Specication

WARNING: Always wear ear protection where the sound level exceeds 85dB(A)
and limit the time of exposure if necessary. If sound levels are uncomfortable, even
with ear protection, stop using the tool immediately and check the ear protection is
correctly tted and provides the correct level of sound attenuation for the level of
sound produced by your tool.
WARNING: User exposure to tool vibration can result in loss of sense of touch,
numbness, tingling and reduced ability to grip. Long term exposure can lead to a
chronic condition. If necessary, limit the length of time exposed to vibration and use
anti-vibration gloves. Do not operate the tool with hands below a normal comfortable

General Safety
WARNING Read all safety warnings and all instructions.
Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, re and/
or serious injury.
WARNING: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced, physical or mental capabilities or lack of experience or
knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children must be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power
tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres,
such as in the presence of ammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools
create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way.
Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools.
Unmodied plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes,
radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock
if your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power
tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or
unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or
moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for
outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric
shock.

Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when
operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under
the inuence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while
operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective
equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing
protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position
before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or
carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your nger on the switch or
energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A
wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in
personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables
better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair,
clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long
hair can be caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection
facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust
collection can reduce dust-related hazards.
Power tool use and care
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application.
The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was
designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power
tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the
power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or
storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting
the power tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons
unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power
tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s
operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many
accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with
sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these
instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be
performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended
could result in a hazardous situation.
WARNING: When used in Australia or New Zealand, it is recommended that this tool
is ALWAYS supplied via Residual Current Device (RCD) with a rated residual current
of 30mA or less.
Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualied repair person using only
identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is
maintained.
Masonry Saw Safety
WARNING: Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specications
provided with this power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in
electric shock, re and/or serious injury.
a. The guard provided with the tool must be securely attached to the power tool and
positioned for maximum safety, so the least amount of wheel is exposed towards
the operator. Position yourself and bystanders away from the plane of the rotating
wheel.
b. Use only compatible diamond cut-off wheels for your power tool. Just because an
accessory can be attached to your power tool, it does not assure safe operation.

c. The rated speed of the accessory must be at least equal to the maximum speed
marked on the power tool. Accessories running faster than their rated speed can
break and y apart.
d. Wheels must be used only for recommended applications. For example: do not
grind with the side of cut-off wheel. Abrasive cut-off wheels are intended for
peripheral grinding, side forces applied to these wheels may cause them to shatter.
e. ALWAYS use undamaged wheel anges that are of correct diameter for your
selected wheel. Proper wheel anges support the wheel thus reducing the
possibility of wheel breakage.
f. The outside diameter and the thickness of your accessory must be within the
capacity rating of your power tool. Incorrectly sized accessories cannot be
adequately guarded or controlled.
g. The arbour size of wheels and anges must properly t the spindle of the power
tool. Wheels and anges with arbour holes that do not match the mounting
hardware of the power tool will run out of balance, vibrate excessively and may
cause loss of control.
h. DO NOT use damaged wheels. Before each use, inspect the wheels for chips
and cracks. If power tool or wheel is dropped, inspect for damage or install an
undamaged wheel. After inspecting and installing the wheel, position yourself and
bystanders away from the plane of the rotating wheel and run the power tool at
maximum no load speed for one minute. Damaged wheels will normally break
apart during this test time.
i. Wear personal protective equipment. Depending on application, use face shield,
safety goggles or safety glasses. As appropriate, wear dust mask, hearing
protectors, gloves and workshop apron capable of stopping small abrasive or
workpiece fragments. The eye protection must be capable of stopping ying debris
generated by various operations. The dust mask or respirator must be capable
of ltrating particles generated by your operation. Prolonged exposure to high
intensity noise may cause hearing loss.
j. Keep bystanders a safe distance away from work area. Anyone entering the
work area must wear personal protective equipment. Fragments of workpiece or
of a broken accessory may y away and cause injury beyond immediate area of
operation.
k. Hold the power tool only by the insulated gripping surfaces when performing an
operation where the cutting tool may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Contact
with a “live” wire will also make exposed metal parts of the power tool ‘live’ and
shock the operator.
l. Position the cord clear of the spinning accessory. If you lose control of the power
tool, the cord may be cut or snagged and your hand or arm may be pulled into the
spinning accessory.
m. NEVER lay the power tool down until the accessory has come to a complete stop.
The spinning accessory may grab the surface and pull the power tool out of your
control.
n. DO NOT run the power tool while carrying it at your side. Accidental contact with
the spinning accessory could snag your clothing, pulling the accessory into your
body.
o. Regularly clean the power tool’s air vents. The motor’s fan will draw the dust inside
the housing and excessive accumulation of powdered metal may cause electrical
hazards.
p. DO NOT operate the power tool near ammable materials. Sparks could ignite
these materials.
q. This tool may require the use of water or other liquid coolants. It may therefore
ONLY be connected to power supplies that are protected by a RCD device. Test
the function of any RCD regularly. The use of devices utilising water or other liquid
coolants may result in electrocution or shock, if no RCD is present.
WARNING: Slots in structural walls are subject to the Standard DIN 1053 Part 1, and/
or other country-specic regulations. These regulations are to be observed under all
circumstances. Before beginning work, consult the responsible structural engineer,
architect or the construction supervisor.
Kickback Prevention and Operator Safety
Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched, bound or misaligned saw blade, causing
an uncontrolled saw to lift up and out of the workpiece toward the operator. Kickback is
the result of saw misuse and/or incorrect operating procedures or conditions and can
be avoided by taking precautions as follows:
a. Maintain a rm grip with both hands on the saw and position your arms to resist
kickback forces. Position your body to either side of the blade but not in line
with the blade. Kickback could cause the saw to jump backwards; however, if
precautions are taken, kickback forces can be controlled by the operator.
b. When the blade is binding, or when interrupting a cut for any reason, release the
trigger and hold the saw motionless in the workpiece until the blade comes to a
complete stop. Never attempt to remove the saw from the work or pull the saw
backward while the blade is in motion. Investigate and take corrective action to
eliminate the cause of blade binding.
c. When restarting a saw within an incomplete cut, centre the saw blade in the
kerf and check that the saw teeth are not engaged into the material (a binding
saw blade may ‘propel upwards’ or kickback from the workpiece as the tool is
restarted).
d. A large workpiece should be supported close to the line of the cut, and at the edge
of the panel, to prevent sagging. This will minimise the risk of blade pinching and
kickback.
e. Do not use dull or damaged blades. Unsharpened or improperly set blades
produce narrow kerf causing excessive friction, blade binding and kickback.
f. Blade depth and bevel adjusting locking levers must be tight and secure before
making a cut. If blade adjustment shifts while cutting, it may cause binding and
kickback.
g. Use extra caution when making a ‘plunge cut’ into existing walls or other blind
areas. The protruding blade may cut objects causing kickback.
h. Check the lower guard before each use and do not use if it does not close freely,
ensuring that the blade does not touch any part of the guard or tool in all angles
and depths of cut. Never clamp or tie the lower guard in the open position.
i. Check the operation of the lower guard spring. If the guard and the spring are
not operating correctly, they must be serviced before use. The lower guard may
operate sluggishly due to damaged parts, gummy deposits, or a build-up of debris.
j. The lower guard should be retracted manually only for special cuts such as ‘plunge
cuts’ and ‘compound cuts.’ Raise the lower guard by the retracting handle and as
soon as the blade enters the material, the lower guard must be released. For all
other sawing, the lower guard should operate automatically.
k. Ensure that the lower guard is covering the blade before placing the saw down.
An unprotected, coasting blade will cause the saw to ‘propel backwards’, cutting
whatever is in its path. Be aware of the time it takes for the blade to stop after the
switch is released. Do not use abrasive wheels: doing so will void the warranty.
l. If a circular saw features a riving knife it must be removed before plunge cutting.
A riving knife will interfere with a plunge cut causing kickback. The riving knife
must always be re-tted after plunge cutting. A circular saw with a permanent,
non-removable riving knife is NOT suitable for plunge cutting.

Intended Use
• Hand-held circular saw intended for horizontal cutting and slotting of mineral
materials, such as marble, using a suitable liquid coolant (water).
WARNING: DO NOT use this machine for cutting wood, plastic or metal, or reinforced
concrete.
Unpacking Your Tool
• Carefully unpack and inspect your new sander. Familiarise yourself with all its
features and functions
• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts are
missing or damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use this tool
Before Use
WARNING: Ensure the tool is disconnected from the power supply before attaching or
changing any accessories, or making any adjustments.
Adjusting the cutting angle
1. Loosen the Bevel Angle Adjuster Wing Nut (9)
2. Tilt the Base Plate (10) sideways, until the desired cutting angle is set on the
Cutting Angle Scale (11)
3. Tighten the Bevel Angle Adjuster Wing Nut
Note: For bevel cuts, the cutting depth is smaller than the setting indicated on the
Cutting Depth Scale (4).
Adjusting the cutting depth
WARNING: Ensure the machine is switched off and disconnected from the power
supply before adjusting the cutting depth.
Note: ALWAYS adapt the cutting depth to the thickness of the workpiece. For optimum
results, the Cutting Wheel (14) should protrude approximately 2mm out of the material.
1. Loosen the Cutting Depth Adjuster Wing Nut (5)
2. Adjust the desired cutting depth at the Cutting Depth Scale (4)
3. Tighten the Cutting Depth Adjuster Wing Nut
Cutting Marks
• The 0° cutting mark (7) indicates the position of the diamond cutting disc for right-
angled cuts
• The 45° cutting mark (8) indicates the position of the diamond cutting disc for 45°
cuts
Connecting the coolant hose
Note: This tool is designed to be used with a liquid coolant, i.e. water. Failure to do so
will cause the Cutting Wheel (14) to become blunt prematurely, and will produce an
inferior surface nish on the workpiece.
1. Connect the Coolant Hose (22) to the Coolant Connector (21)
2. Connect the Water Hose Connector (23) to a suitable hose pipe that connects to
your water mains
3. When you are ready to start cutting, open the Coolant Valve (20), then carefully
open the mains water tap, so the Coolant Hose lls with water
4. Use the Coolant Valve to adjust the amount of water needed to achieve good
coolant coverage of the Cutting Wheel (14) and cutting area
5. When work is nished, switch off the tool, then close the mains tap, leave the
Coolant Hose to run empty, then close the Coolant Valve and disconnect the hose
Operation
WARNING: ALWAYS wear eye protection, adequate respiratory and hearing
protection, as well as suitable gloves, when working with this tool.
WARNING: ALWAYS check the Cutting Wheel (14) before use. The Cutting Wheel
must be mounted properly and rotate freely. Carry out a test run for at least one minute
without any load. DO NOT use diamond cutting discs that are damaged, unbalanced,
or vibrate. Damaged Cutting Wheels can rupture and cause severe injuries.
WARNING: Exercise caution when cutting slots in load-bearing building structures;
refer to ‘Masonry Saw Safety’.
Switching on and off
• To start the machine, press in the Lock-Off Button (2) and press the On/Off Trigger
Switch (1)
• To switch off the machine, release the On/Off Trigger Switch
Note: As a safety feature the On/Off Trigger cannot be locked into the ‘on’ position.
Direction of cut
• This machine must ALWAYS work in an up-grinding motion, as it may otherwise be
pushed out of the cut uncontrollably, potentially leading to severe injury and damage

Notes:
• DO NOT strain the machine so heavily that it comes to a standstill
• For cutting-depths greater than 20mm in hard materials, e.g., concrete, cut in
several steps, so the motor is not overloaded
• Clamp the workpiece if it does not remain stationary due to its own weight
• The machine should only be used for wet cutting
• This tool is intended for horizontal operation only
• NEVER apply sideways pressure to the Cutting Wheel (14)
• For cutting especially hard material (e.g. concrete with high pebble content), the
Cutting Wheel can overheat and become damaged as a result. This is clearly
indicated by circular sparking, rotating with the Cutting Wheel. In this case, interrupt
the cutting process and allow the Cutting Wheel to cool, by running the machine for
a short time at maximum speed with no load
• Noticeable decreasing work progress and circular sparking are indications of a
Cutting Wheel that has become dull. Briey cutting into abrasive material (e. g. lime-
sand brick) can temporarily sharpen the wheel again

Maintenance
WARNING: ALWAYS disconnect from the power supply before carrying out any
inspection, maintenance or cleaning.
General inspection
• Regularly check that all the xing screws are tight
• Inspect the supply cord of the tool, prior to each use, for damage or wear. Repairs
should be carried out by an authorised GMC service centre. This advice also applies
to extension cords used with this tool
Cleaning
• Keep your tool clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal parts to wear
quickly, and shorten the machine’s service life. Clean the body of your machine
with a soft brush, or dry cloth. If available, use clean, dry, compressed air to blow
through the ventilation holes
• Clean the tool casing with a soft damp cloth using a mild detergent. Do not use
alcohol, petrol or strong cleaning agents
• Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts
Lubrication
• Slightly lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals with a suitable spray lubricant
Replacing the Cutting Wheel (see g. A)
WARNING: ALWAYS wear suitable cut-proof gloves when mounting and replacing
cutting wheels.
WARNING: The Cutting Wheel (14) becomes very hot during operation. DO NOT
touch it until it has cooled down.
WARNING: ONLY t a stone/marble cutting wheel of the same diameter and bore as
listed in the specication.
Removing Cutting Wheel:
1. Hold the Outer Flange (15) with the Ring Spanner (16)
2. Loosen the Wheel Bolt (17) with the Hex Key (18)
3. Remove the Outer Flange and Cutting Wheel (14) from the Drive Spindle (12)
Fitting Cutting Wheel:
1. Ensure the new Cutting Wheel (14), the Inner and Outer Flange (13 + 15) and the
Wheel Bolt (17) are clean
2. Fit the Inner Flange (13) on to the Drive Spindle (12)
3. Place the new Cutting Wheel (14) on to the Inner Flange
Note: The directional arrow on the Cutting Wheel (14) must match the direction of
rotation arrow on the Blade Guard (6).
4. Mount the Outer Flange (15) on to the Drive Spindle (12), and t the Wheel Bolt
(17)
5. Hold the Outer Flange with the Ring Spanner (16), and tighten the Wheel Bolt
using the Hex Key (18)
Brushes
• Over time the carbon brushes inside the motor may become worn
• Excessively worn brushes may cause loss of power, intermittent failure, or visible
sparking
• If you suspect that the brushes may be worn, have them replaced at an authorised

van GMC producten zonder voorafgaande kennisgeving worden gewijzigd.
WAARSCHUWING: Bij een geluidsintensiteit van 85 dB(A) of hoger is het dragen
van gehoorbescherming en het limiteren van de blootstellingstijd vereist. Bij
oncomfortabel hoge geluidsniveaus, zelfs met het dragen van gehoorbescherming,
stopt u het gebruik van de machine onmiddellijk. Controleer de pasvorm en het
geluiddempingsniveau van de bescherming.
WAARSCHUWING: Blootstelling aan trilling resulteert mogelijk in gevoelloosheid,
tinteling en een vermindert gripvermogen. Langdurige blootstelling kan leiden
tot chronische condities. Limiteer de blootstellingsduur en draag anti-vibratie
handschoenen. Vibratie heeft een grotere invloed op handen met een temperatuur
lager dan een normale, comfortabele temperatuur. Maak gebruik van de informatie in
de specicaties voor het bereken van de gebruiksduur en frequentie van de machine.
Geluid- en trillingsniveaus in de specicatie zijn vastgesteld volgens EN60745 of een
gelijksoortige internationale norm. De waarden gelden voor een normaal gebruik in

onjuist gebruikte machine produceert mogelijk hogere geluids- en trillingsniveaus.

Algemene veiligheid voor elektrisch
gereedschap
WAARSCHUWING: Lees alle bediening- en veiligheidsvoorschriften. Het niet
opvolgen van alle voorschriften die hieronder vermeld staan, kan resulteren in een
elektrische schok, brand en/of ernstig letsel.
WAARSCHUWING: De machine is niet geschikt voor gebruik door personen
met een verminderde mentale of fysieke gesteldheid of een gebrek aan
ervaring, tenzij de persoon wordt begeleid of geïnstrueerd door een persoon
verantwoordelijk voor de veiligheid
Bewaar deze voorschriften voor toekomstig gebruik.
De term “elektrisch gereedschap” in alle hieronder vermelde waarschuwingen heeft
betrekking op uw elektrische gereedschap dat op de stroom is aangesloten (met een
snoer) of met een accu wordt gevoed (snoerloos).
Veiligheid in de werkruimte
a) Houd de werkruimte schoon en zorg voor een goede verlichting.
Rommelige en donkere ruimtes leiden vaak tot ongelukken.
b) Werk niet met elektrisch gereedschap in explosieve omgevingen,
bijvoorbeeld in de aanwezigheid van ontvlambare vloeistoffen, gassen of
stof. Elektrisch gereedschap brengt vonken teweeg die stof of dampen kunnen
doen ontbranden.
c) Houd kinderen en omstanders uit de buurt wanneer u elektrisch
gereedschap bedient. Door aeiding kunt u de controle over het gereedschap
verliezen.
Elektrische veiligheid
a) De stekkers van het elektrische gereedschap moeten passen bij het
stopcontact. Pas de stekker niet aan. Gebruik geen adapterstekkers bij
geaard elektrisch gereedschap. Het gebruik van ongewijzigde stekkers en
passende stopcontacten vermindert het risico op een elektrische schok.
b) Vermijd lichamelijk contact met geaarde oppervlakken zoals pijpen,
radiatoren, fornuizen en koelkasten. Het risico op een elektrische schok neemt
toe als uw lichaam geaard wordt.
c) Laat elektrisch gereedschap niet nat worden. Wanneer elektrisch
gereedschap nat wordt, neemt het risico op een elektrische schok toe.
d) Beschadig het snoer niet. Gebruik het snoer nooit om het elektrisch
gereedschap te dragen, te trekken of om de stekker uit het stopcontact te
trekken. Houd het snoer uit de buurt van hitte, olie, scherpe randen of
bewegende delen. Een beschadigd of in de knoop geraakt snoeren verhoogt het
risico op een elektrische schok toe.
e) Wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap buiten gebruikt, maak dan gebruik van
een verlengsnoer dat geschikt is voor gebruik buitenshuis. Gebruik een
verlengsnoer dat geschikt is voor gebruik buitenshuis om het risico op een
elektrische schok te verminderen.
f) Indien het onvermijdelijk is elektrisch gereedschap te gebruiken in een
vochtige omgeving, gebruik dan een energiebron met een aardlek
beveiliging (Residual Currency Device). Het gebruik van een RCD vermindert
het risico op een elektrische schok.
Persoonlijke veiligheid
a) Blijf alert en gebruik uw gezonde verstand wanneer u elektrisch
gereedschap bedient. Gebruik het elektrisch gereedschap niet wanneer u
vermoeid bent of onder invloed van drugs, alcohol of medicijnen.
Onoplettendheid tijdens het bedienen van elektrisch gereedschap kan leiden tot
ernstig letsel.
b) Maak gebruik van persoonlijke bescherming. Draag altijd een
veiligheidsbril. Passende bescherming voor de omstandigheden, zoals een
stofmasker, niet-slippende veiligheidsschoenen een helm of gehoorbescherming,
vermindert het risico op persoonlijk letsel.
c) Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat niet per ongeluk wordt gestart. Controleer of
de schakelaar in de ‘uit’ stand staat voordat u de stekker in het stopcontact
steekt. Het dragen van elektrisch gereedschap met uw vinger op de schakelaar of
het aansluiten op de stroom van elektrisch gereedschap met de schakelaar
ingeschakeld kan tot ongelukken leiden.
d) Verwijder alle stel- of moersleutels voordat u het elektrische
gereedschap inschakelt. Een moer- of stelsleutel die zich op een draaiend
onderdeel van het elektrische gereedschap bevindt, kan leiden tot letsel.
e) Reik niet te ver. Blijf altijd stevig en in balans staan. Zo houdt u meer
controle over het elektrische gereedschap in onverwachte situaties.
f) Draag geschikte kleding. Draag geen loshangende kleding of sieraden.
Houd haren, kleding en handschoenen uit de buurt van bewegende delen.
Loshangende kleding, sieraden en los hangende haren kunnen vast komen te
zitten in bewegende delen.
g) Als er onderdelen voor stofafvoer- en stofverzameling worden
meegeleverd, sluit deze dan aan en gebruik deze op de juiste wijze. Het
gebruik van deze onderdelen kan het risico op stof gerelateerde ongelukken
verminderen.
Gebruik en verzorging van elektrisch gereedschap
a) Forceer elektrisch gereedschap niet. Gebruik elektrisch gereedschap
dat geschikt is voor het werk dat u wilt uitvoeren. Geschikt elektrisch
gereedschap werkt beter en veiliger op een passende snelheid.
b) Gebruik het elektrische gereedschap niet als de schakelaar het
apparaat niet in- en uitschakelt. Elektrisch gereedschap dat niet bediend
kan worden met de schakelaar is gevaarlijk en moet gerepareerd worden.
c) Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact voordat u instellingen aanpast,
toebehoren verwisselt of het elektrische gereedschap opbergt. Dergelijke
voorzorgsmaatregelen verminderen het risico op het per ongeluk starten van het
elektrische gereedschap.
d) Berg elektrisch gereedschap dat niet in gebruik is op buiten bereik van
kinderen en laat mensen die niet bekend zijn met het elektrische
gereedschap of met deze instructies het elektrische gereedschap niet
bedienen. Elektrisch gereedschap is gevaarlijk in de handen van onervaren
gebruikers.
e) Onderhoud uw elektrisch gereedschap. Controleer op foutieve uitlijning of
het vastslaan van bewegende delen, gebroken onderdelen en elke andere
afwijking die de werking van het elektrische gereedschap zou kunnen
beïnvloeden. Indien het elektrische gereedschap beschadigd is, moet u het
laten repareren voordat u het weer gebruikt. Veel ongelukken worden
veroorzaakt door slecht onderhouden elektrisch gereedschap.
f) Houd snijwerktuigen scherp en schoon. Goed onderhouden
snijwerktuigen met scherpe messen slaan minder snel vast en zijn
gemakkelijker te bedienen.

g) Gebruik het elektrische gereedschap, toebehoren en onderdelen, etc.
volgens deze instructies en volgens bestemming voor het specieke type
elektrisch gereedschap, en houd daarbij rekening met de
werkomstandigheden en het uit te voeren werk. Gebruik van elektrisch
gereedschap voor werkzaamheden die verschillen van die waarvoor het apparaat
bestemd is, kan leiden tot gevaarlijke situaties.
Onderhoud
a) Laat uw elektrische gereedschap onderhouden door een gekwaliceerde
vakman en gebruik alleen identieke vervangstukken. Zo bent u er zeker van
dat de veiligheid van het elektrische gereedschap gewaarborgd blijft.
Betonzaag veiligheid
WAARSCHUWING: Lees alle bediening- en veiligheidsvoorschriften. Het niet
opvolgen van alle voorschriften die hieronder vermeld staan, kan resulteren in een
elektrische schok, brand en/of ernstig letsel.
a. De inbegrepen beschermkap dient juist op de machine bevestigd en
gepositioneerd te worden zodat zo min mogelijk van het zaagblad zichtbaar
is, voor een maximale gebruikersveiligheid. Positioneer uzelf en omstanders
uit de baan van het roterende zaagblad
b. Maak enkel gebruik van compatibele diamant zaagbladen. Wanneer een accessoire
op de machine te bevestigen is, is een veilig gebruik nog niet gegarandeerd
c. De maximale snelheid van het accessoire dient minimaal gelijk te zijn aan de
maximale snelheid weergegeven op de machine. Accessoires die sneller
draaien dan de maximale snelheid breken mogelijk
d. Zaagbladen dienen enkel voor bestemde doeleinden gebruikt te worden.
Slijp bijvoorbeeld niet met de zijkant van een zaag-/snijblad. Het uitoefenen
van een grote druk op schurende snijwielen zorgt ervoor dat deze breken
e. Gebruik enkel niet-beschadigde sluitingen, met een passende diameter
voor het gebruiken blad. De juiste sluitringen ondersteunen het blad wat de
kans op beschadiging verkleint
f. De buiten diameter en dikte van uw accessoire dient binnen de capaciteit
van de machine te vallen. Accessoires met onjuiste afmetingen zijn niet juist te
beveiligen en te controleren tijdens gebruik
g. De asgat maat van bladen en ensen dienen juist op de as van de machine
te passen. Wielen en ensen met niet-overeenstemmende asgaten liggen uit
balans, zorgen voor overmatige trillingen en leiden mogelijk tot controle verlies
h. Gebruik geen beschadigde bladen. Controleer het blad voor elk gebruik op
scheuren en breuken. Wanneer u de machine hebt laten vallen controleert u
op beschadiging. Na het inspecteren/installeren van een zaagblad zorgt u
ervoor dat u en omstanders uit de baan van het blad staan en laat u de
machine voor een minuut onbelast lopen. Beschadigde wielen breken normaal
gesproken tijdens deze testprocedure
i. Tijdens het gebruik van de machine is het dragen van de geschikte
beschermende uitrusting, veiligheidsbril, stofmasker, handschoenen, etc.,
aanbevolen. De veiligheidsbril dient te beschermen tegen rondvliegende deeltjes.
Het stofmasker dient de lucht te lteren en de stofdeeltjes te stoppen. Langdurige
blootstelling aan hoge geluidsniveaus kan leiden tot permanent gehoorverlies
j. Houdt omstanders op een veilige afstand. Mensen die de werkruimte
betreden dienen dezelfde beschermende uitrusting als de gebruiker te
dragen. Rondvliegende deeltjes veroorzaakt mogelijk letsel aan omstanders
k. Houd de machine tijdens het gebruik bij de geïsoleerde handvaten vast. Wanneer
het zaagblad in contact komt met een stroomdraad komen metalen onderdelen mogelijk
onder stroom te staan wat kan resulteren in elektrische schok
l. Houdt het stroomsnoer uit de buurt van het roterende accessoire. Wanneer u de
controle over de machine verliest wordt het snoer mogelijk door het accessoire
gegrepen waardoor uw arm mogelijk in het accessoire getrokken wordt
m. Leg de machine niet neer voordat het accessoire volledig tot stilstand
gekomen is. Het roterende accessoire grijpt mogelijk in het oppervlak waardoor
de machine uit controle raakt
n. Schakel de machine niet in tijdens het verplaatsen naast uw lichaam.
Accidenteel contact met het accessoire kan uw kleding grijpen waardoor het
accessoire mogelijk in uw lichaam getrokken word
o. Maak de ventilatiegaten regelmatig schoon. De motor ventilatie trekt het stof
in de behuizing en een overmatige accumulatie van metaalstof zorgt voor
elektrische gevaren
p. Gebruik de machine niet in de buurt van ontvlambare gassen. Vonken doen
de gassen mogelijk ontbranden
q. De machine vereist mogelijk het gebruik van water of andere koelmiddelen.
De machine dient daarom enkel aangesloten te worden op een stroombron
met een aardlekschakelaar. Test de werking van een aardlekschakelaar
regelmatig. Het gebruik van de machine zonder een aardlekschakelaar resulteert
mogelijk in elektrische schok of elektrocutie
WAARSCHUWING: Het zagen in structuur muren zijn onderworpen aan richtlijn
DIN 1053 en/of andere land-specieke regulaties. Deze regulaties dienen te allen
tijde opgevolgd te worden. Voordat u het werk start neemt u contact op met de
verantwoordelijke ingenieur, architect of bouwopzichter
Terugslag
Terugslag is een plotselinge reactie op een vastlopend, geforceerd of een foute
uitlijning van het zaagblad, waardoor de zaag uit het materiaal omhoog, naar de
gebruiker wordt geschoten. Terugslag is het gevolg van misbruik en/of onjuiste
gebruiksprocedures of –omstandigheden, en kan voorkomen worden door het volgen
van de volgende voorzorgsmaatregelen:
a. Houd de zaag met beide handen stevig vast en positioneer uw armen zo,
dat terugslag tegengewerkt kan worden. Positioneer uw lichaam links een
zijkant van de zaag en niet in lijn met het zaagblad. Door het nemen van de juiste
voorzorgsmaatregelen kunnen terugslagkrachten door de gebruiker onder
controle gehouden worden
b. Wanneer het blad stroef in het materiaal draait of wanneer u tijdens het zagen
onderbroken wordt laat u de trekker schakelaar los en houd u de zaag stil in het
materiaal tot het blad volledig stil staat. Probeer de zaag nooit uit het materiaal te
halen of naar achteren te trekken wanneer het zaagblad roteert.
c. Wanneer de zaag in een onafgemaakte snede herstart wordt, zorgt u ervoor
dat de zaag recht in de snede ligt en dat de tanden niet in het materiaal grijpen
(een vastzittend blad kan bij het her starten van de machine omhoog geschoten
worden).
d. Een groot werkstuk hoort dicht bij de snede en dicht bij de rand ondersteund te
worden om inzakking te voorkomen en de kans op terugslag te minimaliseren.
e. Gebruik geen beschadigde of botte bladen. Deze bladen produceren een
smalle nerf wat resulteert in overmatige wrijving, het buigen van zaagbladen en
terugslag.
f. Voor het maken van sneden horen alle verstel vergrendelingshendels goed vast
gezet te worden. Het bewegen van bladverstellingen kan leiden tot het buigen van
bladen en terugslag.
g. Ben uitermate voorzichtig bij het zagen in muren en andere verborgen gebieden.
Het zaagblad raakt mogelijk verborgen voorwerpen wat kan leiden tot terugslag.

h. Controleer voor elk gebruik de beschermkap en gebruik de zaag niet wanneer de
beschermkap niet vrij sluit. Zorg ervoor dat het zaagblad in elke hoek en diepte,
niet in contact komt met de beschermkap. Vergrendel de beschermkap niet in de
open positie.
i. Controleer de werking van de beschermkapveer. Wanneer de kap en de veer niet
juist functioneren, laat u deze voor gebruik repareren. De beschermkap werkt
mogelijk langzaam door beschadigde onderdelen of ophopend zaagsel.
j. De beschermkap hoort alleen voor speciale sneden handmatig ingetrokken te
worden. Verhoog de beschermkap met behulp van het handvat en laat de kap los
wanneer het blad door het materiaal zaagt.
k. Zorg ervoor dat de beschermkap over het zaagblad valt voordat u de zaag
neerlegt. Ben bewust van de benodigde tijd voor het zaagblad om tot volledige
stilstand te komen. Gebruik geen schuurschijven. Dit ontkracht de garantie.
l. Wanneer de cirkelzaag voorzien is van een spouwmes, verwijdert u deze voor het
maken van een invalsnede. Het spouwmes veroorzaakt mogelijk terugslag. Na het
maken van de invalsnede bevestigd u het mes terug op de machine

Gebruiksdoel
• Hand cirkelzaag voor het horizontaal zagen van mineraal materialen als marmer,
met het gebruik van een geschikte koelvloeistof (water)
WAARSCHUWING: Gebruik de machine niet voor het zagen van hout, plastic, metaal
of versterkt beton
Het uitpakken van uw gereedschap
• Pak uw toestel / gereedschap uit. Inspecteer het en zorg dat u met alle kenmerken
en functies vertrouwd raakt.
• Controleer of alle onderdelen aanwezig zijn en in goede staat verkeren. Als er
onderdelen ontbreken of beschadigd zijn, zorg dan dat deze vervangen worden
voor u dit toestel / gereedschap gebruikt.
Voor gebruik
WAARSCHUWING: Ontkoppel de machine van de stroombron voordat u accessoires
verwisselt of enige aanpassingen aan de machine maakt
Het aanpassen van de zaaghoek
1. Draai de verstekhoek verstel vleugelmoer (9) los
2. Kantel de basisplaat (10) zijwaarts, tot de gewenste hoek verkregen wordt op de
schaal (11)
3. Draai de vergrendelmoer weer vast
Let op: Bij het maken van versteksneden is de zaagdiepte kleiner dan de aangegeven
diepte op de schaal (4)
Het aanpassen van de zaagdiepte
WAARSCHUWING: Zorg ervoor dat de machine is uitgeschakeld en ontkoppeld is
van de stroombron voordat u de zaagdiepte aanpast
Let op: Pas de zaagdiepte aan, passend bij de werkstukdikte. Voor optimale
resultaten komt het zaagblad (14) ongeveer 2 mm onder het werkstuk uit
1. Draai de zaagdiepte verstel vleugelmoer (5) los
2. Verstel de zaagdiepte met behulp van de schaal (4)
3. Draai de vergrendelmoer weer vast
Zaagmarkeringen
• De 0° markering (7) duidt op de positie van het zaagblad in een rechte hoek
• De 45° markering (8) duidt op de positie van het zaagblad in een 45° hoek
Het bevestigen van de koelvloeistofslang
Let op: De machine is ontworpen voor het gebruik met een koelvloeistof. Wanneer
u geen gebruik maakt van een koelvloeistof zal het zaagblad (14) voortijdig slijten en
produceert het een minderwaardige afwerking op het werkstuk
1. Sluit de slang (22) op het koppelstuk (21) aan
2. Sluit het waterslang koppelstuk (23) op een geschikte slang aan die verbonden is
met uw waterleiding
3. Wanneer u klaar bent om het zagen te starten, opent u het koelvloeistof ventiel
(22) en open de waterkraan voorzichtig zodat de slang gevuld wordt met water
4. Gebruik het ventiel om de waterstroom aan te passen voor het verkrijgen van een
goede bedekking van het zaagblad (14) en zaaggebied
5. Wanneer het werk voltooid is schakelt u de machine uit, zet u de waterkraan uit,
laat u de koelvloeistofslang leeglopen, sluit u het ventiel en ontkoppeld u de slang

Gebruik
WAARSCHUWING: De geschikte beschermende uitrusting, waaronder gezichts-,
ademhalings- en gehoorbescherming, dient te allen tijde gedragen te worden
WAARSCHUWING: Controleer het zaagblad (14) voor elk gebruik. Het blad dient juist
bevestigd te zijn en vrij te roteren. Laat de machine voor een minuut onbelast lopen.
Gebruik geen diamant zaagbladen die beschadigd zijn, uit balans zijn of overmatig
trillen. Beschadigde bladen kunnen verbrijzelen en zorgen voor serieus letsel
WAARSCHUWING: Ben uiterst voorzichtig bij het zagen van gleuven in
gebouwstructuren; verwijs naar betonzaag veiligheid
Het in- en uitschakelen van de machine
• Om de machine te starten drukt u de uit-stand vergrendelknop (2) in voordat u de
trekker schakelaar (1) inknijpt
• Om de machine uit te schakelen laat u de trekker schakelaar los.
Let op: De trekker schakelaar kan niet in de aan-stand vergrendelt worden
Zaagrichting
• De machine dient enkel van achter naar voren geleid te worden. In achterwaartse
beweging raakt u mogelijk de controle over de machine kwijt wat kan leiden tot
ernstige ongelukken
Opmerkingen:
• Oefen niet te veel druk op de machine uit zodat het zaagblad stil komt te staan
• Voor het zagen van dieptes groter dan 20 mm in harde materialen als beton, zaagt
u in meerder doorgangen zodat de motor niet te zwaar belast wordt
• Klem het werkstuk wanneer nodig op de werkbank vast
• De machine dient enkel gebruikt te worden voor nat zagen
• De machine enkel geschikt voor horizontaal gebruik
• Oefen nooit zijwaartse druk op het zaagblad (14) uit
• Voor het zagen van extreem harde materialen kan het zaagblad oververhit raken
wat resulteert in zaagblad beschadiging. Dit is duidelijk merkbaar dankzij circulair
vonken, roterend met het zaagblad. In dit geval stopt u het werk onmiddellijk en
laat u het zaagblad afkoelen door de machine voor korte tijd onbelast, op maximale
snelheid te laten lopen
• Merkbare verminderende werkvoortgang en vonken duiden op een bot zaagblad.
Het kort zagen in een schurend materiaal kan het zaagblad tijdelijk scherpslijpen
Accessoires
• Verschillende accessoires en verbruiksmiddelen, waaronder het 950392 GMC

Onderhoud
WAARSCHUWING: Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact voordat u de machine
schoonmaakt of enig onderhoud uitvoert.
Algemene inspectie
• Controleer regelmatig of alle bevestigingsmiddelen nog goed vast zitten. Door
vibratie kunnen ze na enige tijd los gaan zitten
• Inspecteer het stroomsnoer voor elk gebruik op slijtage en beschadiging. Reparaties
dienen uitgevoerd worden bij een geautoriseerd GMC service center. Dit geld
tevens voor verlengsnoeren, gebruikt met de machine
Schoonmaak
• Houd uw machine te allen tijde schoon. Vuil en stof doen de interne onderdelen snel
slijten, wat de levensduur aanzienlijk vermindert. Maak de machine met een zachte
borstel of droge doek schoon. Gebruik wanneer mogelijk zuivere, droge perslucht
om door de luchtgaten te blazen
• Maak de behuizing met een vochtige doek en een licht schoonmaakmiddel schoon.
Gebruik geen alcohol, benzine of hardnekkig schoonmaakmiddel
• Gebruik geen bijtende stoffen voor het schoonmaken van plastic onderdelen
Smeren
• Smeer alle bewegende onderdelen regelmatig met een geschikt smeermiddel
Het vervangen van het zaagblad (zie Fig. A)
WAARSCHUWING: Bij het vervangen van zaagbladen is het dragen van geschikte
beschermende handschoenen aanbevolen
WAARSCHUWING: Het zaagblad wordt tijdens gebruik mogelijk erg heet. Raak het
blad niet aan voordat het volledig is afgekoeld
WAARSCHUWING: Bevestig enkel een zaagblad met dezelfde diameter en asgat als
beschreven in de specicaties
Het verwijderen van het zaagblad:
1. Houdt de buiten ens (15) met de ringsleutel (16) vast
2. Draai de bladbout (17) met gebruik van de inbussleutel (18)
3. Verwijder de buiten ens en het zaagblad (14) van de aandrijfas (12)
Het bevestigen van een nieuw zaagblad
1. Zorg ervoor dat het nieuwe zaagblad, de ensen en de bladbout schoon zijn
2. Plaats de binnen ens op de aandrijfas
3. Plaats het nieuwe zaagblad o de aandrijfas
Let op: De rotatierichting op het zaagblad dient overeen te komen met de
aangegeven rotatierichting op de zaagblad beschermkap (6)
4. Plaats de buiten ens op de aandrijfas en plaats de bladbout terug op de machine
5. Houdt de buiten ens met de ringsleutel vast en draai de bladbout met gebruik van
de inbussleutel (18) vast
Koolstofborstels
• Na verloop van tijd zullen de koolborstels in de motor verslijten.
• Bij overmatige slijtage van de borstels verliest de motor mogelijk vermogen, start
het niet meer, en/ of produceert het overmatig vonken.
• Wanneer u vermoedt dat de borstels versleten zijn, laat u deze bij een erkend
servicecenter vervangen
Let op: De machine is voorzien van een paar reserve koolstofborstels
Opberging
• Berg de machine op een droge en veilige plek, buiten het bereik van kinderen op
Let op: Zorg ervoor dat de machine volledig droog is en dan de vloeistof slangen
volledig leeg zijn voordat u deze opbergt

Verwijdering
Bij de verwijdering van elektrische machines neemt u de nationale voorschriften in
acht.
