Chapter 1: System Description
Function and Theory
The Geotech Reclaimer can be configure as a Top fill, Bottom fill, or Top an Bottom fill fixe
intake, positive air isplacement pump. The Geotech Reclaimer is esigne for total flui s,
hy rocarbon, leachate, an con ensate recovery. The Geotech Reclaimer is esigne to with-
stan most aggressive own well environments inclu ing highly corrosive flui s without fear of
material break own or failure.
The Geotech Reclaimer will recover flui s from epths up to 500' (152 m).
Refer to the operation section of this manual.
Flow rates of up to 3 GPM (11.4 LPM) are possible.
Refer to the specifications section of this manual.
The Geotech 1.66" Reclaimer will operate in wells 2" (5cm) insi e iameter or larger vertical wells.

Chapter 2: System Installation
Attach pro uct ischarge an air supply hoses to the proper barbe fittings on the pump.
Refer to Figures 1 an 2 below for fitting configurations.
If pump configuration was not assemble as a complete system,
please use the following steps:
Attach air supply hose to Geotech pneumatic controller air supply fitting.
Ensure all hoses are installe properly an securely to the fittings.
Attach the safety cable to the support loop using proper crimps or cable clamps.
The Reclaimer can now be lowere into the recovery well. For optimum efficiency, the
Reclaimer must be positione in the well with the intake a equately submerge .

Chapter 3: System Operation
Compressed air is utilized in this system. For pressure requirements use .5
psi per oot (.03 bar per 30.5 cm) o li t plus ten. Example: 30' (9 m) o head
would need a minimum o 25 psi (1.7 bar). Consult the controller manual or
air pressure requirements needed.
TOP FILL
The Top Fill Reclaimer is place in a recovery well with the top inlet submerge below static
groun water. Combine with the Geotech Pneumatic Controller, the Reclaimer cyclically fills
an empties.
Well recharge rate and time sequence settings on the Geotech Pneumatic
Controller will a ect the maintainable luid level.
BOTTOM FILL
The Bottom Fill Reclaimer is place in a recovery well with the bottom intake submerge below
static groun water. Combine with Geotech’s Pneumatic Controller, the Reclaimer cyclically
fills an empties.
Well recharge rate and time sequence settings on the Geotech Pneumatic
Controller will a ect the maintainable luid level, see Figure 3.

Chapter 4: System Maintenance
The Geotech Reclaimer has been esigne to be virtually maintenance free. In the event
clogging occurs in the pump or trappe particulate in the check ball seats, isassemble the
Reclaimer pump an rinse with soapy or clean water to islo ge any matter. The Reclaimer
is constructe of 300 series stainless steel an PTFE to provi e many years of continue serv-
ice with minimal maintenance. See Figure 4.

Chapter 5: System Troubleshooting
Problem: Pump does not discharge luid to the sur ace.
Solutions:
1. Check controller to ensure it is functioning properly. Consult controller manual.
2. Ensure that the air pressure is a equate enough to overcome the total ynamic hea
pressure the pump is working against. (Consult the controller manual for air pressure
requirements nee e .)
3. Inlet screen is clogge – Remove pump from well, isassemble, clean screen
4. Inlet pipe plug is clogge – Remove pump from well, isassemble, clear, clean plug
5. Air exhaust vent hose is clogge – Remove pump from well, isassemble, clear vent hose
6. Hoses are kinke or cut – Replace amage hoses

THE WARRANTY
For a perio of one (1) year from ate of first sale, pro uct is warrante to be free from efects
in materials an workmanship. Geotech agrees to repair or replace, at Geotech’s option, the
portion proving efective, or at our option to refun the purchase price thereof. Geotech will
have no warranty obligation if the pro uct is subjecte to abnormal operating con itions, acci-
ent, abuse, misuse, unauthorize mo ification, alteration, repair, or replacement of wear parts.
User assumes all other risk, if any, inclu ing the risk of injury, loss, or amage, irect or conse-
quential, arising out of the use, misuse, or inability to use this pro uct. User agrees to use,
maintain an install pro uct in accor ance with recommen ations an instructions. User is
responsible for transportation charges connecte to the repair or replacement of pro uct
un er this warranty.
Equipment Return Policy
A Return Material Authorization number (RMA #) is require prior to return of any equipment to
our facilities, please call 800 number for appropriate location. An RMA # will be issue upon
receipt of your request to return equipment, which shoul inclu e reasons for the return. Your
return shipment to us must have this RMA # clearly marke on the outsi e of the package.
Proof of ate of purchase is require for processing of all warranty requests.
This policy applies to both equipment sales an repair or ers.
