effective operation of this product. This product has unique features and, even if you are familiar
with similar products, it is necessary to read this manual carefully to ensure you fully understand the

WARNING: Always wear ear protection where the sound level exceeds 85dB(A) and limit the time
of exposure if necessary. If sound levels are uncomfortable, even with ear protection, stop using the
tool immediately and check the ear protection is correctly fitted and provides the correct level of
sound attenuation for the level of sound produced by your tool.
WARNING: User exposure to tool vibration can result in loss of sense of touch, numbness, tingling
and reduced ability to grip. Long-term exposure can lead to a chronic condition. If necessary, limit
the length of time exposed to vibration and use anti-vibration gloves. Do not operate the tool with
hands below a normal comfortable temperature, as vibration will have a greater effect. Use the
figures provided in the specification relating to vibration to calculate the duration and frequency of
operating the tool.
Sound and vibration levels in the specification are determined according to EN60745 or similar
international standards. The figures represent normal use for the tool in normal working conditions.
A poorly maintained, incorrectly assembled, or misused tool, may produce increased levels of noise
and vibration.
www.osha.europa.eu provides information on sound and vibration levels in the workplace that may
be useful to domestic users who use tools for long periods of time.
General Safety
WARNING Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
WARNING: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced, physical or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge unless they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-
operated (cordless) power tool.
1) Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause
you to lose control.
2) Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any
adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets
will reduce risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges
and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or
grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the
power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled
cords increase the risk of electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use.
Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device
(RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
3) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power
tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol
or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious
personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment
such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate
conditions will reduce personal injuries.

c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting
to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power
tools with your finger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites
accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key
left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control
of the power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves
away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities,
ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-
related hazards.
4) Power tool use and care
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct
power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that
cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool
before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such
preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar
with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are
dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of
parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged,
have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained
power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting
edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions,
taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the
power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
5) Battery tool use and care
a) Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for
one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
b) Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery
packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
c) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips,
coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects that can make a connection from
one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
d) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If
contact occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.
Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
6) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Additional Safety Rules For Reciprocating
Saws
WARNING!
• Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when performing an operation where the
cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Cutting accessory contacting
a “live” wire may make exposed metal parts of the power tool “live” and could give the operator
an electric shock.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
• Recommendations for the use of a residual current device with a rated residual current
of 30mA or less.
• Wear a safety helmet, safety glasses and/or face shield. It is also highly recommended that
you wear a dust mask, ear protection and padded gloves.
• Check the blade carefully for cracks or damage prior to operation. Replace cracked or
damaged blades immediately.
• Hold the tool firmly during operation. Always hold the adjustable pivoting shoe firmly against
the work piece.
• Ensure no one is below you when using the tool in elevated conditions.
• Do not point the tool at anyone in the immediate vicinity.
a) Ensure that lighting is adequate

c) Never saw near combustible liquids or gases
d) Check for hidden wiring and pipes before sawing
e) Use recommended blades only
f) Blades must be sharp and not cracked or distorted
g) Before starting work, inspect the workpiece and remove all embedded objects such as nails,
screws etc
h) Support and secure the workpiece correctly
i) When cutting cylindrical wood, use clamps that prevent the workpiece from turning
j) Use the insulated handles when operating power tools. This protects the operator if the tool
accidentally cuts through hidden electrical wiring, causing the tool to become ‘live’
k) Always stand to one side when operating the saw
l) Do not use your hands to remove sawdust, chips or waste close to the blade
m) Never reach over the blade to remove waste or off-cuts
n) Do not attempt to free a jammed blade until the machine has been disconnected from the
power
o) Do not attempt to slow or stop a blade with any object. Let the blade come to rest naturally
p) If you are interrupted when operating the saw, complete the process and switch off before
looking up
q) Periodically check the tool for loose nuts, bolts and tighten as necessary
Battery Safety
WARNING: Li-Ion batteries, if incorrectly used, stored or charged are a fire, burn and explosion
hazard.
• Keep the battery out of reach of children
• ONLY charge Li-Ion batteries using the charger provided or designed specifically for your
product
• ONLY use Li-Ion batteries provided with a product or specifically designed to be compatible
• Allow batteries to cool for 15 minutes after charging or heavy use. Failure to follow these
instructions may cause overheating or fire
• When not in use batteries should be stored at room temperature (approximately 20˚C)
• Ensure that battery contacts cannot accidentally short in storage. Keep batteries clean; foreign
objects or dirt may cause a short. Keep away from other metal objects, for example, paperclips,
coins, keys, nails and screws
• Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery. This liquid may cause skin
irritation or burns. Avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid
contacts eyes, seek medical help

Battery Charger Safety
Use the battery charger correctly
• Refer to the section of this manual relating to use of the battery charger before attempting to
charge the battery.
• Do not attempt to use the charger with any batteries other than those supplied. Keep your
battery charger clean; foreign objects or dirt may cause a short or block air vents. Failure to
follow these instructions may cause overheating or fire
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard
Warning: Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries
Use batteries correctly
• Only charge batteries using the charger provided. Only use batteries provided with this power
tool, or others recommended by the supplier. Keep batteries clean; foreign objects or dirt may
cause a short. Allow batteries to cool for 15 minutes after charging or heavy use. Failure to
follow these instructions may cause overheating or fire.
• When not in use batteries should be stored at room temperature (approx. 20˚C). Ensure that
batteries cannot accidentally short in storage.
Battery and charger safety features
The battery and charger are fitted with a number of safety features which may be triggered during
charging or operation:
• Over-charge protection: Charger automatically switches off when the battery has reached full
charge capacity, protecting the internal components of the battery
• Over-discharge protection: Prevents the battery from discharging beyond the recommended
lowest safety voltage
• Over-heat protection: Sensor switches off if the battery becomes too hot during operation.
This can happen if the tool is overloaded or being used for extended periods of time. Up to 30
minutes’ cooling time may be required depending on the ambient temperature
• Overload protection: Battery temporarily stops if it is overloaded or the maximum current draw is
exceeded, protecting the internal components.The battery will resume normal operation when
the current draw returns to a normal safe level. This may take a few seconds
• Short-circuit protection: The battery will stop working immediately if a short circuit occurs, this
prevents damage to the battery or tool

Intended Use
Cordless reciprocating power saw for light to medium duty cutting of wood, plasterboard, plastic,
mild steel, and also non-ferrous metals.
Unpacking Your Tool
• Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Fully familiarise yourself with all its features and functions
• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts are missing or
damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use this tool
Before Use
Removing a battery
• To remove the Battery (10) from the tool, press the Battery Release (11), then slide the Battery
off the Battery Slot (8)
WARNING: DO NOT try to remove the Battery without pressing the Battery Release button. The tool
or Battery could be damaged.
Fitting a battery
• To fit a charged battery, slide it on the Battery Slot (8) of the tool until it clicks and locks into
position
Note: Make sure the Battery and tool are lined up correctly. If the Battery does not slide into the tool
easily, don’t force it. Instead, slide the Battery out of the tool again. Check the top of Battery and the
saw battery slot are clean and undamaged and that the contacts are not bent.
Setting up the battery charger
1. If fitted, remove any battery from the Battery Charger (15)
2. Insert the Battery Charger mains plug into a suitable mains socket
Note: The Green LED (16) on the Battery Charger will blink to indicate that the Battery Charger is
ready to charge the battery.
WARNING: ONLY use this charger to charge the supplied battery or additional purchased batteries
that are specifically designed for this tool.
WARNING: The charger is designed for indoor use only, and MUST NOT be used in damp or
wet conditions.
Charging the battery
WARNING: Failure to follow the correct procedure when charging batteries will result in permanent
damage.
Note: Normal charging time is 80 minutes for a recently discharged 4Ah battery. However, if the
Battery (10) has been left in a discharged state for some time, it may take additional time to charge.
1. Slide a fully or partially discharged Battery onto the Battery Charger (15)
Note: Make sure the Battery and Battery Charger are lined up correctly. If the Battery does not
slide onto the Battery Charger easily, don’t force it. Instead, remove the Battery. Check that the top
of the Battery and the Battery Charger Slot (14) are clean and undamaged and that the contacts
are not bent.
2. Once charging commences, the Red LED (17) will illuminate
3. When the Battery is fully charged, the Green LED (16) will be illuminated
Battery Charge Level: The Battery has a built-in Charge Indicator (9) (Fig. I). Pressing on the button
to the right will indicate the charge level. The right LED indicates a high charge level and the left a
low charge level that will mean the battery pack will require charging soon.
IMPORTANT: When a low charge level is indicated be aware the tool may stop operating while using
the tool. In some instances this may be dangerous. It is recommended to always ensure the battery
pack has a good charge level.
Notes about battery charging:
• The Battery (10) should be charged at ambient temperatures between 10 and 40°C (ideally
around 20°C)
• After charging, allow 15 minutes for the battery to cool before use

• Ensure that the charger is disconnected from the mains supply after use, and is stored correctly
• DO NOT leave batteries on charge for extended periods and NEVER store batteries on charge
• The Battery Charger (15) monitors battery temperature and voltage while charging. Remove
the Battery once charging has been completed to maximise charge cycles of the battery and
not waste power
• Batteries can become faulty over time, individual cells in the battery can fail and the battery
could short. The charger will not charge faulty batteries. Use another battery, if possible, to
check correct functionality of the charger and purchase a replacement battery if a faulty battery
is indicated
• DO NOT store Lithium-Ion battery packs in a discharged state long term. This can damage the
Lithium-Ion cells. For long-term storage, store batteries in a high charge state disconnected
from the power tool
• The capacity of batteries will reduce over time. After 100 charge cycles, the battery’s operation
time and the maximum torque performance of the drill will slightly reduce. This decline will
continue until the battery has minimal capacity after 500 charge cycles. This is normal and not
a fault with the battery pack
Note: It is recommended to only use a minimum of 3Ah capacity batteries with this tool due to
the high current motor and safety issues with the battery fully discharging in use stopping the tool
operating. The 3Ah or 4Ah capacity batteries are recommended for additional safety and runtime.
Fitting a saw blade
WARNING: ALWAYS remove the battery before fitting or removing saw blades.
WARNING: ALWAYS wear suitable cut-proof gloves when handling saw blades.
WARNING: DO NOT continue to use blunt, warped or otherwise damaged saw blades. Note:
ALWAYS fit a saw blade specific to the material you are cutting.
1. Rotate the Blade Slot Assembly (3) fully anti-clockwise (Fig. II), and insert the blade shank as far
as it will go into the slot in the required orientation. For most uses the teeth will be facing down.
2. Release the Blade Slot Assembly
3. Pull the blade to ensure that it is secure. If it is not locked firmly in place repeat the above
procedure
• To remove a blade from the Blade Slot Assembly rotate fully anti-clockwise and remove

• This reciprocating saw uses standard ½” universal shank saw blades
• Use a blade length that extends beyond the Shoe (2) at all stages of the reciprocating action
stroke and is long enough for the workpiece. The blade end should not be within the body of the
workpiece at any stage of the reciprocating action (see Fig. IV)
• When removing broken blades be very careful of sharp metal where the blade has broken. If
necessary use pliers to remove the blade
• Dust, wood chippings and swarf can cause the blade locking mechanism to malfunction. If this
occurs, remove the blade and hold the Blade Slot Assembly (3) in open mode. Remove particles
from the mechanism by vacuuming or blowing dry compressed air through the blade Slot
• It may be necessary to twist the Blade Clamp Assembly wheel back and forth to loosen the dust
- do this with the slot facing downwards. After cleaning, use a dry graphite based lubricant on
the Blade Clamp mechanism
Types of blade
Different teeth configurations are shown in Fig III.
(A) General purpose bi-directional saw blade suitable for cutting branches on bushes or trees.
It cuts fast but will push the branch away from the Shoe (2) as it cuts on one part of its
reciprocating action
(B) Teeth configuration suitable for metal with a very fine tooth pitch. This takes a very small
amount of material with each cut and is normally uni-directional. For example, if cutting a pipe,
the reciprocating saw would not push the pipe away from the Shoe as its major cut is only
when cutting towards the Shoe
(C) Typical uni-directional wood saw blade. It cuts as it returns to the saw, not when it travels away
from the saw
Understanding the difference between uni-directional and bi-directional saw blades and when
to use each type will make safer and more effective use of the reciprocating saw. Only use bi-
directional saw blades when it is safe to do so. Some high-performance blades with a fast cutting
action may be based on a bi-directional cut as are some blades designed for materials such as
plaster board.
• Always use a uni-directional blade when the workpiece isn’t securely clamped
Operation
WARNING: Always use adequate protective equipment, including eye protection, respiratory and
hearing protection, as well as suitable gloves, when working with this tool.
WARNING: When cutting wood, ensure foreign objects, such as nails and screws, are removed
from the workpiece before starting to cut.
WARNING: NEVER attempt to cut with a saw blade fitted that is not suitable for the material.
NEVER use blunt or otherwise damaged saw blades.
Note: ALWAYS use clamps to secure your workpiece to the workbench wherever possible.
Switching on and off
1. Hold the tool securely with both hands by the Main Handle (7) and Barrel Grip (4) ensuring your
hands are always behind the Hand Guard (13) at all times
2. Ensure the tool is not in contact with the workpiece with no gap between the Shoe (2) and
workpiece (Fig. V) before commencing with switching on
3. Press in the Safety Lock-Off (5) and hold in.
Note: A Safety Lock-Off is on both sides of the tool for both left and right handed operation.
4. Press the Variable Speed Trigger (6) to start the saw
Note: The speed of the blade is controlled by increasing/decreasing pressure on the Variable Speed
Trigger.
5. Release the Variable Speed Trigger Switch to stop the saw
WARNING: ALWAYS remove the saw blade from the cut before switching off.
WARNING: Always wait until the saw blade has stopped moving completely, before putting the
machine down. It is recommended to remove the battery after use for safety.
Adjusting tool speed
Note: This GMC reciprocating saw features variable speed control, adjusted by the Variable Speed
Trigger (6), which enables it to be used with a variety of different materials, workpieces and objects.
WARNING: ALWAYS adjust the speed according to material requirements. Use appropriate
cutting fluid or cooling agent when cutting metals.
Note: If in doubt about the correct cutting speed, refer to the blade manufacturer’s instructions, and
follow recommendations specific to the material being cut.
Making general cuts
1. Mark out the cutting line
2. Ensure that the material to be cut is secure. Small workpieces should be held in a vice or
clamped to the workbench
3. Hold the saw firmly using both hands, one on the Main Handle (7), one on the Barrel Grip (4)
4. Make sure that the blade is clear of any obstruction, or foreign objects
5. Squeeze the trigger and allow the blade to reach full speed
6. Place the shoe on the workpiece and begin sawing
WARNING: Use ONLY enough pressure to keep the saw cutting. NEVER force the saw blade;
allow the blade and the saw to do the work. Use of excessive pressure that causes bending or
twisting of the blade may cause the blade to break.
Making plunge cuts
WARNING: Plunge cutting is an advanced technique with higher risk. Only attempt plunge cuts
when you are competent and experienced with this technique.
WARNING: ONLY attempt the plunge cutting procedure in soft materials such as wood,
plasterboard and similar materials. DO NOT attempt plunge cuts in metal or hard materials. ONLY

use blades specifically designed for plunge cutting. If in doubt, refer to the blade manufacturer’s

there are no foreign objects on the underneath, or objects which could be damaged. Be aware of
hidden pipe work and cables, when plunge cutting into drywalls, ceilings or floor boards. If pipes or
cables may be present, switch off all electrical circuit breakers and shut off water and gas supplies
at the relevant mains valves.
WARNING: Blindly plunge cutting into walls, floors and ceilings may lead to serious injury and
substantial property damage.
1. Mark the line of the cut
2. Choose a point inside the area to be cut out and place the tip of the blade over that point
3. Rest the front edge of the shoe on the workpiece, so the blade does not make contact with the
workpiece surface (main image of fig. VI)
4. Hold the tool securely with both hands by the Main Handle (7) and Barrel Grip (4), and make sure
you have full control at all times
5. Squeeze the Variable Speed Trigger (6) fully, for maximum speed, and allow the blade to reach
full speed
6. Slowly lower the blade until it makes contact with the workpiece
7. Continue to cut slowly, until the blade has fully penetrated the thickness of the workpiece (as
shown in fig. VI)
8. Commence with cutting as normal
Notes:
• Use the same plunge technique when re-entering the same inset cut slot until a section of
material has been removed that allows entry from the edge of the material within the inset cut
• If the technique is unsuccessful, due to the blade or hardness of the material, a more
conventional method will be required for an inset cut as used for metal. Drill a hole or multiple
connected holes wider than the blade and start the cut from the drilled hole
Metal cutting tips
Note: This saw is capable of cutting metals, such as sheet steel, pipe, steel rods, aluminium, brass
and copper.
• ALWAYS use a blade specified for cutting metal
• Be careful not to bend or twist the blade and do not force the cutting action
• ALWAYS use a suitable cutting fluid when sawing soft metals and steel. This keeps the blade
cooler, prolongs blade life and makes cutting more efficient
• Clamp the workpiece firmly and cut close to the clamping point to minimise vibration
• When cutting conduit pipe or angle iron, clamp the work in a vice if possible and cut close to
the vice
• To cut thin sheet metal, sandwich the sheet between hardboard or plywood and clamp the
layers to prevent vibration and tearing of the metal

WAARSCHUWING: Bij een geluidsintensiteit van 85 dB(A) of hoger is het dragen van
gehoorbescherming en het limiteren van de blootstellingstijd vereist. Bij oncomfortabel hoge
geluidsniveaus, zelfs met het dragen van gehoorbescherming, stopt u het gebruik van de machine
onmiddellijk. Controleer de pasvorm en het geluiddempingsniveau van de bescherming.
WAARSCHUWING: Blootstelling aan trilling resulteert mogelijk in gevoelloosheid, tinteling en een
vermindert gripvermogen. Langdurige blootstelling kan leiden tot chronische condities. Limiteer de
blootstellingsduur en draag anti-vibratie handschoenen. Vibratie heeft een grotere invloed op handen
met een temperatuur lager dan een normale, comfortabele temperatuur. Maak gebruik van de
informatie in de specificaties voor het bereken van de gebruiksduur en frequentie van de machine.
Geluid- en trillingsniveaus in de specificatie zijn vastgesteld volgens EN60745 of een gelijksoortige
internationale norm. De waarden gelden voor een normaal gebruik in normale werkomstandigheden.
Een slecht onderhouden, onjuist samengestelde of onjuist gebruikte machine produceert mogelijk
hogere geluids- en trillingsniveaus. www.osha.europa.eu biedt informatie met betrekking tot geluids-
en trillingsniveaus op de werkplek wat mogelijk nuttig is voor regelmatige gebruikers van machines.
Algemene veiligheid
WAARSCHUWING Lees alle bediening- en veiligheidsvoorschriften. Het niet opvolgen van alle
voorschriften die hieronder vermeld staan, kan resulteren in een elektrische schok, brand en/of
ernstig letsel.
WAARSCHUWING: De machine is niet geschikt voor gebruik door personen met een verminderde
mentale of fysieke gesteldheid of een gebrek aan ervaring, tenzij de persoon wordt begeleid of
geïnstrueerd door een persoon verantwoordelijk voor de veiligheid
Bewaar deze voorschriften voor toekomstig gebruik.
De term “elektrisch gereedschap” in alle hieronder vermelde waarschuwingen heeft betrekking op
uw elektrische gereedschap dat op de stroom is aangesloten (met een snoer) of met een accu wordt
gevoed (snoerloos).
1) Veiligheid in de werkruimte
a) Houd de werkruimte schoon en zorg voor een goede verlichting. Rommelige en donkere
ruimtes leiden vaak tot ongelukken.
b) Werk niet met elektrisch gereedschap in explosieve omgevingen, bijvoorbeeld in
de aanwezigheid van ontvlambare vloeistoffen, gassen of stof. Elektrisch gereedschap
brengt vonken teweeg die stof of dampen kunnen doen ontbranden.
c) Houd kinderen en omstanders uit de buurt wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap bedient.
Door afleiding kunt u de controle over het gereedschap verliezen.
2) Elektrische veiligheid
a) De stekkers van het elektrische gereedschap moeten passen bij het stopcontact.
Pas de stekker niet aan. Gebruik geen adapterstekkers bij geaard elektrisch
gereedschap. Het gebruik van ongewijzigde stekkers en passende stopcontacten vermindert
het risico op een elektrische schok.
b) Vermijd lichamelijk contact met geaarde oppervlakken zoals pijpen, radiatoren, fornuizen
en koelkasten. Het risico op een elektrische schok neemt toe als uw lichaam geaard wordt.
c) Laat elektrisch gereedschap niet nat worden. Wanneer elektrisch gereedschap nat wordt,
neemt het risico op een elektrische schok toe.
d) Beschadig het snoer niet. Gebruik het snoer nooit om het elektrisch gereedschap te
dragen, te trekken of om de stekker uit het stopcontact te trekken. Houd het snoer uit de
buurt van hitte, olie, scherpe randen of bewegende delen. Een beschadigd of in de knoop
geraakt snoeren verhoogt het risico op een elektrische schok toe.
e) Wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap buiten gebruikt, maak dan gebruik van een
verlengsnoer dat geschikt is voor gebruik buitenshuis. Gebruik een verlengsnoer dat
geschikt is voor gebruik buitenshuis om het risico op een elektrische schok te verminderen.
f) Indien het onvermijdelijk is elektrisch gereedschap te gebruiken in een vochtige
omgeving, gebruik dan een energiebron met een aard lek beveiliging (Residual Currency
Device). Het gebruik van een RCD vermindert het risico op een elektrische schok.
3) Persoonlijke veiligheid
a) Blijf alert en gebruik uw gezonde verstand wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap bedient.
Gebruik het elektrisch gereedschap niet wanneer u vermoeid bent of onder invloed van
drugs, alcohol of medicijnen. Onoplettendheid tijdens het bedienen van elektrisch
gereedschap kan leiden tot ernstig letsel.

b) Maak gebruik van persoonlijke bescherming. Draag altijd een veiligheidsbril. Passende
bescherming voor de omstandigheden, zoals een stofmasker, niet-slippende
veiligheidsschoenen een helm of gehoorbescherming, vermindert het risico op persoonlijk
letsel.
c) Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat niet per ongeluk wordt gestart. Controleer of de schakelaar
in de ‘uit’ stand staat voordat u de stekker in het stopcontact steekt. Het dragen van
elektrisch gereedschap met uw vinger op de schakelaar of het aansluiten op de stroom van
elektrisch gereedschap met de schakelaar ingeschakeld kan tot ongelukken leiden.
d) Verwijder alle stel- of moersleutels voordat u het elektrische gereedschap inschakelt.
Een moer- of stelsleutel die zich op een draaiend onderdeel van het elektrische gereedschap
bevindt, kan leiden tot letsel.
e) Reik niet te ver. Blijf altijd stevig en in balans staan. Zo houdt u meer controle over het
elektrische gereedschap in onverwachte situaties.
f) Draag geschikte kleding. Draag geen loshangende kleding of sieraden. Houd haren,
kleding en handschoenen uit de buurt van bewegende delen. Loshangende kleding,
sieraden en los hangende haren kunnen vast komen te zitten in bewegende delen.
g) Als er onderdelen voor stofafvoer- en stofverzameling worden meegeleverd, sluit deze
dan aan en gebruik deze op de juiste wijze. Het gebruik van deze onderdelen kan het risico
op stofgerelateerde ongelukken verminderen.
4) Gebruik en verzorging van elektrisch gereedschap
a) Forceer elektrisch gereedschap niet. Gebruik elektrisch gereedschap dat geschikt is voor
het werk dat u wilt uitvoeren. Geschikt elektrisch gereedschap werkt beter en veiliger op een
passende snelheid.
b) Gebruik het elektrische gereedschap niet als de schakelaar het apparaat niet in- en
uitschakelt. Elektrisch gereedschap dat niet bediend kan worden met de schakelaar is
gevaarlijk en moet gerepareerd worden.
c) Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact voordat u instellingen aanpast, toebehoren verwisselt
of het elektrische gereedschap opbergt. Dergelijke voorzorgsmaatregelen verminderen het
risico op het per ongeluk starten van het elektrische gereedschap.
d) Berg elektrisch gereedschap dat niet in gebruik is op buiten bereik van kinderen en laat
mensen die niet bekend zijn met het elektrische gereedschap of met deze instructies het
elektrische gereedschap niet bedienen. Elektrisch gereedschap is gevaarlijk in de handen
van onervaren gebruikers.
e) Onderhoud uw elektrisch gereedschap. Controleer op foutieve uitlijning of het vastslaan
van bewegende delen, gebroken onderdelen en elke andere afwijking die de werking van
het elektrische gereedschap zou kunnen beïnvloeden. Indien het elektrische
gereedschap beschadigd is, moet u het laten repareren voordat u het weer gebruikt. Veel
ongelukken worden veroorzaakt door slecht onderhouden elektrisch gereedschap.
f) Houd snijwerktuigen scherp en schoon. Goed onderhouden snijwerktuigen met scherpe
messen slaan minder snel vast en zijn gemakkelijker te bedienen.
g) Gebruik het elektrische gereedschap, toebehoren en onderdelen, etc. volgens
deze instructies en volgens bestemming voor het specifieke type elektrisch gereedschap,
en houd daarbij rekening met de werkomstandigheden en het uit te voeren werk. Gebruik
van elektrisch gereedschap voor werkzaamheden die verschillen van die waarvoor het apparaat
bestemd is, kan leiden tot gevaarlijke situaties.
5) Accu machine gebruik en onderhoud
a) Laad de accu enkel met de door de fabrikant gespecificeerde accu op. Het gebruik van een
accu, geschikt voor één accusoort, voor een andere accusoort resulteert mogelijk in brand
b) Gebruik accu machines enkel met specifiek bedoelde accu’s. Het gebruik van andere
accu’s resulteert mogelijk in persoonlijk letsel en brand
c) Wanneer een accu niet gebruik is, houdt u deze uit de buurt van metalen voorwerpen
als paperclips, munten, spijkers, schroeven, etc. Het kortsluiten van een accu resulteert
mogelijk in brand Wanneer accuvloeistoffen in uw ogen terecht komt, zoekt u onmiddellijk
medische hulp. Accuvloeistoffen veroorzaken mogelijk irritatie en brandend gevoel
d) Misbruik van de accu resulteert mogelijk in vloeistof uitstoot. Voorkom contact. Spoel,
wanneer contact plaatsgevonden heeft, onmiddellijk met water. Wanneer de vloeistof in uw
ogen terecht komt zoekt u onmiddellijk medische hulp. Accuvloeistoffen veroorzaken mogelijk
irritatie en brandend gevoel
6) Onderhoud
a) Laat uw elektrische gereedschap onderhouden door een gekwalificeerde vakman en
gebruik alleen identieke vervangstukken. Zo bent u er zeker van dat de veiligheid van het
elektrische gereedschap gewaarborgd blijft.
Reciprozaag veiligheid
• Houd de machine enkel aan de geïsoleerde greepvlakken vast als u werkzaamheden
uitvoert waarbij het inzetgereedschap verborgen stroomleidingen of de eigen
stroomkabel kan raken. Contact met een onder spanning staande leiding kan ook metalen
delen van het gereedschap onder spanning zetten, wat mogelijk leid tot een elektrische schok
• De machine is niet geschikt voor gebruik door personen met een verminderde mentale of
fysieke gesteldheid of een gebrek aan ervaring, tenzij de persoon wordt begeleid of geïnstrueerd
door een persoon verantwoordelijk voor de veiligheid
• Het is aanbevolen de machine te gebruiken met een aardlekschakelaar met een
maximale lekstroom van 30 mA
• Draag de juiste beschermende uitrusting, waaronder een veiligheidsbril, gehoorbescherming,
een stofmasker en beschermende kleding inclusief handschoenen
• Controleer het zaagblad voor elk gebruik op breuken en beschadiging. Beschadigde bladen
dienen onmiddellijk vervangen te worden
• Houdt de machine tijdens gebruik stevig vast. Houdt de kantelschoen stevig tegen het werkstuk
• Houdt omstanders uit de directe omgeving van de machine
• Richt de machine niet om omstanders
a) Zorg voor voldoende verlichting
b) Houdt de werkomgeving vrij van struikelgevaren
c) Zaag niet in de buurt van licht ontvlambare vloeistoffen en gassen
d) Controleer voor verborgen leidingen en draden
e) Maak enkel gebruik van aanbevolen zaagbladen
f) Bladen dienen scherp en vrij van breuken en andere beschadigingen te zijn
g) Controleer het werkstuk voor gebruik en verwijder alle voorwerpen als schroeven en spijkers
h) Het werkstuk dient ondersteund en vastgezet te worden
i) Zorg ervoor dat ronde werkstukken goed vastgezet worden om draaien te voorkomen
j) Houdt elektrische machine enkel bij de geïsoleerde handvaten vast. Zo voorkomt u de kans op
elektrische schok in het geval van contact met stroomdraden
k) Ga aan de linker of rechter kant van de machine staan
l) Zaagsel en houtsplinters dicht bij het zaagblad mogen niet met uw handen verwijderd worden
m) Reik niet over het zaagblad voor het verwijderen van afvalmateriaal
n) Probeer vastgelopen bladen niet te bevrijden voordat de machine ontkoppeld is van de
stroombron
o) Probeer het blad niet te stoppen met enig voorwerp. Laat het blad vanzelf tot stilstand komen
p) Wanneer u tijdens het gebruik van de machine gestoord wordt, maakt u de zaagsnede af
voordat u opkijkt
q) Controleer regelmatig of de bevestigingsmiddelen goed vast zitten en draai vast wanneer

• Wanneer niet in gebruik dienen accu’s op kamertemperatuur (ongeveer 20°C) opgeborgen te
worden
• Zorg ervoor dat de accu, wanneer opgeborgen, geen kortsluiting kan veroorzaken. Houdt accu’s
schoon; vreemde voorwerpen kunnen kortsluiting veroorzaken. Houdt accu’s uit de buurt van
metalen voorwerpen als paperclips, muntjes, sleutels, etc.
• Bij verkeerd gebruik kan vloeistof uit de accu lekken. De vloeistof veroorzaakt mogelijk
huidirritatie brandwonden. Wanneer de vloeistof in contact komt met de huid spoelt u uw huid
onmiddellijk met water. Wanneer de vloeistof in de ogen terecht komt zoekt u onmiddellijk
medische hulp
• Open, demonteer, breek, verwarm (boven 60°C) en verbrand accu’s niet. Gooi accu’s niet in

Acculader veiligheid
Juist gebruik van de oplader
• Raadpleeg het deel in deze handleiding wat betrekking heeft op het gebruik van de oplader, voor
het opladen van de accu.
• Gebruik de oplader niet in combinatie met een accu, anders dan die verstrekt bij de machine.
Houd de oplader schoon; stof en/of vuil kan leiden tot kortsluiting en een geblokkeerde ventilatie
wat kan resulteren in oververhitting en/of brand
• Wanneer het stroomsnoer beschadigt is, laat u deze door de fabrikant vervangen om gevaren
te voorkomen
Waarschuwing: Herlaad geen niet-oplaadbare accu’s
Juist gebruik van de accu
• Laad de accu alleen op met de oplader verstrekt bij de machine. Gebruik enkel de bijgeleverde
accu, of accu’s aangeraden door de leverancier. Houd uw accu schoon; stof en/of vuil kan leiden
tot kortsluiting. Laat de accu, na het opladen of na lang gebruik, 15 minuten afkoelen. Het falen
van het opvolgen van deze instructies kan leiden tot oververhitting en/of brand
• Wanneer niet in gebruik dienen accu’s op kamertemperatuur (ongeveer 20°C) opgeborgen te
worden
Accu en oplader veiligheidskenmerken
De accu en de oplader zijn voorzien van een aantal veiligheidskenmerken welke tijdens opladen of
gebruik getriggerd kunnen worden
• Overlading bescherming: De oplader schakelt automatisch uit wanneer de accu volledig is
opgeladen om zo de interne delen van de accu te beschermen tegen beschadigen
• Ontlading bescherming: Beschermt de accu tegen ontlading verder dan het aangeraden laagste
spanningspunt
• Oververhittingsbescherming: Een ingebouwde sensor schakelt de machine uit wanneer de accu
te heet wordt. Dit kan gebeuren wanneer de belasting te groot is en wanneer de machine voor
langere periode gebruikt wordt. Afhankelijk van de temperatuur heeft de accu mogelijk een
koelperiode van 30 minuten nodig.
• Overbelasting bescherming: De accu stopt tijdelijk wanneer deze wordt overbelast of wanneer
de maximale spanning wordt overschreden om zo de interne onderdelen te beschermen tegen
beschadiging. De accu zal de werking hervatten wanneer de spanning terug op een veilig
niveau komt. Dit duurt mogelijk een aantal seconden.
• Kortsluiting bescherming: De accu stopt onmiddellijk wanneer kortsluiting plaats vindt. Dit
voorkomt beschadiging aan de accu en de machine.

Gebruiksdoel
Accu reciprozaag voor lichte tot medium zware zaagwerkzaamheden in hout, gipsplaat, plastic,
zacht staal en non-ferro metalen
Het uitpakken van uw gereedschap
• Pak uw toestel / gereedschap uit. Inspecteer het en zorg dat u met alle kenmerken en functies
vertrouwd raakt
• Controleer of alle onderdelen aanwezig zijn en in goede staat verkeren. Als er onderdelen
ontbreken of beschadigd zijn, zorg dan dat deze vervangen worden voor u dit toestel /
gereedschap gebruikt
Voor gebruik
Het ontkoppelen van de accu
• Om de accu (10) te ontkoppelen drukt u de verlosschakels (11) aan beide zijden van de machine
in. Trek de accu uit het handvat (8)
Let op: Probeer de accu niet te ontkoppelen zonder het indrukken van de verlosschakels. De accu
en de machine raken zo mogelijk beschadigd
Het aansluiten van een opgeladen accu
1. Schuif de opgeladen accu in de onderzijde van het handvat (8) tot deze in positie klikt
Let op: Zorg ervoor dat de machine en de accu juist zijn uitgelijnd. De accu dient gemakkelijk in
de machine te schuiven. Forceer de accu niet. Wanneer de accu niet soepel in de machine schuift,
controleert u de accu, de machine gleuven en de contactpunten voordat u het opnieuw probeert
Het opzetten van de oplader
1. Ontkoppel (wanneer aangesloten) de accu van de oplader (15)
2. Sluit de PSU oplader op een netstroom contact aan
Let op: Het groene LED lampje (16) op de accueenheid knippert wanneer de oplader in staat is de
accu op te laden
WAARSCHUWING: Gebruik de oplader enkel voor het opladen van de inbegrepen accu, of voor
aangeschafte accu’s, specifiek ontworpen voor de machine
WAARSCHUWING: De oplader is enkel geschikt voor binnen gebruik en dient niet in vochtige
omstandigheden gebruikt te worden
Het opladen van de accu
WAARSCHUWING: Wanneer de instructies niet opgevolgd worden raakt de accu mogelijk
permanent beschadigd
Let op: De normale laadtijd van een 4 Ah accu bedraagt 80 minuten. Wanneer de accu voor langere
tijd ontladen is, bedraagt het opladen mogelijk langer
1. Schuif de ontladen/gedeeltelijk ontladen accu op de oplader (15)
Let op: Zorg ervoor dat de accu en de oplader juist zijn uitgelijnd. De accu dient gemakkelijk in
de oplader te schuiven. Forceer de accu niet. Wanneer de accu niet soepel op de oplader schuift,

controleert u de accu, de oplader gleuven en de contactpunten voordat u het opnieuw probeert
2. Wanneer het opladen start brandt het rode LED lampje (17)
3. Wanneer de accu volledig is opgeladen brand enkel het groene LED lampje (16)
Accu laadniveau: De accu is voorzien van een laadniveau indicator (9) (Fig. I). Druk de knop aan de
rechter zijde in om het laadniveau weer te geven. Het rechter LED duidt op een hoog laadniveau en
het linker LED duidt op een laag laadniveau
BELANGRIJK: Wanneer de machine een laag laadniveau aangeeft, stopt de machine mogelijk
tijdens gebruik. In sommige gevallen is dit gevaarlijk. Het is aanbevolen de accu te gebruiken met
een redelijk laadniveau
Opmerkingen betreft het opladen van de accu:
• De accu (10) dient bij een omgevingstemperatuur tussen de 10 en 40°C (dicht bij 20°C is ideaal)
opgeladen te worden
• Na het opladen vereist de accu een afkoelperiode van 15 minuten
• Zorg ervoor dat de oplader na het opladen van de stroombron wordt ontkoppeld en juist wordt
opgeborgen
• Laad accu’s NOOIT voor langere periodes op en berg accu’s NOOIT op wanneer deze worden
opgeladen
• De oplader (15) houdt de temperatuur en spanning van de accu constant in de gaten. Ontkoppel
de accu wanneer deze volledig is opgeladen, om de laadcyclussen te optimaliseren en het
verspillen van energie te voorkomen
• Accu’s kunnen na verloop van tijd stuk raken, individuele cellen breken wat leidt tot kortsluiting
in de accu. De oplader laadt zulke accu’s niet op. Gebruik de andere accu om de werking van de
oplader te controleren en schaf een nieuwe accu aan
• Li-ion accu’s mogen niet voor langere tijd ontladen opgeborgen worden. Dit beschadigt de
Li-ion accucellen mogelijk. Accu’s dienen volledig opgeladen (ontkoppeld van de oplader) te zijn
wanneer deze voor langere tijd opgeborgen worden
• De capaciteit van accu’s wordt na verloop van tijd lager. Na 100 laadcyclussen zullen de
gebruiksduur en de maximale koppel van de boormachine lichtelijk verkorten/verlagen. Na 500
laadcyclussen is de minimale capaciteit van de accu bereikt. Dit is normaal en duidt niet op
een foutieve accu
Let op: Dankzij de hoge stroomvraag van de motor en veiligheidsrisico’s met een volledig ontladen
accu, is het aanbevolen minimaal gebruik te maken van 2,0 Ah capaciteit accu’s. De 3,0 Ah en 4,0
Ah capaciteit accu’s zijn aanbevolen voor extra gebruiksveiligheid en een optimale gebruiksduur
Het bevestigen van een zaagblad
WAARSCHUWING: Ontkoppel de accu voordat u zaagbladen wisselt
WAARSCHUWING: Bij het hanteren van zaagbladen is het dragen van geschikte snijbestendige
handschoenen aanbevolen
WAARSCHUWING: Gebruik geen botte, gebogen of beschadigde zaagbladen
Let op: Zorg ervoor dat het bevestigde zaagblad geschikt is voor het te zagen materiaal
1. Draai de bladgleuf samenstelling (3) volledig linksom (Fig. II) en plaats de bladschacht zo ver
mogelijk in de gleuf. Voor de meeste werkzaamheden wijzen de bladtanden naar beneden
2. Laat de bladgleufkraag los
3. Trek aan het blad om te controleren of het goed vast zit. Herhaal bovenstaande stappen
wanneer het blad niet juist vergrendelt
• Voor het verwijderen van het zaagblad draait u de gleufsamenstelling linksom
Opmerkingen
• De machine gebruikt standaard zaagbladen met een ½” universele schacht
• Het blad hoort voorbij de schoen (2) te vallen en hoort lang genoeg te zijn voor het te zagen
werkstuk. Het zaagblad mag tijdens de zaagprocedure niet in het werkstuk vallen (Zie Fig. IV)
• Let bij het verwijderen van een gebroken zaagblad op scherpe randen. Gebruik wanneer nodig
een tang voor het verwijderen van een zaagblad
• Stof en zaagsel leiden mogelijk tot storing van het klemmechanisme. Verwijder het zaagblad en
houd het mechanisme in de verlosstand. Verwijder de deeltjes uit het mechanisme met behulp
van een stofzuiger of perslucht door de blad gleuf
• Het is mogelijk vereist de blad klem te draaien en heen en weer te wiebelen om het stof los te
krijgen. Na het schoonmaken smeert u het blad klemmechanisme met een smeermiddel op
grafiet basis
Bladtypes
Verschillende tandtypes zijn weergegeven in Fig. III
(A) is een algemeen zaagblad met bi directionele tanden, voor het zagen van boomtakken. Het
zaagblad zaagt snel, in beide richtingen en duwt de tak van de schoen (2) af
(B) is voorzien van een erg fijne tandsteek en is geschikt voor het zagen van metaal. Het zaagblad
verwijdert bij elke slag een erg kleine hoeveelheid materiaal. Bij het zagen van bijvoorbeeld een
pijpleiding, wordt deze niet van de schoen (1) afgeduwd
(C) een typisch houtzaagblad, wat enkel in de richting van de machine zaagt en niet van de
machine af
Wanneer u het verschil tussen de zaagbladtypen weet en begrijpt wanneer welk blad type gebruikt
hoort te worden, is het gebruik van de machine vele malen veiliger en efficiënter. Maak enkel
gebruik van een blad met dubbele zaagrichting wanneer dit veilig is.
• Maak enkel gebruik van zaagbladen met een enkele zaagrichting wanneer de machine enkel
met één hand vastgehouden kan worden
Gebruik
WAARSCHUWING: De geschikte beschermende uitrusting, waaronder een veiligheidsbril, een
stofmasker, handschoenen en gehoorbescherming, dient te allen tijde gedragen te worden
WAARSCHUWING: Bij het zagen van houten werkstukken dienen alle vreemde voorwerpen als
spijkers en schroeven verwijdert te zijn
WAARSCHUWING: Zaag geen materialen met een zaagblad ongeschikt voor dat materiaal.
Gebruik NOOIT een bot of beschadigd zaagblad
Let op: Klem het werkstuk wanneer mogelijk op de werkbank vast
Het in- en uitschakelen van de machine
1. Houd de machine stevig, met beide handen bij het handvat (7) en de cilinder grip (4) vast voor
het behouden van een volledige controle over de machine
2. Zorg ervoor dat de machine niet in contact staat met het werkstuk wanneer u de machine
inschakelt
3. Houdt de uit-stand vergrendelknop (5) ingedrukt
4. Knijp de trekker schakelaar (6) in om de machine te starten
Let op: De snelheid van het blad is aan te passen door het verhogen of verlagen van de druk op de
trekker schakelaar
5. Laat de trekker schakelaar los om de machine te stoppen
WAARSCHUWING: Verwijder het zaagblad uit de zaagsnede voordat u de machine uitschakelt
WAARSCHUWING: Wacht tot het zaagblad volledig stil staat voordat u de machine neerlegt.
Ontkoppel de machine gebruik van de stroombron
Variabele machine snelheid
Let op: Dankzij de variabele snelheidsfunctie is de machine geschikt voor het gebruik op
verschillende materialen en werkstukken. De machinesnelheid is aan te passen door middel van het
verhogen of verlagen van de druk op de trekker schakelaar (6)
WAARSCHUWING: Pas de snelheid aan, passend bij het te bewerken materiaal. Bij het zagen in
metaal dient u een geschikte zaag/koelingsvloeistof te gebruiken
Let op: Wanneer u enigszins twijfelt over de juiste machinesnelheid verwijst u naar de instructies
van de zaagbladfabrikant en volgt u de specifieke materiaalinstructies op
Het maken van algemene zaagsneden
1. Markeer de zaaglijn
2. Zorg ervoor dat het materiaal goed is vastgeklemd. Kleine werkstukken dienen in een
bankschroef geklemd te worden
3. Houd de machine stevig, met beide handen bij het handvat (7) en de cilindergrip (4) vast

4. Zorg ervoor dat het zaagblad vrij is van obstructies en houdt het verlengsnoer (wanneer gebruik
gemaakt van) te allen tijde uit het pad van het zaagblad
5. Knijp de trekker schakelaar in en laat het zaagblad op volledige snelheid komen
6. Plaats de voet op het werkstuk en begint het zagen
WAARSCHUWING: Oefen slechts genoeg druk uit om de machine te laten zagen. Laat de
machine en het zaagblad het werk doen, forceer de machine NIET. Overmatige druk resulteert
mogelijk in het buigen of breken van het zaagblad
Het maken van invalsneden
WAARSCHUWING: Het maken van invalsneden is een geavanceerde techniek met een hoger
risico. Invalsneden dienen enkel door bevoegde en ervaren personen uitgevoerd te worden
WAARSCHUWING: Invalsneden dienen enkel in zachte materialen als hout en spaanplaat
gemaakt te worden. Probeer geen invalsneden te maken in harde materialen als metaal. Maak enkel
gebruik van zaagbladen, geschikt voor het maken van invalsneden. Bij enige twijfel verwijst u naar
de instructies van de zaagbladfabrikant
WAARSCHUWING: Check beide zijden van het te zagen werkstuk. Zorg ervoor dat het werkstuk
vrij is van vreemde voorwerpen. Bij het zagen in muren, plafonds en vloeren dient u bewust te zijn
van aanwezige leidingen en kabels. Schakel alle relevante stroombrekers en gas- en watertoevoer
af
WAARSCHUWING: Blinde invalsneden in muren, plafonds of vloeren resulteren mogelijk in
serieus letsel en schade aan eigendommen
1. Markeer de zaaglijn
2. Selecteer een punt op de lijn en plaats de punt van het zaagblad op dat punt
3. Rust de voorrand van de voet op het werkstuk, zodat het blad niet in contact staat met het
werkstuk (Hoofdafbeelding of Fig. VI)
4. Houd de machine stevig, met beide handen bij het handvat (7) en de cilindergrip (4) vast
5. Knijp de trekker schakelaar (6) volledig in voor maximale snelheid en laat het zaagblad op volle
snelheid komen
6. Verlaag het zaagblad langzaam tot het in contact komt met het werkstuk
7. Zaag langzaam verder tot het zaagblad door de volledige dikte van het werkstuk gegaan is (als
afgebeeld in Fig. VI)
8. Hervat de zaagsnede als normaal
Opmerkingen:
• Gebruik dezelfde techniek bij het opnieuw ingaan van een bestaande invalsnede tot een sectie
van materiaal verwijderd is zodat ingang aan de rand van het werkstuk mogelijk is
• Wanneer deze techniek niet succesvol is dankzij het zaagblad of de hardheid van het materiaal,
dan gebruikt u een conventionele methode die gebruikt wordt bij het zagen van metaal. Boor
één of meerde gaten, breder dan het zaagblad, en start de snede vanuit het geboorde gat
Metaal zaagtips
Let op: De machine is geschikt voor het zagen van metalen, als plaatstaal, leidingen, stalen staven,
messing en koper
• Maak enkel gebruik van een zaagblad, geschikt voor het zagen van metaal
• Zaag voorzichtig en zorg ervoor dat u het zaagblad niet buigt of draait. Forceer het blad niet
• Bij het zagen van metaal en staal is het gebruik van een geschikte zaag/koelingsvloeistof
aanbevolen. Dit hout het blad koeler, verlengt de levensduur en maakt het zagen efficiënter
• Klem het werkstuk stevig vast en zaag zo dicht mogelijk bij het klempunt om trillingen te
minimaliseren
• Klem stalen staven en hoekmetaal stevig in een bankschroef vast en zaag dichtbij het klempunt
• Bij het zagen van metaal klemt u het werkstuk tussen spaanplaten om trillingen te
minimaliseren en het scheuren van het metaal te voorkomen
Accessoires
• Verschillende accessoires, waaronder materiaal specifieke zaagbladen, inval zaagbladen
en andere accessoires, zijn verkrijgbaar bij uw GMC handelaar. Reserve onderdelen zijn
verkrijgbaar via www.toolsparesonline.com
Onderhoud
• De machine bestaat uit hoogwaardige materialen en maakt gebruik van de nieuwste intelligente
elektronica welke de machine en alle onderdelen beschermd. Bij normaal gebruik gaat de
machine erg lang mee
Schoonmaak
• Houd uw machine te allen tijde schoon. Vuil en stof doen de interne onderdelen snel slijten, wat
de levensduur aanzienlijk vermindert. Maak de machine met een zachte borstel of droge doek
schoon. Gebruik wanneer mogelijk zuivere, droge perslucht om door de luchtgaten te blazen
Opberging
• Berg de machine op een droge en veilige plek, buiten het bereik van kinderen op
Verwijdering
Bij de verwijdering van elektrische machines neemt u de nationale voorschriften in acht.
• Elektrische en elektronische apparaten en accu’s mogen niet met uw huishoudelijk afval worden
weggegooid
• Neem contact op met uw gemeente voor informatie betreffende de verwijdering van elektrisch
gereedschap
