Environmental Requirements and Salt Preparation
It is important to follow proper climate conditions:
•Humidity Levels must be less than 60%
•Temperature between 70°F and 77°F
In case of higher levels of humidity, the use of a dehumidifier is required in the room where
the generator is operated.
For correct functioning of the halogenerator, you must use dry, heated, pharmaceutical
grade salt only!
It very important to protect your HVAC from the salt particles that will be in the air during
and after a salt session. We highly recommend using the AirSafe2000 filter on your HVAC vents
for protection. Please visit their website at www.airsafe2000.com to order your filters, and
tell them that GHS sent you!
The use of a Crockpot™ or Slow Cooker is strongly recommended.
Crockpot™ or Wax pot Instructions
1. Turn the pot to the “Warm” or lowest setting. If the salt gets too hot it may melt the
plastic inside the generator.
2. Fill the pot 1/3 full of pharmaceutical grade salt.
3. When the pot is on, leave the lid off. This allows for moisture to
evaporate.
4. Do not leave any utensils inside the pot.
5. At the end of the day, you may turn off the pot.
6. When the pot is off, put the lid on to prevent the salt from
collecting any moisture.
How Much Salt to Use
Measure roughly one tablespoon of salt and put into the feeder. It takes about a 1/2 teaspoon
of salt per 20 minute session. Some salt will be left over at the end of the session, which can
be recycled back into the crockpot for later use. It is okay to fill the feeder with enough salt
for several session and return any remaining salt to the pot at the end of the day. *note, be
mindful of the humidity levels in the room where the generator is being operated. If high, use
enough salt for only a few sessions at a time and adjust humidity in the room.
*Safety Precaution: Please take care to protect eyes with glasses/eye pads (or simply
keep your eyes closed), when the arm is extended close to face.

locate the hole at the bottom where you will attach
the bottom stand.
3. Line up the hole in the halogenerator with the hole in
the bottom stand.
4. Affix the bottom stand to the halogenerator using the
stand attachment piece.
5. Attach the white plastic arm to the halogenerator and
attach the power cord if you wish to use the generator
in its tabletop position. Or go to the next step to build

using the black knob.
8. Attach the transformer and power plug to the
transformer holder using the Velcro straps. Attach the
clamps to the metal stand rods.
9. Plug in the power cord to the halogenerator near the
power switch.
10. You’re finished with assembly when your HaloFX
Mobile™ looks like this.
Using the HaloFX Mobile™ as a dedicated Salt Room
The HaloFX Mobile™ can be used in dedicated salt rooms up to 200 square feet. Simply cut a circular
hole in the wall 155-160cm (61-63 inches) from the ground that is 51mm (2 inches) wide. It does not
need to be mounted on the wall, as the machine will be supported by the stand. The air director is to be
removed when the HaloFX Mobile™ is used in this manner.
For salt room use, a higher level of HVAC protection is required. Please refer to HVAC specific
documents. If you do not have these, please contact us at service@halotherapysolutions.com.

Programming the HaloFX Mobile™
The HaloFX Mobile™ is programmed with the recommended settings for session and ventilation times,
as well as all other key settings. However, if you need to change or reset them, please follow the steps
detailed below.
Session and Ventilation Time
A 25-minute session (20-minute session time + 5-minute ventilation time) is what we recommend, but
you may set your sessions to any amount of time you choose. Always be sure to set your ventilation
time for 5 minutes.
1. Turn on the halogenerator by turning the white on/off switch to “ON.” This switch is located on
the side of the halogenerator near where you plugged in the power cord. Do not press start. The
display will show “STOP.”
2. Session Time: Press and hold F1. This will display “S” followed by a numerical value. While
holding F1, press +/- until the display shows your desired Session Time.
