The camera requires periodic inspection.
Contact an authorised technician to carry out the inspection.
Stop using your camera when you find it malfunctioning.
If the camera emits smoke or is unusually hot for a long period, a fire
may be caused.
Do not Install the camera on a surface that can not support it.
If the camera is installed on an inappropriate surface, it may fall and
cause injury.

Image Camera

sensor, the camera produces HD image.
DNR (Digital Noise Reduction)
The amount of low illuminance noise has
been significantly reduced and the signal
to noise ratio (S/N ratio), as well as
horizontal resolution, have been improved
resulting in a clear and sharp image even
in low light.
RS-485 Communication
Control Support
Remote OSD menu control via an RS-485
interface is supported.
Filter Changeable Day & Night
(Optional)
This camera has a function that automatically
selects the mode that is appropriate for
daytime or night-time conditions.
The COLOUR mode operates in daytime
conditions to provide optimum colours and
BW mode operates in night time conditions
to enhance the definition of the image.

■Precautions
Do not install the camera in
extreme temperature conditions.
Do not install the camera under
unstable lighting conditions.
Do not touch the front lens of the
camera.
Only use the camera under conditions where
temperatures are between -10˚C and +50˚C.
Be especially careful to provide ventilation
when operating under high temperatures.
It can cause the image quality to be poor.
Severe lighting change or flicker can cause
the camera to work improperly.
This is one of the most important parts of
the camera. Be careful not to leave fingerprints
on the lens cover.
Do not install or use the camera in an
environment where the humidity is high.
ㆍIf the camera is exposed to spotlight or an object reflecting strong light,
smear or blooming may occur.
ㆍPlease check the power supply satisfies the normal specification before
connecting the camera.
It can cause malfunctions to occur.
If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately.
Liquids can contain minerals that corrode
the electronic components.
If exposed to radioactivity the CCD will fail.
It can damage the CCD.
Do not drop the camera and protect
it from physical shocks.
Do not expose the camera to rain
or spill beverage on it.
Do not expose the camera to
radioactivity.
Never keep the camera pointed
directly at strong light.

■Installation Installation ■
Lenses are sold separately. Lenses such as auto iris lens, CS-Mount
lens and C-Mount lens can be used.
1. Peel off about 8mm of the outer skin of the auto iris lens cable.
2. Peel off about 2mm of the outer skin of the insulated conductor inside
thelens cable.

Note
ㆍUse of the DC auto iris lens is recommended to achieve the best
results for operating this product effectively.
ㆍKeep the lens clean.
ㆍAny foreign objects and fingermarks on the lens can cause inferior
image quality in low light level conditions.
3. Remove the cover of the auto iris lens connection plug and solder the lens
cable to the connector pin in the plug.
4. Replace the auto iris lens connection plug cover and take off the lens
protection cap, and then attach the auto iris lens to the camera by screwing
it in clockwise.
5. Insert the connection plug that is connected to the auto iris lens cable into
the auto lens connector, which is located on the back of the camera.

Take off the lens protection cap and attach
the CS-Mount lens to the camera by screwing
it in clockwise.
Note
ㆍUse the specified lens connection parts as shown in the picture below.
The use of the wrong sized parts may cause damage
to the inside of the camera or result in poor fitting.
ㆍUse of a lens which is too heavy affects the balance
of the camera and may cause a malfunction.
Please use a lens that weighs less than 450g.
ㆍSelect Av mode if possible when adjusting the
automatic light control (ALC) of an auto lens.
Use of PK mode may cause hunting.
1. Take off the lens protection cap and
attach the C-mount adaptor.
2. Attach the C-Mount lens to the
camera by screwing it in clockwise.
■Connecting to a monitor
HD-SDI Output
ㆍConnect the HD-SDI output terminal located on the back of the
camera to the HD-SDI input port of the HD-SDI monitor.
Composite Output
ㆍConnect the COMPOSITE output terminal located on the back of the
camera to the VIDEO input port of the monitor.
ㆍThe connection method varies depending on the type of monitor and
accessories. Please refer to the monitor user manual.

ㆍWhen you push the joystick LEFT or RIGHT, available values and modes
are displayed in order. Keep pushing the joystick until you get to the
mode you wish to select.
4. Select 'EXIT' and then press the joystick to exit the set up menu.
This function is used to select the LENS type. Because this camera adopts
DC IRIS LENS, choose the 'DC'.

■Camera Operation
● SHUTTER : Auto or manual control can be selected.
- Selectable speeds are from '1/30' to '1/50,000'sec (NTSC) and '1/25'
to '1/50,000'sec (PAL).
● AGC (AUTO GAIN CONTROL) : The higher the gain level, the brighter
the screen - but the higher the noise.
- HIGH : The gain varies between the range of 6dB ~ 42dB.
- MIDDLE : The gain varies between the range of 6dB ~ 30dB.
- LOW : The gain varies between the range of 6dB ~ 18dB.
● SENS-UP : When it is night and dark, the camera accumulates frames
to obtain a clear image. Camera automatically decides a sens-up level
up to 30 times.
● BRIGHTNESS : Can adjust the brightness of image.
Push the joystick LEFT to decrease the brightness and RIGHT to increase
the brightness.
● ACCE (Adaptive Contrast & Colour Enhancement) : ACCE block
preforms an image enhancement precessing to enhance visibility of an
image by changing the brightness values to the level that people can
recognize the change.
● DEFOG : Image in extraordinary environment such as fog or rain or in
a very strong luminous intensity have DR(Dynamic Range), lower than
ordinary images.

●ATW (Auto Tracking White Balance) : This mode can be used with
in the colour temperature range 2,500˚K~11,000˚K.
●AWC→SET : Press the SET button while thecamera is directed at a
piece of white paper to obtain the optimum stateunder current illumination.
If the environment, including the light source,changes the white balance
will need to be adjusted again.
●INDOOR / OUTDOOR : This mode fixed colour and temperature.
The colour and temperature are set, and the user can choose a mode.
●MANUAL : The manual adjustment mode enables finer adjustment.
Select manual adjustment mode and press the SET button. Set the
appropriate colour temperature then increase / decrease the red and
blue colour values and monitor the colour changes of the object.

●BACKLIGHT : When there is a strong backlight behind the object, clear
images of the background as well as the object can still be obtained by
using the BACKLIGHT function.
- OFF : Not being used.
- BLC : Enables a user to directly select a desired area from a picture,
and to view the area more clearly.
- HSBLC : HSBLC is a function to mask bright areas in order to present
the target object from looking dark due to the backlighting.
ㆍUnder the following conditions the WHITE BALANCE function may not
operate properly. In such cases, please select the FIXED mode or
MANUAL mode.
①When the object's surroundings have a very high colour temperature.
(eg, a clear sky and sunset)
②When the object's surroundings are dark.
③If the camera directly faces a fluorescent light or is installed in a place
where there are considerable changes in illumination, the WHITE
BALANCE function may become unstable.

NR
Noise Reduction (NR) is used in order to obtain a high quality output image
and enhance compression efficiency. This camera offers edge preserving
2D NR and motion adaptive 3D NR.
1. When the SETUP menu screen is displayed, select 'NR' pushing the joystick
Up and Down.
Pictures can be displayed in either colour or black and white.

2. Select the 'AUTO' mode pushing the joystick Left and Right.
●COLOUR : The picture is displayed in colour.
●AUTO : This function automatically changes
to appropriate mode according to lighting
levels. The changing time and delay time
is selectable.
●B/W : The picture is always displayed in
black and white.
●EXT : This mode allows the application of
a filter to external signals.
Note
• When using a Video Auto Iris Lens, if the lens level is too low,automatic
switching between Colour and Black & White may not occur.
• The DAY/NIGHT menu cannot be controlled when AGC in the EXPOSURE
menu is 'OFF'. If so, the changeover between DAY mode and NIGHT
mode operates the same as selecting 'COLOUR' mode.
• The OSD keys do not work for 3 seconds after switching to Colour or B/W.
This is to ensure a stable camera operation.
• Since the camera may not focus as well under infrared illumination at
night as it does under normal illumination, install an Extra-low Dispersion
Lens to obtain sharp pictures.

①When the SPECIAL menu screen is displayed, use the Up and Down
buttons to point the cursor to 'CAM TITLE'.
②Set to 'ON' using the Left and Right buttons.
③Press the SET button.
④Use the 4 directional buttons to move to a character, and select it by
pressing the SET button. Repeat this action to enter multiple characters.
Up to 15 alphanumeric characters can be used.
Note
• If the cursor is moved to CLR and the SET button pressed, all letters
are deleted. To edit a letter, change the cursor to the bottom left arrow
and press the SET button. Move the cursor over the letter to be edited,
move the cursor to the letter to be inserted and then press the SET button.

movements of objects in 3 different areas on the screen, and the green
shape appear on the screen when movement is detected; hence a
single individual can conduct supervision efficiently.
The camera detects an object's movement by sensing disparity of outline,
and level of brightness and colour.

Problems
Nothing appears on the
screen.
The video image is not
clear.
The screen is dark.
There is a problem with

ㆍCheck the power connection.
ㆍCheck the video signal line connection.

Clean the lens with a clean lint free cloth or brush.
ㆍMake sure that the screen is not exposed directly
to a bright light.
Re-position the camera if necessary.
ㆍRe-adjust the back focus of the camera.
ㆍAdjust the contrast control on the monitor.
ㆍAdjust the contrast control on the monitor.
ㆍIf there is an intermediate device, set the75ohm
Hi-z correctly, and also check the connections.
ㆍCheck the brightness level.
ㆍPlease check if an appropriate power source to
the camera complies with the manufacturer's
standard requirement, or if the voltage is fluctuating.
Check for ground loops.
Troubleshooting
Colours are not quite
right. ㆍCheck the 'WHITE BAL' setting.

or fluorescent light.
