1 General information
1.1 Marking concept for hazards and hints
Hazard
Hazardous situation which will cause serious injury or even death if it is not prevented.
Caution
Hazardous situation which could cause slight to moderate injury if it is not prevented.
Hint
Indicates information which does not concern personal injury, e.g. hints in respect of material damage.
Protective measures
Increase safety by applying a protective measure.
1.2 Responsibilities of the operator
-Make sure that this document is always kept in a safe place in a legible form together with the product.
-Read these instructions carefully before first start-up of the product.
-This product has been developed and produced exclusively for the use indicated in these documents.
Every other use, which is not mentioned explicitly, could affect the intactness of the product and/or
could constitute a source of danger.
-The manufacturer rejects any liability for damage which has been caused by incorrect or non-intended
use of the product.
-In countries, which do not belong to the European Community, the national legal reference regulations
as well as the standards and regulations applicable in these countries have to be observed for warranty
of a corresponding safety level.
-The installation has to be carried out according to the applicable regulations.
-The manufacturer assumes no liability for inexpert execution of installation as well as deformations
which may occur during operation.
-The electric power supply has to be switched off before executing any action on the installation.
-Exclusively original parts of the manufacturer shall be used for maintenance. Maintenance work may
be carried out by qualified staff only.
-All procedures which are not explicitly mentioned by the manufacturer in the instructions are not per-
mitted.
-The packing material must not be stored within the reach of children as it could be a potential source
of danger.

2 Introduction
To ensure proper installation, the following steps and notes must be complied with under all circumstances.
Only this way can it be ensured that the product will work to complete satisfaction.
Hint
Read all instructions before starting installation. Our sales department will be happy to answer any questions
you may have.
2.1 Disposal of the device
This product must not be thrown in the garbage.
In accordance with official local and national regulations, this product is to be recycled appropri-
ately.
European directive 2012/19/EU; waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
2.2 Technical data
This electrical distribution box (see type label) is manufactured to standards EN61439, IM22 and complies to
EU low voltage directive 2014/35/EC.
Nominal voltage, nominal power and max. permissible fuse are mentioned at the type label

Transport and Storage
Please only use grab handle or lifting eyes. No special storage.
Be aware that the packaging is not damaged.
Cleaning
If dirty, clean with cleaning tissue or brush. Do not use abra-
sives or solvents
The use of the distribution box may only by having a properly constructed and function checked (measured)
low-voltage system. If there are special operating conditions, please contact your dealer or the manufacturer.
The feeder must be according to the rule (ÖVE, VDE or national norms) resulting cross-section. In order to
avoid electrochemical corrosion of the power terminals and busbar, only copper wire or aluminum wire with
AlCu-terminals can be connected.
If the distribution has mechanical damage (broken cable or sockets, cracks, fissures, ....) and/or electrical
defects the distribution box may not longer be used.
Periodic inspections are according to the current national guidelines.
Repairs and inspections should only be done by the professionals
(in accordance to national regulations) by using original spareparts
to ensure the users safety and to ensure proper function.

2.3 Installation conditions
GIFAS-ELECTRIC GmbH accepts no liability in cases where the product has been used inappropriately or not
as intended. The selection and use of the product are the exclusive responsibility of the individual operator.
Product liability claims, warranties also as guarantees made by GIFAS-ELECTRIC GmbH with respect to the
product are voided, if it is not used, serviced or maintained in accordance with the instructions in this manual.
Hint
To ensure permanent tightness and function of the floor outlets following points should be noted:
-For the assembly of the floor socket, a fixed base must be present. A montage of floor socket in lots
soil (gravel, sand, ...) is not allowed.
-The cable glands must be suitable for the particular cable diameter.
-Before closing the floor socket remove all pollution.
-The floor sockets must be cleaned regularly from dirt. All seals should be checked for damage and
must be greased when needed.
-If the floor sockets are installed in floors with floor heating or in places with temperature fluctuations
(cold circulating air), condensation water may form. This can be remedied if the socket is regularly
ventilated or operated with an attachment ring fitted.
-All cable glands must comply with protection class IP68.
-Water must be prevented from entering the housing.

- Ensure that the floor socket is the same level with the top edge of the floor covering.
- The floor sockets must not be driven over with grinding machines when closed.
- It is generally recommended to create a silicone joint between the floor covering and the floor socket.

4 Installation examples FONTO levelable
1. position the floor socket and fix the levelling feet (option)
2. Level the upper edge of the floor socket to the ground surface
3. Lay pipes or cables
4. Put on the protection cap (part of the packaging)
5. Backfill the socket with load-bearing material (concrete, mortar)
6. Remove the protection cap before the floor covering is laid
7. Use the levelling screws to make a fine adjustment to the floor level
8. Caulk the joint between the floor socket and the floor covering

With the inner levelling screw, a difference of +/-6mm can be
compensated

Depending on the position of the lid, the floor socket
is IP20 or IP65

5 Connection / Handling floor sockets FONTO
Opening of floor outlet i.e. removal of the insert holder:
1. Open the cover of the junction box.
2. Unscrew the insert holder.
3. Pull out insert holder.
4. Connect the sockets.
The replacement and closing takes place in reverse order.
Hint
The metal socket must be properly connected to the earth conductor.

Opening of floor outlet i.e. removal of the insert holder:
1. Unscrew the cover with an allen Key (size 5) counterclockwise.
2. Extract the water protection tube.
3. To connect the sockets you have to remove the 4 pc. screws at the insert holder (allen Key size 3)
4. Pull out insert holder to connect the sockets.
The replacement and closing takes place in reverse order.
