Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist9
Active blind-spot detection technology helps monitor traffic around the
car. The system uses the rear corner radar to warn the driver of a vehicle
in the vehicle’s blind spot. The initial alert is warning lights in the outside
mirrors. If the driver ignores alerts and attempts to change lanes, the
system can automatically apply the left or right front brake to help avoid
a collision.
• Parking Exit Assist5helps prevent collisions when exiting
parallel parking spots. Provides visual, audible alerts and
braking. Can detect two lanes over.
Blind-Spot View Monitor2
(2.5T Prestige, 2.5T AWD Advanced, 2.5T AWD Prestige,
3.5T Advanced, 3.5T Advanced+, 3.5T Prestige)
Uses the side-view cameras that support Surround View Monitor
functions. Assists the driver in changing lanes by displaying a video
of the rear side view and blind-spot area in the vehicle’s instrument
cluster when the driver activates the turn signal. Video shows wider
field of vision than side mirror.
• In the Digital 3D cluster the
blind-spot video image can
appear over the left or right gauges,
corresponding to left or right turns.
• In the 8-inch cluster the blind-spot
video image appears over only the
right-hand digital gauge.

Use the Smartphone app or Near Field Communication Key Card to
lock/unlock and start vehicle. Digital Keys are tied to user Cloud profiles
to sync vehicle settings for individual drivers. Digital Keys can be easily
and securely shared with other drivers for vehicle access.
• Android smartphone app can also lock/unlock,
start vehicle, and open the liftgate
• NFC Key Card can lock/unlock and start vehicle
Drive Mode Select
Driver selectable modes include Comfort, Smart, Eco, Sport, and Custom.
• Drive Modes allow the driver to customize performance
and comfort. Drive Modes adjust response of engine and
transmission, steering feel, and suspension (on Electronically
Controlled Suspensions). Integrated with available AWD.
Driver Attention Warning12
Monitors the driving position to help detect reckless or fatigued driving
and recommend that the driver take a break. Displays driving status
level in the multi-information display. Analyzes the driving pattern
through vehicle signals such as steering angle, steering torque, and
vehicle position in traffic lane. Attracts driver’s attention with a pop-up
message and audible warning suggesting that the driver “consider
taking a break.”

Uses forward-facing camera to read road surface ahead.
• Preconditions the electronic suspension to smooth the
impact of speed bumps and pot holes
Ergo Motion Driver’s Seat
(2.5T Prestige, 2.5T AWD Prestige, 3.5T Advanced,
3.5T Advanced+, 3.5T Prestige)
Utilizes seven air bladders inside the seat to provide improved seat
comfort and posture correction.
• Includes optimized side support for Comfort and
Sport Drive Modes; also firms support for higher
vehicle speeds
• Stretching Mode provides individual control of air bladders
for a massage-like function
• Pop-up display on center touchscreen (when seat controls
are touched) provides feedback of operation in real time
Forward Attention Warning13
(3.5T Prestige)
For added safety, on 3.5T Prestige models with 3D Digital Gauges,
an infrared camera helps track the driver’s eyes to verify they are
looking forward, at the road. If the driver is not looking forward,
for extended periods, the driver will receive audible and gauge
cluster alerts.

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist w/ Pedestrian & Cyclist Detection,
Lane-Change Oncoming, Junction Turning, Junction Crossing, Lane-Change
Side & Evasive Steering Torque Assist8
Uses forward-view windshield camera, front radar, and front corner radars to “see” what is happening up ahead
to avoid a potential collision or reduce its impact. The system is designed to help detect a vehicle or pedestrian or cyclist
and warn the driver. If the driver doesn’t maneuver to avoid impact, the system can apply emergency braking or steering
assistance, depending on the situation.
Oncoming Vehicle
Junction Turning – When driver
uses turn signal for a left turn at an
intersection, the system alerts the
driver and can automatically brake
if an oncoming vehicle is detected
in the opposite lane.
Junction Crossing – When
entering an intersection, after alert,
brakes can be automatically applied
if a crossing vehicle coming from
left or right is detected
Lane-Change Oncoming –
When driving along a non-divided
highway, this helps prevent
collisions with a vehicle in an
opposing lane. Alerts driver and
assists with steering to help return
vehicle to its lane.
Steering torque assist
FCA 1st Warning
The Evasive Steering Torque Assist function will help avoid a collision with a vehicle, pedestrian or
cyclist ahead in the same lane. When a risk of collision is detected, the Evasive Steering Torque Assist
function will warn the driver and if the driver steers to avoid the collision it will assist the driver’s steering.

Highway Driving Assist II7
Assists driver in maintaining distance from cars ahead and
maintaining the driving path. Assists with changing lanes when
the driver operates the turn signal. Responds to vehicles that cut in at
close range when driving at low speeds. Performs deflection driving
in the current lane when a vehicle in the next lane moves close. Limits
vehicle speed when lateral control (Lane Following Assist) is canceled
due to continued hands-off driving. Adjusts steering feel according to
Drive Mode.
Lane Following Assist19
Uses the windshield-mounted forward-view camera. Activated by
the button on the steering wheel, this driver-selectable feature
gives steering assistance to help the driver stay in the center of their
lane, by recognizing both lane markers and vehicles traveling ahead.
If one lane marker is clear, it creates a “virtual lane” based on single
lane markers and the vehicle in front. If both lane markers are unclear,
it follows the preceding vehicle in a “virtual path.”
Lane Keeping Assist20
Uses the forward camera to recognize lane markers. Upon lane
departure without signaling for a lane change, the system provides
a visual and haptic steering wheel vibration to alert the driver, and
steering assist to help guide the vehicle back to the lane.

Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control

Highway Auto Curve Slowdown
When selected under Driving Assist, this function uses navigation
system data to reduce Smart Cruise Control speed for curves. After
passing the curve, the speed will be returned to the original Smart
Cruise Control setting.
Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist – Rear4
(2.5T Prestige, 2.5T AWD Advanced, 2.5T AWD Prestige,
3.5T Advanced, 3.5T Advanced+, 3.5T Prestige)
Helps prevent the vehicle from colliding with pedestrians or obstacles
while parking or exiting a parking spot. The system provides a warning.
If no action is taken, the brakes are then applied.
Parking Distance Warning – Front & Rear
Rear Parking Sensors
Uses sonar sensors in the rear bumper to sense objects nearby.
Activates when the transmission is in Reverse. When an object is
within 6 feet, the system sounds warning beeps. The beeps get faster
as the vehicle approaches the object. If the object is less than 1 foot
away, the warning tone sounds continuously.
• Rear system is automatic
Front & Rear Sensor Activation
• Press the Parking Safety button to turn on Front/Rear Parking
Distance Warning. Press the button again to turn the system off.

Passenger Talk and Quiet Mode
These convenience features are accessed on the menu of the center display.
Passenger Talk
Prevents the driver from having to shout to rear seat
passengers by using the driver’s built-in microphone to
“broadcast” through the vehicle’s speakers to the rear seat.
Quiet Mode
Accommodates sleeping rear passengers by shutting off
the rear speakers and turning the front speakers down to
volume 7.
Power Hands-free Smart Liftgate w/ Auto Open15
Opens the liftgate automatically when you stand within 3 feet behind the
vehicle with the Proximity Key in your possession for more than 3 seconds.
This is a convenient feature, especially when your hands are full.
• For “smart” liftgate function: all of the doors must be closed
and locked for at least 15 seconds and the driver’s Proximity
Key must have left the sensor’s range, at least momentarily
(like going into a store)
• Upon returning to the sensor’s range, at the rear of the vehicle,
the hazard warning lights will blink and a chime will sound for
about 3 seconds to alert you the Proximity Key has been detected
and that the liftgate will unlatch and open

Rear Cross-Trafc Collision-Avoidance Assist3
Alerts the driver to approaching vehicles when backing out of
a parking space, with an audible alert and warning lights in the
outside mirrors. If no action is taken, the brakes are then applied.
Remote Smart Parking Assist18

Assists with vehicle parking and exit from both inside and outside
the vehicle.
• Allows for remote parking in a variety of scenarios,
such as straight-in, parallel and perpendicular parking
• Driver activates Remote Smart Parking process by
pressing the “RSPA” button on center console
•While driving slowly forward, the vehicle searches for a nearby,
eligible parking spot, displaying the spot on the Surround View Monitor
• When an eligible parking spot is identified, the driver is asked to select
the appropriate Parking Type (straight-in, parallel, or 90-degree)
• Driver can stay in the vehicle as it self-parks, by holding down the
“RSPA” button to park or...
• For tight parking spaces—after designating the parking type from inside the vehicle,
the driver can get out and complete the Remote Smart Parking from outside the vehicle
• The driver presses and holds the “in” or “out” buttons on the
smart key to move the vehicle into or out of a parking space
