The ex•tend•it CAT5•4000 Matrix KVM Switch/Extender
enables two users to switch between 2 PC or 2 Mac
CPUs from extended locations. The CAT5•4000 accesses
USB computers without the need for plug-in modules,
and is the only matrix KVM switch available that works
with USB keyboards and mouse devices.
The CAT5•4000 can be used as a single or multi-platform
switch between Apple G4, Windows 98, or Windows
2000 based computers. The CAT5•4000 uses standard
VGA cables for the video and USB cables for the key-
board/mouse and eliminates redundant and costly moni-
tors, keyboards and USB devices. Users can work indi-
vidually or share the same computer.
User-friendly features include an optional RMT-16 remote
control, and front panel buttons that allow the user to
switch and assign computers to a specific workstation.
The CAT5•4000 Matrix KVM Switch also has the ability
to extend computers up to 330 feet away from the key-
board, video and mouse using CAT-5 ex•tend•it technology.
The CAT5•4000S has a built-in rackmount enclosure.The
CAT5•4000R has an optional rackmount tray.
