Instruction for Use for Portable Lift “Reacher”
Model #700-08310 and # 700-08320
The “Reacher” provides an easy way to install
and remove a portable lift from the track trolley.
How to install and use the Reacher
1) If applicable, remove the existing single action carabiner from the reacher and/or lift’s strap, and dispose of
it properly.
2) Hook the new triple action carabiner to the lift’s strap.
To open the triple action carabiner, proceed as shown
in the picture at right.
3) Hook the lift’s carabiner onto the closed ring of the reacher.
4) Unwind the strap from the lift long enough to be able to reach the trolley without supporting the weight of
the lift.
5) Insert the hook of the “Reacher” into the track trolley eyelet.

WARNING: Any other installation method is unsafe and may result in injuries.

WARNING: Be careful when applying weight to the strap as the
“Reacher” will quickly move up to an horizontal position which could
hit people standing close by, resulting in injuries.
6) The patient can be lifted after the portable lift and the reacher are
properly installed.

Removing the “Reacher”
1) To remove the reacher from the trolley, hold the portable lift by the handle to remove tension from the strap.
WARNING: Be careful when removing weight from the strap as the
“Reacher” will quickly move down to a vertical position which could hit
people standing close by, resulting in injuries.
2) Once the “Reacher” is vertical, grab the handle an unhook it from
the trolley.
