1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1. Intended use: Irrigation pump “Estus Pump” is intended to supply
the irrigating solution to the root canal during the operation of the
endomotor “Estus Drive” with the self-adjusted files (SAF).
1.2. Indication for use: “Estus Pump” is a device to use in dentistry for
the endodontic treatment on the stage of the preparation with the
simultaneous root canal irrigation. The manufacturer is not
responsible for any dangerous situation while using the device for
purposes other than that intended.
1.3. Application field: The device is for use ONLY in medical
facilities.
1.4. Potential users: ONLY the licensed dentists.
1.5. Contraindications and adverse reactions: Without finding.
1.6. Contact type with a patient: No contact.
1.7. Operating principal:
The root canal irrigation by the irrigating solution supply from the
special bottle through the silicon tubes to the root canal with the
peristaltic pump built-in the device. Efficiency and the solution supply
time are controlled by the endodontic motor “Estus Drive”, paired with
the pump by radio channel
1.8. Functional abilities:
 Irrigating solution supply to the canal with the efficiency from 1 to 5
ml/min.
 The pump is controlled by the “Estus Drive” endomotor via the
radio channel
 RINSE function is for the prompt filling of the irrigation line with

the required solution at the procedure beginning and also for
rinsing the irrigation line at the device usage finishing.
 Audio indication during operation and function of the audio signal
volume adjustment.
 Indication of the power supply discharge.
 Power saving function.
1.9. Precautions and Warnings
! Use the product with the original “Geosoft Dent” accessories only
(see section 3).
!Do not disassemble or modify the product. Violation of the device
integrity cancels the warranty.
!Avoid letting any liquid inside the product’s housing.
!Do not use the device close to flammable agents. The device is not
suitable for use in presence of flammable anesthetic agents with air,
oxygen or nitric oxide.
!Use sterile and disinfected parts and accessories of the device only.
Sterilization and disinfection must be conducted directly before the
initial use and also between each patient use to avoid cross infection.
(for more details see section 7).
! This device requires special measures application for
electromagnetic capability (EMC) and should be installed and
switched into operation accordingly with the information in the
Appendix of the «Estus Drive» endomotor User’s Manual. It includes
the requirement not to use the device close to daylight lamps, radio
transmitting equipment and remote controls.
! Dysfunction of the device operation is possible if used in
electromagnetic interference (EMI) area. Do not use the device close
to the electromagnetic equipment. This equipment is usually marked
by the sign

!Do not use the device jointly with the different equipment or as a
part of the equipment, not included into the manufacturer’s product
list.
! The device operates normally at a temperature of 10-35°С, relative
humidity of air not more than 80%, atmospheric pressure (101±3) kPa.
Any violation of these restrictions may cause the device error.

6. PREPARATORY STAGE AND
WORKING PROCEDURE
Step 1. Battery unit

А) Take the battery unit out
of the pump unit
After transporting the device at the temperature less than + 5°C,
before use, keep it at the indoor temperature for 1 hour.

C) Connect the cable USB- USB-B to the сharging stand and the
power adapter, then put the power adapter into the mains socket.
D) Wait till the battery is fully charged.

E) Take the charged battery unit out of the сharging stand and put it
into the pump unit.
Average charging time is about 1 hour, but it depends on the
current charge level, the battery wear rate and outer temperature.
The used battery performance and the charging process is shorter
than the new ones. At the significant reduction of the battery
performance time and/or charging time you should apply to the
maintenance service for replacing the battery unit. (see section 3).

In the absence of the battery unit in the socket of the сharging
stand, the voltage is automatically disconnected from the
terminals of the сharging stand, ensuring complete electrical safety of
the product. In spite of it, do not allow any liquids to get into the
socket of the сharging stand. In a case of liquid getting to avoid the
terminals corrosion, carefully wipe the charging cavity of the
сharging stand with a napkin, after disconnecting the charge cable
from the mains socket.
Charge battery unit in a timely manner. Do not let the battery
unit discharge completely.

Step 2. Installation of the pump cassette with silicon tubing
А) Install the pump cassette in the special well on the pump unit. To
fix the cassette rotate it clockwise to the typical click:
Sterilize the pump cassette with silicon tubing before the first use
and between each patient use (see section 7 “Sterilization and
disinfection”).
B) Joint the silicon tube
without the connector to the
left pump lead-out (if it is not
jointed).

Step 3. Installation of the bottle with irrigating solution
А) Fill the bottle with irrigating solution, for example, sodium
hypochlorite. Be sure to pour the solution into the bottle on the
distance of the device to avoid letting the aggressive solution on the
device elements.
Step 4. Silicon tubing assembling
А) Insert the silicone tube without a connector into the aperture on the
cap and lower the tube to the bottom of the bottle, joining the grey
mark on the tube with the aperture on the cap.
For teeth treatment use only quality irrigating solution.
Use only the bottle for solution from the delivery set. If necessary the
additional bottle could be purchased from the manufacturer (see
section 3).
B) Close the bottle with the cap
with an aperture for a tube.
C) Remove the solution residue
with the moist cloth and dry the
bottle before placing it in the
holder on the pump unit.
D) Place the bottle with the
solution in the holder on the
pump unit.

B) Joint the Luer connector on the pump cassette tube (m) to the Luer
connector on the silicon tube (f), slightly rotating Luer (m) clockwise.
D) Put the ring-shaped adapter on the loose end of the silicon tube.
E) Place the ring-shaped adapter on the SAF head of the “Estus Drive”
endomotor maximal close to the motor housing, putting the adapter
from the side of the head working part.
C) Make sure the tubes are
fixed firmly.
Be sure to sterilize the
silicon tube with a ring-
shaped adapter before use (see
section 7 “Sterilization and
disinfection”).

F) Connect the nozzle of

Step 8. Pair creating mode activation
To start the pump operation with the “Estus Drive” endomotor it is
necessary to create a pair with the device by radio channel.
B) Then follow the instruction in the “Estus Drive” endomotor user’s
manual (Step 13.3)
Step 9. Pump operation
Pump operation starts automatically in 2 seconds after the endomotor
start in SAF mode.
To select the required volume
level hold the button when

Irrigating solution is supplied with the efficiency, chosen on the
endomotor - from 1 to 5 ml/min.
The pump stops operating automatically in 1-2 seconds after
endomotor operation stop. The pump cassette makes one reverse
rotation to prevent the drops formation on the SAF-file.
Step 10. RINSE function
RINSE function provides fast liquid flow in the irrigation system.
The function is used for the prompt filling of the irrigation line with
the required solution at the procedure beginning and also for rinsing
the irrigation line at the device usage finishing.
To prevent the salt deposits formation in the silicon tubes use distilled
water for rinsing.
Stop pressing the button to switch the function off.
Be careful when the RINSE function is used to fill the irrigation
line with irrigating solution, especially when potentially
hazardous solutions are used. Do not allow the solution to leak from
the outlet of the irrigation tube.
Stop the motor rotation (if it
