3 Assembly and installation
3.1 Work tob e done on site by customer
The cover system is not sealed against surface water; this means that the customer must provide for the
drainage of theunderfloor distributorsystem. The customermust therefore ensurethat anappropriate drainage
line or drainage system is installed.
without drainage/
Drain pipe
with drainage bed
(e.g. loose subsurface)
With drain pipe
(e.g. solid subsurface)
Check drainage capacity!
Caution
-The excavation work as well as the professional and standards-compliant installation must be per-
formed by the customer. It is important to ensure that the load capacity of the foundation and/or the
cover layer corresponds to the load capacity of the underfloor distributor system in order to prevent
subsidence. Delivery of concrete pipe has to be done on site by the customer.
-If the Underfloor distributor system is to be used immediately after the excavation work, the installation
pit must absolutely be secured or locked so that it does not pose a safety risk!
-Make sure that underfloor distribution systems which can only be operated when they are in open
mode, do not provoke any security risk during the operation (risk of unwanted closure of lid, manipu-
lation, e.g.).
-The electrical connection may only be made by trained personnel and is the responsibility of the op-
erator.

and lift.
Lay thejunctionbox onthe ground besidethe frame and
insert the main supply cable as far as possible, so that
the loop in the pit is as short as possible. Then connect
the cable and screw up the cover (not requiredfor direct
connection).
Secure the connecting cable from the junction box on
the PIAZZETTA to prevent it from sliding back into the
pit. Lower the junction box into the pit as shown in the
picture and attach to the 2 brackets with M8x16

Alignthe PIAZZETTA in such a way that the step protec-
tion plate with 2 recesses rests flush on the spacer ring
with the junction box brackets.
The cable inlet from the electrical distributor box must
be located on the opposite side of the junction box. This
providesspace for the cable loop underthe PIAZZETTA
from the junction box to the electrical distributor box.
Carefully lower the PIAZZETTA after alignment.
Insert the main supply cable in the distribution box and
connect.
Caution:

Caution
Do not overfill the cover!
The surroundings must not sink!
The transport and vibration of the paving in the area of the underfloor distributor system can cause the screw
connections to loosen. It is therefore essential to check all screw connections before commissioning and
tighten them up if required.
The underfloor distributor system must be cleaned immediately after being grouted into its surroundings.
Cleaning is also required if the grout has to be renewed.
3.4 Connecting underfloor distributor to power supply
Hint
In the case of underfloor distributor systems with fresh water, the junction box must be attached to the side
facing away from the water tap point!
Caution
The electrical connection may only be made by trained personnel and is the responsibility of the operator.
Testing of the PIAZZETTA as per the following inspection plan.
Hint
It is recommended that junction boxes at critical locations are filled with BLUE GEL.
