with the manufacturer's instructions.

produce heat.
9Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or ground-
ing-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider
than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third
grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provid-
ed for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your
outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete
outlet.
10 Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched
particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point
where they exit from the apparatus.
11 Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufac-
turer.
12 Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table
specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When
a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus
combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
13 Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when
unused for long periods of time.
14 Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is
required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way,
such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been
spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus
has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate
normally, or has been dropped.
• Do not expose this apparatus to drips or splashes.
• Do not place any objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on
the apparatus.
• Do not install this apparatus in a confined space such as a
book case or similar unit.
• The apparatus draws nominal non-operating power from the
AC outlet with its POWER or STANDBY/ON switch not in the ON
position.
• The apparatus should be located close enough to the AC
outlet so that you can easily grasp the power cord plug at any
time.
• The main plug is used as the disconnect device, the discon-
nect device shall remain readily operable.
• If the product uses batteries (including a battery pack or
installed batteries), they should not be exposed to sunshine, fire
or excessive heat.
• Caution should be taken when using earphones or head-
phones with the product because excessive sound pressure
(volume) from earphones or head- phones can cause hearing
loss.

INTRODUCTION AND FEATURES
The B-5.1 features four high precision custom made for Gold Note by GRW-Germany micro ball bearings
designed to enable very low noise quality to get the smoothest musical details.
The vertical ball bearings are pivoted through custom stainless steel threaded bolts manually adjusted,
while the horizontal movement is driven by two micro ball bearings directly inserted in the main rectified
pivot of the arm runs into the 23mm diameter arm shaft from which the arm can be secured to the
turntable plinth.
The Tone-Arm exclusively features a double counterweight to set up most of the market phono cartridge up
to 15 gram mass. Optionally other extra weights are available to handle phono cartridges with higher
mass.
The B-5.1 effective length of 242mm with 19mm overhang let the arm easily installed in any turntable
available on the market.

Step 3
Once the tone arm is inserted block it through the hex-bolt of the
collar after adjusted the correct VTA (that requires the cartridge is
installed).
Below the two examples of Gold Note collar, on the left side the
standard GN collar with three 3mm hex bolt to block with the
1,5mm Allen Wrench supplied. On the right side ten the Out of Axis
drilled GN Collar features the 4mm Hex-Bolt to be block with the
2mm Allen Wrench supplied
Step 2
The DIN female connector is equipped in the tone arm pillar
and the DIN male connector of the Phono Cable supplied.
refer to the ground slot to find the right inserting position
Step 1
Before inserting the tone arm into the arm collar of the
turntable plug the DIN connetor of the supplied Phono
Cable eventually inserting it first into the arm collar as
suggested in the picture below.

- Adjusting Lift Bent Bar Hex-Bolt. The Lift Bent Bar can be adjusted loosing the hex-bolt with the
1,5mm Allen wrench supplied in the tone arm accessories.
- Tone-Arm Large Counterweight to manually set up the main tracking force depending on the phono
cartridge used.
- Tone-Arm Small Counterweight to finely set up the tracking force on the phono cartridge.
- Shell Azimuth Adjustment with the 0,9mm Allen Wrench supplied to eventually correct the
right alignment of the tone-arm head-shell
Once the right position of the counterweights are set up the counterweight maybe
solidally blocked with hex bolt indicated in the picture as RED spots with the help of the
proper Allen Wrench supplied in the tone arm accessories.
Please Note: To adjust the wanted tracking force is necessary to have a precion scale (not included)
Installing the Anti-Skate system:
After the insertion of Anti-Skate Bullet Counterweight (3) into the Anti-Skate Nylon Wire (1) pass through the
other side nylon wire into the small Cylinder Eye (2) and make a knot to block the wire in it as the pitcure shows
above. Lay the wire across the external groove of the Anti-Skate Bar (4). If necessary it is possible increasing
the friction stepping the Nylon Wire on the internal groove of the Anti-Skate Bar (4)
- Anti-Skate Nylon Wire with lead stopping spot supplied in the tone arm accessories.

ANTI-SKATE, VTA & HEADSHELL AZIMUTH Setup
AZIMUTH
After the cartridge is properly installed on the tone
arm adjust the Azimuth of the shell with the supplied
0,9mm Allen Wrench supplied.
The correct Azimuth enhances high quality audio
performance.
CYLNDER EYE
Insert the supplied anti-skate weight
(3)[see previous page] into the
anti-skate Nylon then pass the Nylon
Wire through the micro hole of the
Cylinder Eye indicated here with the
red arrow. Make a not to block the
wire and lay it of the outer groove as
shown below
VTA SETUP
Loose the indicated Hex-bolt of the arm
collar with the 1,5mm Allen Wrench sup-
plied in the tone-arm accessories, to lift up
and down the arm correctly adjusting the
VTA as necessary.

To validate the warranty is necessary to register the unit on the Gold Note
internet web site within 15 days from the purchase on the appropriate area of
the web site: http://www.goldnote.it/
If the unit is not registered correctly or is been purchased from a different coun-
try of the purchaser origin/home the unit will not be covered by any warranty
and the eventual registration refused.
The warranty does not does not cover in any case: Tubes, Phono Car-
tridge Styli, Rubber Belts and Batteries.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
All GOLD NOTE® products are the result of meticulous technological research,
and consequently their correct functioning is guaranteed. In spite of this it is
possible that problems may emerge which non-specialist users cannot resolve.
In this case, contact your dealer who will advise you on how to resolve the prob-
lem.
Do not return any object directly to the factory or to the national distributor or
without being authorized to do so. In such cases both GOLD NOTE® and the
distribution agents operating within your territory decline responsibility of any
kind.

CLEANING THE UNIT • Use EXTREME care and ONLY very softcotton
cloth to clean the unit.
Any acid will irreversibly damage the unit fine
finishes.
Do not use any alcohol to clean the unit. Only
dry cloth is allowed

• Be sure to always use shielded
cables for the amp connections.
