
électrique
(1) Installez le LH160 sous le comptoir
(sur un panneau ou un mur), veillez à ce
que les câbles soient solidement ancrés.
(2) Connectez la boucle (disponible en
option) ou une autre boucle compatible
aux bornes de sortie « Boucle ».
Pour des performances optimales de
l'antenne, la boucle ou la bobine devra
être située à environ 80cm en face de la
personne.
Appuyez sur le clip au-dessus du
connecteur et relâcher après insertion du
fil de boucle extérieur ou autre bobine (La
polarité est sans importance).
(3) Branchez un microphone Geemarc
compatible à la prise MIC1.
(4) Si nécessaire raccorder un deuxième
microphone compatible ou un autre
équipement audio à la prise MIC2 / AUX.
Utilisez l'interrupteur pour sélectionner le
type d’entrée.
(5) En utilisant un petit tournevis à
embout plat, tournez tous les contrôles
MIC1, MIC2 / AUX, Tone et Courant de
Boucle dans le sens antihoraire (les
mettre à leurs niveaux minimum).
(6) Choisissez la source d'alimentation
(batterie de voiture ou secteur) en
connectant à la prise d'alimentation

d'entrée 12V, le câble allume-cigare ou
l’adaptateur secteur.
(7) Connectez l'alimentation externe et
vérifiez que le voyant à la LED POWER
s’allume.
(8) Appliquez le signal d’entrée, par
exemple en parlant dans le micro MIC1
et tournez le contrôle MIC1 dans le sens
horaire jusqu'à ce que la LED
correspondante commence à s’allumer.
(9) Répéter l'opération pour la deuxième
entrée MIC2/AUX si elle est utilisée. Ce
réglage doit se faire sur une seule entrée
à la fois.
(10) Lorsque que le signal d'entrée est
présent, réglez le contrôle du courant de
boucle dans le sens horaire pour obtenir
le niveau optimale désiré du champ
magnétique rayonné par la boucle sans
distorsion. (La LED du courant de boucle
deviendra plus lumineuse).
(11) Testez la performance du système
en utilisant un mesureur de champ
magnétique. Ajuster les contrôles de
tonalité et de courant de boucle pour
atteindre la performance optimale
souhaitée.
Le réglage de tonalité permet de
compenser les pertes de signal audio
en haute fréquence lors de la
transmission.

ANTENNE ET PERFORMANCE
Pour des performances optimales,
utilisez les antennes de boucle
Geemarc disponibles en option ou une
boucle locale avec les spécifications
suivantes:
Résistance de boucle de 0,3 à 1 ohm
Impédance de boucle de 1,3 ohm à 1,6
KHz
Pour les boucles locales, utilisez du fil
de 0,5 à 1,5 mm2 (ou de 22 jusqu'à 16
AWG)
Nota : La zone de couverte optimale du
champ magnétique, du point central de
l'antenne jusqu’à l’utilisateur est
d’environ 80cm ± 60 °

chiffon doux. N’utilisez jamais de
produits d’entretiens car cela pourrait
endommager les composants
électriques de l’appareil.

Garantie:
Cet appareil est garanti 2 ans pièces et
main-d'oeuvre. La date d'achat figurant
sur le ticket de caisse fera foi. Cette
garantie s'exerce sous réserve d'une
utilisation normale de l'appareil. Les
dommages occasionnés par les
surtensions électriques, la foudre ou
par un choc sur l'appareil ne peuvent
en aucun cas être couverts par la
garantie. En cas de problème
fonctionnel et avant de nous retourner

Raccordement électrique:
L’appareil est prévu pour fonctionner
soit avec un adaptateur secteur 100-
250Vac-50-60Hz/12VDC-1.5A (Tension
classée “dangereuse” selon les critères
de la norme EN60950) soit avec un
adaptateur batterie voiture 12-13VDC.
Par précaution en cas de danger, le
bloc alimentation secteur sert de
dispositif de sectionnement de
l’alimentation 230V. Il doit être installé
à proximité du matériel et être aisément
accessible.
