WARNING: Always wear ear protection where the sound level exceeds 85dB(A)
and limit the time of exposure if necessary. If sound levels are uncomfortable,
even with ear protection, stop using the tool immediately and check the ear
protection is correctly fitted and provides the correct level of sound attenuation
for the level of sound produced by your tool.
WARNING: User exposure to t¬¬ool vibration can result in loss of sense of
touch, numbness, tingling and reduced ability to grip. Long term exposure can
lead to a chronic condition. If necessary, limit the length of time exposed to
vibration and use anti-vibration gloves. Do not operate the tool with hands below
a normal comfortable temperature, as vibration will have a greater effect.
Bench mounted and other non-handheld power tools limit user exposure to
vibration but it is still important to be aware of vibration levels and stop operating
the tool if the vibration level causes discomfort. Take regular breaks when
operating the tool.
Sound and vibration levels in the specification are determined according to
EN 61029 or similar international standards. The figures represent normal
use for the tool in normal working conditions. A poorly maintained, incorrectly
assembled, or misused tool, may produce increased levels of noise and
vibration.

General Safety Instructions
WARNING! When using electric power tools, basic safety precautions should
always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal
injury including the following safety information. Read all these instructions
before attempting to operate this product and save these instructions for
future use.
WARNING: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced, physical or mental capabilities or lack of experience
or knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
CAUTION: Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance
with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the
work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from
those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded)
power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
1. Keep work area clear - Cluttered areas and benches invite injuries.
2. Consider work area environment
• Do not expose tools to rain.
• Do not use tools in damp or wet locations.
• Keep work area well lit.
• Do not use tools in the presence of flammable liquids or gases.
3. Guard against electric shock - Avoid body contact with earthed or
grounded surfaces (e.g. pipes, radiators, ranges, refrigerators).
4. Keep other persons away - Do not let persons, especially children,
not involved in the work touch the tool or the extension cord and keep them
away from the work area.
5. Store idle tools - When not in use, tools should be stored in a dry locked-
up place, out of reach of children.
6. Do not force the tool - It will perform the job better and safer at the rate
for which it was intended.
7. Use the right tool - Do not force small tools to do the job of a heavy duty
tool. Do not use tools for purposes not intended; for example do not use
circular saws to cut tree limbs or logs.
8. Dress appropriately
• Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry, which can be
caught in moving parts.
• Suitable safety footwear is recommended when working outdoors.
• Wear protective covering to contain long hair.
9. Use protective equipment
• Use safety glasses.
• Use face or dust mask if working operations create dust
WARNING: Not using protective equipment or appropriate clothing can cause
personal injury or increase the severity of an injury.
10.Connect dust extraction equipment - If the tool is provided for the
connection of dust extraction and collecting equipment, ensure these are
connected and properly used.
11. Do not abuse the power cable - Never yank the power cable to
disconnect it from the socket. Keep the power cable away from heat,
oil and sharp edges. Damaged or entangled power cables increase the
risk of electric shock.
12.Secure work - Where possible use clamps or a vice to hold the work. It is
safer than using your hand.
13.Do not overreach - Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
14.Maintain tools with care
• Keep cutting tools sharp and clean makes the tool easier to control and
less likely to bind or lock in the workpiece.
• Follow instruction for lubricating and changing accessories.
• Inspect tool power cables periodically and if damaged have them
repaired by an authorised service facility.
• Inspect extension cables periodically and replace if damaged.
• Keep handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease.
WARNING: Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
15.Disconnect tools - When not in use, before servicing and when changing
accessories such as blades, bits and cutters, disconnect tools from the
power supply.
WARNING: The use of accessories or attachments not recommended by the
manufacturer may result in a risk of injury to persons.
16.Remove adjusting keys and wrenches - Form the habit of checking to
see that keys and adjusting wrenches are removed from the tool before
switching it on.
17. Avoid unintentional starting - Ensure switch is in "off' position when
connecting to a mains socket or inserting a battery pack, or when picking
up or carrying the tool.
WARNING: Unintended starting of a tool can cause major injuries.
18.Use outdoor extension leads - When the tool is used outdoors, use
only extension cords intended for outdoor use and so marked. Use of an
extension cable suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
19.Stay alert
• Watch what you are doing, use common sense and do not operate the
tool when you are tired.
• Do not use a power tool while you are under the influence of drugs,
alcohol or medication.
WARNING: A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in
serious personal injury.
20.Check damaged parts
• Before further use of tool, it should be carefully checked to determine
that it will operate properly and perform its intended function.
• Check for alignment of moving parts, binding of moving parts, breakage
of parts, mounting and any other conditions that may affect its
operation.
• A guard or other part that is damaged should be properly repaired or
replaced by an authorised service centre unless otherwise indicated in
this instruction manual.
• Have defective switches replaced by an authorised service centre.

WARNING: Do not use the tool if the on/off switch does not turn it on and off.
The switch must be repaired before the tool is used.
21.Have your tool repaired by a qualified person - This electric tool
complies with the relevant safety rules. Repairs should only be carried out
by qualified persons, otherwise this may result in considerable danger to
the user.
WARNING: When servicing use only identical replacement parts.
WARNING: If the power cable is damaged it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or an authorised service centre.
22.Power tool mains plugs must match the mains socket - Never modify
the plug in any way. Do not use adapter plugs with earthed (grounded)
power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching sockets will reduce risk of
electric shock.
23.If operating a power tool outside or in a damp location, use a
residual current device (RCD) - Use of an RCD reduces the risk of
electric shock.
NOTE: The term “residual current device (RCD)” may be replaced by the
term “ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI)” or “earth leakage circuit breaker
(ELCB)”.
WARNING: When used in Australia or New Zealand, it is recommended that
this tool is ALWAYS supplied via Residual Current Device (RCD) with a rated
residual current of 30mA or less.
Polarized Plugs (for North America only) To reduce the risk of electric shock,
this equipment has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This
plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to
install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
WARNING: USE PROPER EXTENSION CORD.
Make sure your extension cord is in good condition. When using an extension
cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to carry the current your product will
draw. An undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage resulting in loss of
power and overheating.
An 18AWG cord is suitable for the total length up to 25’, 16AWG for 50’, 14AWG
for 100’. If in doubt, use the next heavier gauge (the smaller the gauge number,
the heavier the cord).
Circular Saw Safety
WARNING: Before connecting a tool to a power source (mains switch power
point receptacle, outlet, etc.) be sure that the voltage supply is the same as that
specied on the nameplate of the tool. A power source with a voltage greater
than that specied for the tool can result in serious injury to the user, and
damage to the tool. If in doubt, do not plug in the tool. Using a power source
with a voltage less than the nameplate rating is harmful to the motor.
WARNING: Guards supplied with saws should always be tted and used where
possible. Always re-t guards that are meant to be permanently attached in use
after maintenance or replacing blades. Inspect guards before use to make sure
they are not damaged and are secure.
• Do not allow anyone under the age of 18 years to operate this saw
• When operating the saw, use safety equipment including safety goggles or
shield, ear protection, dust mask and protective clothing including
safety gloves
• Hand-held power tools may produce vibration. Vibration can cause
disease. Gloves may help to maintain good blood circulation in the fingers.
Hand-held tools should not be used for long periods without a break
• Always use recommended blades with correct size and shape of arbor
holes e.g. diamond or round. Blades that do not match the mounting
hardware of the saw will run eccentrically, causing loss of control
• Whenever possible, use a vacuum dust extraction system to control
dust/waste
• Power tools must always be held by the insulated gripping surfaces when
performing an operation, ensuring protection if the cutting tool makes
contact with its own cord or hidden wiring. Contact with a ‘live’ wire will
make exposed metal parts of the power tool ‘live’ and shock the operator if
the insulated gripping surfaces are not used
• Ensure hands are kept away from the cutting area and blade. Keep one
hand on the auxiliary handle or motor housing. If both hands are holding
the tool they cannot be cut by the blade
• Do not attempt to cut material thicker than detailed in the Specifications
section of this manual
• Adjust the cutting depth to the thickness of the workpiece i.e. less than a
full tooth of the blade should be visible below the workpiece
• Ensure that work is correctly supported. Large panels may sag under their
own weight and bind the saw blade. Supports must be placed under the
panel on both sides, close to the line of cut and near the edge of the panel
• Ensure all supports and power cables are completely clear of the
cutting path
• Always secure the workpiece to a stable platform, ensuring body exposure
is minimised, avoiding blade binding, or loss of control
• For accuracy of cut, and to avoid blade binding, always use a rip fence or
straight edge guide
• Never hold a workpiece in your hand or across your legs whilst cutting
• Always stand at an angle to the tool when operating
• Be aware that the blade will project from the underside of the workpiece
• Do not reach beneath the workpiece where the guard cannot protect you
from the blade
• Note the direction of rotation of the motor and the blade
• Inspect the workpiece and remove all nails and other embedded objects
prior to starting work

• Do not apply any sideways or twisting force to the blade whilst cutting
• If a cut does not extend to the edge of the workpiece, or if the blade binds
in the cut, allow the blade to come to a complete stop and lift the saw out
of the workpiece
• Do not attempt to free a jammed blade before first disconnecting the
machine from power
• Do not move the saw backwards at any time whilst cutting
• Beware of projected waste. In some situations, waste material may be
projected at speed from the cutting tool. It is the user’s responsibility to
ensure that other people in the work area are protected from the possibility
of projected waste
• If you are interrupted when operating the saw, complete the process and
switch off before diverting your attention
• The blade bolt and washers were specially designed for your saw. For
optimum performance and safety of operation never use damaged or
incorrect bolt/blade washers
• Regularly check the operation of the blade guard. If the guard does not
automatically cover the blade, have the saw repaired before use
• Periodically check that all nuts, bolts and other fixings have not loosened,
tighten where necessary
• Always use the push stick supplied for ripping narrow items
• Never perform any operation ’free hand’. Always use either the mitre gauge
or the rip fence to position and guide the work
• Only feed the workpiece into the saw blade according to the instructions.
Attempting to make a cut for which the tool or blade is not designed can
lead to accidents
• Never leave the saw operating unattended and always wait for the tool to
come to a complete stop before leaving
• For bench-mounted or free-standing tools permanently setup for use,
ensure the workshop, garage or room is locked after use to prevent access
to children
• Never abuse the tool by physically exerting pressure on the tool body
or base that isn’t part of normal use, for example standing on the tool or
pushing against it during operation
• Do not use saw blades which are damaged or deformed
• Never use high speed steel (HSS) blades
• The maximum speed of the blade must always exceed the no load speed
of the saw
Additional Safety for Table Saws
Never operate the saw with a worn table insert (also called ‘throat plate’).
Replace immediately when it shows signs of damage or excessive wear.
The push stick should always be stored with the table saw after use. It must
always be used to prevent the operator’s hands getting close to the teeth of the
blade while operating.
The main body of the saw blade used must not be thicker than the riving knife
(also known as riving blade or spreader). This helps the workpiece stay in
position when cut.
Polarised Plugs (for North America only. To reduce the risk of electric shock,
this equipment has a polarised plug (one blade is wider than the other). This
plug will t in a polarised outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied electrician to
install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
The tool must be used only for its prescribed purpose. Any use other than those
mentioned in this manual will be considered a case of misuse. The user, and not
the manufacturer, shall be liable for any damage or injury resulting from such
cases of misuse.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for any modications made to the tool nor
for any damage resulting from such modications.
Even when the tool is used as prescribed it is not possible to eliminate all
residual risk factors.

Preparation
WARNING: Do not connect power until the tool is assembled and
congured correctly.
Unpacking Your Tool
Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Familiarise yourself with all its features
and functions.
Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts
are missing or damaged, have such parts
replaced before attempting to use this tool.
1. Attach the Feet (18) to the four corners of
the saw using the Feet Fixings (17)
supplied [Fig A]
2. Attach the Handle (15) to the Handle
Mounting Position (2) [Fig B]
3. Slide the Dust Bag (13) onto the Dust
Extraction Port (10) [Fig C]
Notes:
• A vacuum can be connected to the dust extraction port instead of the dust
bag (this will provide superior extraction)
• Never operate the saw without either the dust bag or a vacuum connected
• Empty the dust bag every 10-15 minutes during use and at the end of every
session. The dust produced could be of a ammable nature and may contain
polyurethanes or linseed oil. Allowing the dust bag to get full will force the
dust back into the saw mechanism and it could ignite. Always follow the
manufacturer’s recommendations for the materials being cut
The saw blade is pre-tted but as part of the assembly process it is
recommended the user checks that the blade is securely tightened. Refer to
the ‘Replacing the saw blade’ section on how to access and tighten the blade
securing bolt.
Check the Throat Plate (6) is in good condition.
WARNING: The saw must not be operated if either side of the throat plate is
damaged or missing.
Installing The Saw
Position the saw on a solid, at work surface. An anti-vibration rubber mat
can be placed between the saw and the work surface to reduce vibration and
prevent movement during use on some surfaces.
The saw can also be attached to a worktop or other surface by using extended
length bolts or screws than those supplied. In this instance the bolts would
pass through the worktop and the supplied feet before being screwed into
the aluminium frame of the saw. Alternatively the saw can be mounted on a
longer board that allows the saw to be clamped to a worktop with the clamps
at a position that will not interfere with the saw’s operation. Securing the saw
to a worktop or other stable, strong surface will ensure maximum safety during
operation.
WARNING: Using this tool with a portable workbench can be dangerous.
Make sure there is no risk of the workbench collapsing or toppling during use.
Operating Instructions
Switching the unit on and off
• To switch the laminate saw ON, press the
green button marked ‘ I’ on the On/Off
Switch (1). To switch the laminate saw OFF,
press the red button marked ‘O’ [Fig D]
IMPORTANT: Every time, before plugging
the laminate saw into mains power, press the
OFF button to check the saw will not switch on
immediately when plugged in
Making a rip cut
In this mode the saw cuts in a xed position and the workpiece is moved in the
same way as a table saw.
1. Lock the saw in the rip position by securing the Rip Lock (3) in the Rip Lock
Fixing Point (4) [Fig E]
2. Set the Rip Fence (5) to the depth required for the cut and lock in position
[Fig F]
3. Switch on the tool (see ‘Switching the unit on and off’) and allow the blade to
reach full speed

4. Holding the workpiece against the rip fence, slowly feed the workpiece into
the saw [Fig G]
5. Towards the end of the cut, use the Push Stick (7) to guide the workpiece so
that your hands do not enter the cut zone close to the Cut Line Indicator (8)
[Fig H]
6. Once the cut is complete, switch off the saw and disconnect the tool from
mains power
Note: The push stick should be stored with the saw after use. It slots into the
front side of the base for storage.
Making a crosscut
In crosscut and mitre cut mode the workpiece is xed and the saw moves
across the workpiece as it cuts.
• In these modes disengage the Rip Lock (3) from the Rip Lock Fixing
Point (4)
• If the Cut Line Indicator (8) doesn’t indicate the centre of the cut correctly
after cutting, adjust with a screwdriver
1. Remove the Rip Fence (5) and set aside
2. Slot the Crosscut Fence (11) into the hole as [Fig I], then secure in position
with the Fence Locking Knob (14)
3. Insert the Clamp Arm (12) into the corresponding slot [Fig J]
4. Lift the clamp arm, slide the workpiece onto the bed and clamp the
workpiece to the bed [Fig K]
5. Switch on the tool (see ‘Switching the unit on and off’) and allow the blade to
reach full speed
6. Using the Handle (15), slide the saw into the workpiece [Fig L]
7. Once the cut is complete, slide the saw back to the starting position
8. Switch off the saw and disconnect the tool from mains power before
removing the workpiece
Mitre cuts
• Re-position the crosscut fence to the
desired angle and insert the clamp into the
corresponding slot [Fig M]
• Make the cut in the same way as in ‘Making
a crosscut’ above
Maintenance
WARNING: Always remove the plug from the
mains power supply before carrying out any maintenance/cleaning.
Cleaning
• Keep your machine clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal parts
to wear quickly, and shorten the machine’s service life
• Clean the body of your machine with a soft brush, or dry cloth. If available,
use clean, dry, compressed air to blow through the ventilation holes. Never
use caustic agents to clean plastic parts
• Do not allow the Dust Bag (13) to become more than three quarters full
before emptying
Blade maintenance
• Regularly check the blade is free from a build-up of gum resins or sawdust.
If necessary clean with a general purpose thin lubricating and penetrating
maintenance spray or mineral turpentine
• Regularly check the blade for sharpness and that it is not buckled or
otherwise damaged. A blunt or buckled blade places excessive load on the
motor and gearbox assembly, and will affect the quality of cut

Replacing the saw blade
NOTE: A replacement GMC blade for this saw is available from your GMC
dealer – product code 162294
• Never t high speed steel blades or abrasive discs. Fitting of other purpose
or different-sized blades will void the warranty
• Do not t inferior blades. Regularly check the blade is at, sharp and free of
cracks or defects
1. Lock the saw in rip cut position (see ‘Making a rip cut’ above)
2. Remove the screw, keeping the Blade Bolt Cover (9)
in place [Fig N]
3. Raise the cover so that you can access the blade bolt
4. Depress the spindle lock button (at the rear of the blade housing) and use
the Hex Key (16) supplied, to loosen and remove the blade bolt [Fig O]
5. Lift the ange off the spindle and set aside
6. Place the saw on its side and carefully slide the blade out through the
aperture at the bottom of the blade housing (Note: it may help to use a
slotted screwdriver to lift the blade off the shaft) [Fig P]
7. Carefully slide the new blade in through the bottom of the blade housing and
position it on the shaft, ensuring the direction of rotation arrows on the blade
are facing the same way as the direction arrows on the xed guard [Fig Q]
8. Re-t the ange onto the spindle, then re- t
the blade bolt [Fig R]
9. Check that the blade is seated properly, then
depress the spindle lock and tighten the bolt
rmly with the hex key

Throat Plate
• The Throat Plate (6) is in two parts which
cover the throat channel that the saw moves
along. If the throat plate becomes damaged
purchase a replacement
• The left and right side can be replaced individually and either side can be
accessed by simply moving the saw mechanism to the opposite side. The
part needed is identical for the left or right side. Simply unscrew the existing
plate and replace. It is important not to over-tighten as the plate may warp.
For best results, tighten by hand
Brushes
• Over time the carbon brushes inside the motor may become worn
• Excessively worn brushes may cause loss of power, intermittent failure, or
visible sparking
• If you suspect that the brushes may be worn, have them replaced at an
authorised service centre

De geluidsintensiteit voor de bediener kan 85 dB(A) overschrijden en
de gehoorbescherming is noodzakelijk.
WAARSCHUWING: Bij een geluidsintensiteit van 85 dB(A) of
hoger is het dragen van gehoorbescherming en het limiteren van
de blootstellingstijd vereist. Bij oncomfortabel hoge geluidsniveaus,
zelfs met het dragen van gehoorbescherming, stopt u het gebruik
van de machine onmiddellijk. Controleer de pasvorm en het
geluiddempingsniveau van de bescherming.
WAARSCHUWING: Blootstelling aan trilling resulteert mogelijk in
gevoelloosheid, tinteling en een vermindert gripvermogen. Langdurige
blootstelling kan leiden tot chronische condities. Limiteer de
blootstellingsduur en draag anti-vibratie handschoenen. Vibratie heeft
een grotere invloed op handen met een temperatuur lager dan een
normale, comfortabele temperatuur.
Tafel gemonteerde en andere machines, anders dan handmachines,
limiteren de blootstelling aan trillingen voor de gebruiker. Ben bewust
van trillingsniveaus en stop het gebruik wanneer de niveaus enig
ongemak veroorzaken. Neem regelmatig pauze.

Algemene Veiligheid
WAARSCHUWING: Bij het gebruik van elektrische machines horen basis
veiligheidsvoorzorgmaatregelingen opgevolgd te worden om de kans op brand,
elektrische schokken en persoonlijk letsel te minimaliseren.
Lees de instructies voor gebruik volledig door en bewaar deze bij de machine
voor toekomstig gebruik.
WAARSCHUWING: De machine is niet geschikt voor gebruik door personen
met een verminderde mentale of fysieke bekwaamheid of een gebrek aan
ervaring, tenzij de persoon wordt begeleid of geïnstrueerd door een persoon
verantwoordelijk voor de veiligheid
LET OP: Het gebruik van de machine voor doeleinden, anders dan waarvoor
de machine is bestemd resulteert mogelijk in gevaarlijke situaties en serieus
persoonlijk letsel
De term “elektrisch gereedschap” in alle hieronder vermelde waarschuwingen
heeft betrekking op uw elektrische gereedschap dat op de stroom is
aangesloten (met een snoer) of met een accu wordt gevoed (snoerloos).
1. Veiligheid in de werkruimte - Rommelige en donkere ruimtes leiden vaak
tot ongelukken.
2. Denk aan de werkplaatsomgeving
• Stel gereedschap niet bloot aan regen
• Gebruik gereedschap niet in vochtige of natte omstandigheden
• Houdt uw werkplaats goed verlicht
• Gebruik gereedschap niet in de nabijheid van ontvlambare vloeistoffen
of gassen
3. Bescherm uzelf tegen elektrische schok – Voorkom het contact met
geaarde oppervlakken (als leidingen, radiatoren, koelkasten).
4. Houd kinderen en omstanders uit de buurt – Laat mensen, vooral
kinderen, de machine en verlengsnoeren niet aanraken en houd ze op
afstand
5. Berg gereedschap wat niet in gebruik is op – Berg gereedschap dat niet
in gebruikt is op een droge plek, buiten het bereik van kinderen op
6. Forceer gereedschap niet – Uw machine functioneert optimaal op de
bestemde gebruikssnelheid
7. Gebruik de juiste machine – Forceer kleine machine niet voor het
uitvoeren van grote werkzaamheden. Gebruik gereedschap niet voor
doeleinden waarvoor ze niet bestemd zijn.
8. Draag de juiste uitrusting
• Loshangende kleding en sieraden kunnen door bewegende onderdelen
gegrepen worden
• Het dragen van niet-slippende schoenen is aangeraden voor buitenwerk
• Bedek lang haar
9. Draag de benodigde beschermingsmiddelen
• Draag een veiligheidsbril
• Draag een stofmasker bij stof producerende werkzaamheden
WAARSCHUWING: Wanneer de beschermende uitrusting niet gedragen wordt
is de kans opeen ongeval groter en is de ernst van voorvallende
ongevallen groter
10.Sluit gereedschap op een stof-ontginningssysteem aan – Wanneer
de machine is voorzien van een stofpoort, sluit u deze op een
ontginningssysteem aan
11. Misbruik het stroomsnoer niet – Trek nooit aan het stroomsnoer om de
stekker uit het stopcontact te halen. Houdt het stroomsnoer uit de buurt van
warmte, olie en scherpe randen. Beschadigde snoeren vergroten de kans op
elektrische schok
12.Klem uw werk vast – Klem uw werkstuk wanneer mogelijk stevig vast
13.Reik niet te ver - Blijf altijd stevig en in balans staan
14.Onderhoud uw gereedschap zorgvuldig
• Het scherp en schoon houden van snijgereedschap zorgt voor een
gemakkelijkere machine controle en een kleinere kans op het buigen
en breken
• Volg smeerinstructies op
• Controleer stroomsnoeren regelmatig op beschadiging en laat deze bij
een geautoriseerd service center repareren
• Laat stroomsnoeren bij een geautoriseerd service center vervangen
• Houdt handvaten schoon, droog en vrij van olie en vet
WAARSCHUWING: Velen ongelukken worden veroorzaakt door slecht
onderhouden machines
15.Ontkoppel machines van de stroombron – wanneer niet in gebruik, voor
onderhoud en bij het vervangen van accessoires ontkoppelt u de machine
van de stroombron
16.Verwijder sleutels – Maak van het controleren op gereedschapssleutels
een gewoonte
17.Voorkom onnodig starten – Zorg ervoor dat de aan-/uitschakelaar bij het
aansluiten op de stroombron, het plaatsen van een accu of het vervoeren in
de uit-positie staat
WAARSCHUWING – Het onnodig starten van de machine kan leiden tot
serieuze verwondingen
18.Het gebruik van buiten verlengsnoeren – Wanneer gereedschap buiten
gebruikt wordt, maakt u gebruik van verlengsnoeren, geschikt voor buiten.
Dit vermindert de kans op elektrische schok
19.Blijf alert
• Houd uw aandacht op het werk, gebruik uw gezonde verstand en gebruik
machines niet wanneer vermoeid
• Gebruik het elektrisch gereedschap niet wanneer u vermoeid bent of
onder invloed van drugs, alcohol of medicijnen
WAARSCHUWING: Onoplettendheid tijdens het bedienen van elektrisch
gereedschap kan leiden tot ernstig letsel
20.Controleer beschadigde onderdelen
• Controleer voor verder gebruik of de machine als bestemd functioneert
• Controleer bewegende delen op uitlijning, beschadiging, montage en
andere gesteldheden die gebruik van de machine mogelijk beïnvloeden
• Een beschadigde beschermkap hoort bij een geautoriseerd service
center gerepareerd of vervangen te worden, tenzij anders vermeld in
deze handleiding
• Laat defecte schakelaars bij een geautoriseerd service center repareren

uitschakelaar. De schakelaar hoort voor gebruik gerepareerd te worden

21. Laat uw machine te allen tijde door een gekwaliceerd persoon
repareren – Laat uw machine te allen tijde door een gekwaliceerd persoon

WAARSCHUWING: Maak bij onderhoud enkel gebruik van identieke
vervangende onderdelen
WAARSCHUWING: Laat een beschadigd stroomsnoer door de verkoper of een
geautoriseerd service center vervangen
22.Stekker horen overeen te komen met het te gebruiken stopcontact –
Stekkers mogen niet aangepast worden. Gebruik geen adapters op geaarde
machines. Overeenkomende stekkers en stopcontacten verminderen de
kans op elektrische schok
23.Indien het onvermijdelijk is elektrisch gereedschap te gebruiken in
een vochtige omgeving, gebruik dan een energiebron met een aardlek
beveiliging (Residual Currency Device). Het gebruik van een RCD
vermindert het risico op een elektrische schok
Let op: Een aardlekschakelaar wordt ook wel verliesstroomschakelaar of
differentieschakelaar genoemd
WAARSCHUWING: Wanneer de machine in Nieuw-Zeeland gebruikt wordt, met
een lekstroom van 30 mA of lager, is het gebruik van een
aardlekschakelaar aanbevolen
Gepolariseerde stekkers (enkel voor Noord-Amerika) Voor het verminderen
van het risico op elektrische schok, is de eenheid voorzien van een
gepolariseerde stekker (Een blad is breder dan de andere). De stekker past
slechts op één manier in een gepolariseerd contactpunt. Wanneer de stekker
niet volledig in het contactpunt past, draait u de stekker om. Wanneer de stekker
nog steeds niet past, neemt u contact op met een gekwaliceerd elektricien. De
plug mag in geen enkele manier aangepast worden.
WAARSCHUWING: MAAK GEBRUIK VAN EEN
GESCHIKT VERLENGSNOER
Zorg ervoor dat gebruikte verlengsnoeren in goede staat verkeren en in staat
zijn de vereiste stroomsterkte te dragen. Te kleine/dunne verlengsnoeren zorgen
voor een krachtverlies en oververhitting.
Een 18AWG snoer is geschikt tot een lengte van 25 meter, 16AWG voor
50 meter en 14 AWG voor 100 meter. Wanneer u enigszins twijfelt over het
geschikte verlengsnoer, gebruik dan een snoer met een lager nummer. Een
lager nummer duidt op een zwaarder snoer
Aanvullende veiligheidsregels voor
zaaggereedschap
WAARSCHUWNG: Voordat u de machine op de stroombron aansluit,
controleert u of de spanning gelijk is aan de spanning weergegeven op het
gegevensplaatje van de laminaatzaag. De aansluiting op een stroombron met
een hogere spanning kan resulteren in serieuze verwondingen aan de gebruiker
en beschadigingen aan de machine. Een lagere spanning is schadelijk voor de
motor. Sluit de machine bij enige twijfel niet aan.
WAARSCHUWING: Beschermkappen, inbegrepen bij de machine horen te allen
tijde gemonteerd te zijn. Bevestig beschermkappen na het onderhouden van
de machine of het verwisselen van een zaagblad. Controleer beschermkappen
voor gebruik op beschadiging.
• Laat niemand, jonger dan 18 jaar oud, de zaag gebruiken
• Wanneer u de zaagt gebruikt, hoort u te allen tijde bescherming te dragen.
Denk hierbij aan een veiligheidsbril, gehoorbeschermers, mondkapje,
beschermende kleding en handschoenen
• Gebruik te allen tijde aanbevolen zaagbladen van de juiste grootte en
vorm. Bladen die niet passen bij het montage hardware van de zaag lopen
excentrisch wat leid tot controleverlies
• ‘Power Tools’ horen tijdens gebruik bij de geïsoleerde handvaten vast
gehouden te worden. Zo bent u beschermd wanneer het blad in contact
komt met het snoer van de zaag of andere bedrading. Komt het blad
in contact met draad wat onder spanning staat, dan komen metalen
onderdelen van de zaag onder spanning te staan, wat de gebruiker van de
zaag een schok kan geven wanneer de handvaten niet gebruikt worden
• Zorg dat uw handen uit de buurt van het zaagblad blijven. Houd één
hand op het hulphandvat, en houd de andere hand op de motorkast.
Wanneer beide handen op het gereedschap geplaatst zijn, kunnen ze niet
beschadigd raken door het zaagblad
• Zaag geen materiaal, dikker dan beschreven in de specificaties van
deze handleiding
• Pas de zaagdiepte, aan de breedte van het werkstuk aan. Minder dan een
volledige tandhoogte dient onder het werkstuk uit te komen
• Zorg dat het werkstuk stevig gemonteerd is, en niet te ver uitsteekt over de
werkbank om buiging van het zaagblad en controleverlies te voorkomen
• Zorg ervoor dat steunen en stroomsnoeren uit de zaag lijn verwijdert zijn
• Zet het werkstuk met een minimale blootstelling op een stabiel platform
vast, om het buigen van het zaagblad en controleverlies te voorkomen
• Voor een accurate snede en voorkomen van het buigen van het zaagblad
is het aan te raden een zaaggeleider te gebruiken bij het zagen
van materialen
• Houd het werkstuk tijdens het zagen nooit met de hand vast of steunend
op uw benen
• Wanneer u aan het zagen bent, staat u aan de zijkant van het werkstuk
• Het zaagblad steekt onder de tafel uit
• Reik niet onder het werkstuk waar uw handen niet beschermd zijn tegen
het zaagblad
• Let op de draairichting van de motor en het zaagblad
• Inspecteer het werkstuk en verwijder alle voorwerpen in de buurt van de
zaag voordat u begint met zagen

• Oefen tijdens het zagen geen zijwaartse of draaiende druk op het
zaagblad uit
• Wanneer het zaagblad niet tot de volledige breedte van het werkstuk reikt,
of wanneer het zaagblad in het werkstuk klemt, laat u de zaag volledig tot
stilstand komen voordat u de zaag uit het werkstuk tilt
• Wanneer het zaagblad vast geklemd zit in het werkstuk hoort u de machine
uit te schakelen voordat u het blad los probeert te krijgen
• Beweeg de zaag niet naar achter tijdens het zagen van een werkstuk
• Kijk uit voor rondvliegend zaagafval. Het is de gebruikers
verantwoordelijkheid omstanders te beschermen tegen
rondvliegend zaagafval
• Wanneer u onderbroken wordt tijdens het zagen, maak de snede dan eerst
af en schakel de machine uit voordat u opkijkt
• De blad bout en de sluitringen zijn speciaal ontworpen voor uw zaag.
Voor een optimale prestatie en een optimale veiligheid, gebruikt u geen
beschadigde of onjuiste sluitringen
• Controleer regelmatig of de beschermkap juist functioneert. Wanneer de
kap het zaagblad niet automatisch afdekt, laat u de machine repareren
voor verder gebruik
• Controleer regelmatig of alle bouten, moeren en andere bevestigingen
goed vastgedraaid zijn
• De duwstok hoort tijdens het schulpen van smalle werkstukken te allen tijde
gebruikt te worden
• Maak te allen tijde gebruik van de geleiders om het werkstuk te
positioneren en te geleiden
• Het maken van zaagsneden waarvoor de machine niet bestemd is kan
leiden tot ongelukken
• Laat de machine nooit onbeheerd achter wanneer deze is ingeschakeld.
Wacht tot de zaag volledig tot stilstand gekomen is voordat u
deze achterlaat
• Sluit ruimtes met permanent opgezet gereedschap goed af om de toegang
van kinderen te voorkomen
• Maak geen misbruik van uw gereedschap. Oefen geen overmatige druk op
machines uit en ga tijdens het gebruik niet op machines staan
• Gebruik geen misvormde of beschadigde zaagbladen
• Gebruik geen HSS zaagbladen
• De maximale snelheid van het zaagblad hoort hoger te liggen dan de
onbelaste snelheid van de machine
Aanvullende veiligheid voor
tafelzaagmachines
Gebruik de machine niet met een beschadigde zaaggleufplaat. Vervang de
zaaggleufplaat wanneer tekenen van beschadiging waarneembaar zijn
De duwstok hoort na gebruik met de machine opgeborgen te worden. De
duwstok beschermd de handen van de gebruiker tegen het roterende zaagblad
Het zaagblad mag niet dikker zijn dan het spouwmes. Zo blijft het werkstuk
in positie
Gepolariseerde stekkers (Enkel voor Noord-Amerika). Om de kans op
elektrische schok te verkleinen is de machine voorzien van een gepolariseerde
stekker (een blad is breder dan de ander). De stekker past enkel op één manier
in een gepolariseerd contact. Wanneer de stekker niet past, draait u deze om.
Wanneer de stekker ook op deze manier niet pas, neemt u contact op met een
gekwaliceerd elektricien voor het installeren van een juist contact. Pas de
stekker niet aan.
De zaagmachine mag alleen gebruikt worden voor het voorgeschreven doel.
Elk ander doel dan vermeld staat in deze handleiding wordt beschouwd als
misbruik. De gebruiker en niet de fabrikant is vervolgens aansprakelijk voor
eventuele schade of eventueel letsel ten gevolge van dergelijke gevallen
van misbruik.
De fabrikant is niet verantwoordelijk voor eventuele wijzigingen die gedaan
worden aan het gereedschap, noch voor eventuele schade die het resultaat is
van dergelijke wijzigingen.
Zelfs wanneer het gereedschap gebruikt wordt zoals is voorgeschreven, is het
niet mogelijk alle resterende risicofactoren te elimineren.
