K470W
Leggere attentamente queste istruzioni prima di installare il dispositivo
e conservarle per successive consultazioni.
La confezione contiene: 1 cronotermostato K470W con ghiera di ssaggio
M30x1,5 mm, 1 sacchetto R453HY012 contenente adattatore per ghiera di
ssaggio M30x1,5 mm; 1 manuale d’istallazione ed uso.
Applicazione secondo direttiva
Acquistando il K470W si ha un termostato programmabile per
radiatori che può quindi essere usato per regolare le temperature
in ambienti chiusi e pertanto contribuire al risparmio energetico.
Si prega di utilizzare il K470W solo per questo scopo.

Impostazioni menù
Premendo il tasto MENU si accede al menu di congurazione.
Con la rotella di selezione si va a selezionare la voce desiderata, voce
che viene poi confermata dalla pressione del tasto OK .
Il tasto MENU riporta al livello precedente.
PAIR JOIN = aggiungi processo
DEL = elimina processo
ADAP Nuovo adattamento dell’otturatore sulla valvola
INST Funzione installazione (installare il cronotermostato
sull‘adattatore solo quando è presente la scritta INST sul
display)
RES Reimpostazione del dispositivo alle impostazioni di
fabbrica. La connessione radio continua ad esistere.
STBY Display in stand-by
VERS Indica la corrente versione del rmware
Prima di inserire le batterie, procedere installando il
corretto adattatore sul corpo valvola.
Inserimento / sostituzione batterie
Rimuove il coperchio delle batterie premendolo verso l’alto nel punto
evidenziato (1) e poi tirandolo (2).

Inserire quindi le batterie come riportato all’interno del K470W.
Non utilizzare accumulatori! Assicurarsi che le polarità siano cor-
rette! Attenzione: non ricaricare le batterie, pericolo di esplosione!
Non smontare le batterie! Togliere immediatamente le batterie
scariche dal dispositivo. Tenere le batterie lontano da fonti calore
– pericolo di perdite! Non applicare insieme batterie usate e nuove.
Se necessario, pulire le batterie ed i contatti prima che vengano
utilizzate. Tenere le batterie lontano dalla portata dei bambini.
Se si viene a contatto con il liquido della batteria sciacquare immedia-
tamente la parte interessata e consultare un medico.
Preparazione per l’installazione
Sul display verrà visualizzato . L’otturatore si sposterà ora nella
posizione di installazione per facilitarne il posizionamento sulla valvola.
Appena il cronotermostato K470W è pronto per l’installazione, sul
display verrà visualizzato .
Installazione su valvole termostatizzabili Giacomini con attacco
M30x1,5 mm
Il cronotermostato si installa su tutte le valvole termostatizzabili
Giacomini serie H, con attacco M30x1,5 mm, come di seguito illustrato:
• Avvitare la ghiera (B) del cronotermostato, sulla valvola del radiatore (A).

Installazione su altre valvole termostatizzabili Giacomini
Per l’installazione su corpi valvola termostatizzabili Giacomini utilizzare
il contenuto del sacchetto R453HY012 compreso nella confezione del
cronotermostato.
• Applicare la ghiera letta (C) agganciandola ai pioli di riferimento (P)
presenti sulla valvola (D) del radiatore.

• Avvitare la ghiera (B) del cronotermostato, sulla valvola del radiatore
(C+D).

Il cronotermostato deve essere in modalità “INST” o “ON” per applicarlo
alla ghiera con una minima forza.
Se il cronotermostato viene installato successivamente, selezionare il
menù “INST” prima di applicarlo alla ghiera.
Per una migliore regolazione di temperatrura, si consiglia di installare il
cronotermostato con il visualizzatore rivolto verso l’alto.
Adattamento sulla valvola
Prima installazione: premere il pulsante MENU e scorrere con la rotellina
no a quando appare sul display la scritta .
Premere OK così che il cronotermostato K470W sarà in grado di
iniziare il suo adattamento. Il cronotermostato K470W si adatterà alla
corsa della valvola termostatizzabile.
Questa operazione può richiedere qualche minuto.
Finito l’adattamento il K470W ritorna in modalità normale.
• Se è richiesto un altro adattamento, per esempio se la valvola non
ha chiuso completamente durante il primo adattamento, selezionare
dopo aver premuto il pulsante MENU e far ripartire l’operazione.
Congurazione/eliminazione dalla rete wireless
Per congurare/eliminare manualmente il K470W ad una rete wireless,
iniziare il processo di congurazione dal display KD410.
Successivamente selezionare il menù PAIR sul cronotermostato K470W
e confermare con OK .
Poi selezionare il menù JOIN e confermare con OK .
Entro 90 secondi il K470W si sarà connesso con successo alla rete se
l’icona di segnalazione wireless rimarrà accesa ssa.
Per eliminare la connessione del K470W dalla rete, selezionare il menù
PAIR e poi il menù DEL e confermare con OK .
Entro 90 secondi il K470W si sarà disconnesso con successo dalla rete se
l’icona di segnalazione wireless scomparirà.
Dopo la connessione e l’apparizione del simbolo
, se per errore si preme nuovamente OK al JOIN
la valvola lascia il Display KD410 associato e lo
abbandona per cercare un altro Display KD410
- non più quello a cui era associato -.
È consigliabile utilizzare il DEL prima di riprovare una seconda
volta il JOIN sullo stesso Display KD410.
Rimozione del cronotermostato
• Impostare la temperatura max. con il selettore a rotella (sul display
appare ON) ed attendere almeno 1 min.
• Svitare la ghiera (B) del cronotermostato dalla valvola del radiatore.

OPERAZIONI DI BASE
Con la rotella di selezione è possibile modicare la temperatura
ambiente in qualsiasi momento.
FUNZIONI SPECIALI
Funzione timer
La funzione timer viene selezionata con il pulsante .
Con questa funzione può essere impostata una determinata
temperatura per un intervallo di tempo prestabilito.
Premere il tasto . Per prima cosa, viene mostrato il tempo in cui il
programma viene attivato. Confermare con il pulsante OK .
La temperatura desiderata può essere ora impostata.
Premere il pulsante OK per conferma.
Durante il periodo impostato non è possibile cambiare la temperatura
manualmente. Con il pulsante MENU la funzione può essere disattivata.
Funzione nestra aperta
Se si apre una nestra si ha una notevole dispersione termica con un
calo repentino della temperatura. In questo caso il cronotermostato
K470W chiuderà automaticamente la valvola radiatore per risparmiare
energia. Sul display si visualizzerà il simbolo .
Funzione fuori casa (vacanza)
La modalità fuori casa si può impostare solamente dal display KD410
o dalla APP dedicata. Attivando la modalità vacanza TUTTI i K470W
connessi alla rete vanno in OFF.
La modalità vacanza si disattiva sempre e solo dal display KD410 o dalla
APP dedicata.
Sicurezza bambini
Il cronotermostato K470W può essere bloccato per proteggerlo da
attivazioni non autorizzate. Premere il pulsante OK + nello
stesso momento per circa 2 secondi no a quando sul display non
appare il simbolo al ne di bloccare il dispositivo.
Usando di nuovo questa combinazione il simbolo non viene più
visualizzato e il cronotermostato K470W si sblocca.
Display LCD in standby
Il display va automaticamente in Standby dopo circa 30 sec.
Per riattivarlo premere un qualsiasi tasto o la rotella.
Ritorno al setting di fabbrica/Reset
Premere MENU . Selezionare la voce con la rotella di selezione.
Confermare con OK . Il display mostra la scritta lampeggiante,
confermare con il tasto OK . Il K470W è resettato.
Il cronotermostato rimane comunque connesso alla rete.
Le protezioni antigelo e antigrippaggio sono attive
automaticamente:
Funzione protezione antigelo
Se la temperatura scende sotto 6°C, il cronotermostato K470W apre la
valvola no a che la temperatura risale a 8°C. Questo per prevenire la
formazione di ghiaccio nei radiatori.
Funzione antigrippaggio
Per prevenire la formazione di depositi solidi nella valvola radiatore
il cronotermostato K470W attiva il programma antigrippaggio con
frequenza settimanale il Venerdì mattina.

INFORMAZIONI RIGUARDANTI

batterie non possono essere smaltiti con i normali riuti
domestici. Il consumatore è tenuto per legge a smaltire questi articoli
attraverso i punti di raccolta. Restrizioni e requisiti locali sono ssati
dalle autorità locali. Il simbolo riportato sul prodotto, imballaggio o
manuale d‘uso indica la classicazione del prodotto.
Lo smaltimento di questi dispositivi e batterie usate in modo
responsabile ha un ruolo importante negli sforzi per proteggere
l‘ambiente.

Read these instructions carefully before installing the device, and keep
them for future consultation.
The pack contains: n.1 chronothermostat K470W with xing ring nut
M30x1,5 mm, n.1 sachet R453HY012 containing an adaptor for the ring
nut M30x1,5 mm; n.1 installation and user manual.
Application as directed
By purchasing the K470W wireless chronothermostat you own a
programmable radiator thermostat which can be used for temperature
regulations in enclosed rooms and therefore, it can contribute to the
reduction of heating energy.
Please use the thermostat only for this purpose.

Setup menu
By pressing MENU you will arrive at the set up menu. Please choose
one of the items with the selector wheel.
With OK you can select one menu item and with the selection
wheel they can be adjusted. The button OK conrms the setting.
The button MENU leads to the previous level.
PAIR JOIN = addition process
DEL = deletion process
ADAP Starting of a new valve adjustment
INST Installation function (Please only attach The controller
to the coupling ring when INST shows on screen)
RES Reset of the device to factory default.
The radio connection will continue to exist.
STBY Turns the LCD on or o to save battery power
VERS Shows current rmware version
Before installing the batteries, proceed by installing
the correct adapters on the valve body.
Inserting / replacing batteries
Remove the battery lid by pressing the battery lid upwards (1) at the
highlighted point and then taking it out (2).

Never recharge batteries, danger of explosion! Do not short circuit bat-
teries! Take low batteries out of the device immediately.
Keep batteries away from extreme warming – danger of leakage!
Do not apply used and new batteries together.
If needed, clean the battery and the contacts before using them.
Keep the batteries away from children. Avoid contact with the eyes
and mucous membranes. When getting in touch with battery acid
instantly irrigate the aected partswith clear water and call a doctor.
Preparation for installation
On the display will be shown. Now, the motor will completely
move to the installation position in order to make the installation
easier. As soon as K470W is ready for installation will be shown on
the display ( - any time selected in the menu).
Now please do not press any other buttons!
Plug device for coupling ring.
Installation on Giacomini valves with thermostatic option,
with connection M30x1,5 mm
The chronothermostat is installed on all the Giacomini valves with
thermostatic option of the H series, with connection M30x1,5 mm, as
shown below:
• Tighten the ring nut (B) of the chronothermostat on the radiator valve (A).

Installation on other Giacomini valves with thermostatic option
When installing on Giacomini valves with thermostatic option, use the
contents of the sachet R453HY012 (included in the chronothermostat
package).
• Fit the threaded ring nut (C), coupling it with the reference pins (P) on
the radiator valve (D).

• Tighten the ring nut (B) of the chronothermostat on the radiator valve
(C+D).

The chronothermostat must be in “INST” or “ON” mode in order to x it
to the ring nut without too much eort.
If the chronothermostat is installed at a later time, select the “INST”
menu before xing it to the ring nut.
To ensure better temperature adjustment, you are advised to install the
chronothermostat with the display facing upwards.
Adaptation
Initial installation: press the button OK until appears on the
display so that K470W will be able to start its adaptation.
The device will adapt itself to the stroke of your valve body.
To do this the valve will now be opened and closed several times to
store the end points. In some cases this process can take a few minutes.
After successful adaptation it returns to normal mode.
• Should adaptation become necessary again, e.g. if your radiator does
not cool down in the position, please press in the menu the button
until adaptation starts again.
Addition/removal to/from the network
In order to enrol and delete the device manually, start the enrolment/
deletion process of your display KD410.
Now select the menu PAIR at the thermostat and conrm with OK .
Now select the menu item JOIN and conrm with OK .
Within 90 sec. the device has successfully joined the network if the
wireless icon lights up permanently.
To remove the device from a network, select the menu PAIR, then select
the submenu DEL by using the selector wheel and conrm with OK .
he device performs the delete operation and will be removed from the
network (within 90 sec.).
After the connection and the appearance of the
symbol , if you accidentally press OK again to
JOIN, the valve leave the associate Display KD410
to search another Display KD410 - no longer what
it was associated -.
You should use the DEL before trying a second time the JOIN on
the same Display KD410.
Removing the chronotermostat
Set the maximum temperature via the wheel selector (the display will
show “ON”) and wait at least one minute. Unscrew the ring nut (B) of
the chronothermostat from the radiator valve.

BASIC OPERATING MODES
With the selector wheel is possible to change the ambient temperature
in every moments.
FURTHER FUNCTIONS
Timer function
The timer function is selected with the timer-button .
With this function a user-dened temperature for a programmable
period can be entered.
This can be very useful in case of a party, for example.
Press rst, the time for which the time programme has been
deactivated is shown. Conrm with OK .
Now, the desired temperature can be set. Conrm with OK .
In the selected period it is not possible to change the temperature
manual, the wheel is locked. Press Menu to unlock it.
Window function
If you open a window and consequently the temperature drops
signicantly, the K470W will automatically close the heating valve in
order to save energy. The display will show .
Afterwards, the K470W will resume normal operation.
Vacation function
The vacation mode can be set only by the KD410 display or the
dedicated APP. Activating the holiday mode ALL the K470W connected
to the network go OFF. The holiday mode is always and only deactivated
by the KD410 display or the dedicated APP.
Child lock
You can lock the K470W to protect the device from unauthorized
activation. Press the buttons OK + at the same time for about
2 seconds until the signal appears on the display in order to lock the
device. By using this button combination again the symbol disappears
and you release the lock.
Display in standby
The display goes in standby mode automatically after 30 sec.
To reactive it, press any buttons or the selector wheel.
Going back to factory preset/All reset
Press MENU . Select the menu item with the selector wheel.
Conrm with OK . ashes, conrm with OK .
K470W is reset again. Now, proceed as described for the initial
operation. The unit is still connected to the network.
Freeze protection and calcication protection function are
active automatically:
Freeze protection function
If the temperature drops below 6°C, the K470W opens the valve until the
temperature again rises above 8°C.
This prevents the radiators from freezing.
Calcication protection function
To prevent radiator valves from calcifying, the K470W is submitted to a
calcication protection programme once a week on Friday mornings.

INFORMATION CONCERNING
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Since the adoption of the European guidelines 2002/96/EG
and 2006/66/EG into national law the following applies:
Electric and electronic devices as well as batteries may not
be disposed of with the normal household refuse. The
consumer is legally required to dispose of these articles through the
ocial collection points or to return them to the place of purchase.
Local restrictions and requirements are set by local authorities. The
symbol found on the product, packaging or users manual indicates
the classication of the product. By disposing of these used devices
and batteries in a responsible manner you are playing an important
role in our eorts to protect our environment.

install it to the radiator

it once again.
- By pressing OK button message will be deleted in
the display and the adapter is re-started (display
shows PREP and afterwards INST).

Keeping the KD410 display o for long periods can
