Please read the following precautions carefully.
Safety Instructions and Precautions:
- Power supply network connection (100-240V ~ 50/60Hz)
•Connect this receiver only to the type of network indicated on the label.
•Unplug the receiver from the electrical outlet before beginning any maintenance or installation.
- Connecting to antenna
•Disconnect the receiver from the network before connecting or disconnecting the cable from the12satellite antenna.
•Failure to do so may result in damage to the receiver or connected equipment.
- Connecting to a TV
•Unplug the receiver from the electrical outlet before connecting or disconnecting the cable
from the TV.
Failure to comply may result in damage to the receiver or the TV.
- Liquids
• The receiver must not be exposed to liquids of ANY kind!
- Cleaning
•Unplug the receiver from the electrical outlet before cleaning it.
•To remove dust, use a light damp cloth, without solvents.
- Ventilation
•Do not place the receiver on furniture or carpets.
•Do not place any objects on top of the receiver.
•Do not restrict the air circulation around the receiver.
- Earthing
• The antenna cable must be grounded.
- Foreign objects
•Do not insert anything through the openings in the receiver since you can touch a
hazardous voltage point or damage the receiver.
- Location
•Use the receiver indoors, to avoid damaging it by weather.
•Do not install the receiver near a radiator or any other heat source.
•Dropping the product may result in personal injury and serious damage to the receiver.
- Lightning, storm
•Unplug the receiver from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna during a lightning storm
or when unused for long periods of time.
•This will prevent damage to the receiver / circuit due to lightning or voltage fluctuations.
- Repair
•If it is necessary to repair the receiver, ensure the qualification of the service.
•Unauthorized repairs can lead to additional damage.

- INSTALLATION
Connection antenna
Connect your satellite antenna to LNB IN
Using HDTV cable
For digital television, it is recommended to connect the receiver with an HDMI cable.
In case the TV has an HDMI input it is advisable to use it to get best image quality.
Using RCA cable
If your TV has no HDMI input you can connect the receiver to the TV using the RCA cable.
- START USING
Switch ON STB
Plug the STB power adapter into an electrical outlet.
Press the power button (red) on the remote control.
First installation and channels search
The first time you turn on the receiver, you will see the First install menu: 16
In this menu, you can select the menu language and go to the antenna setup:

In the antenna setup menu, you must select the satellites available to you, set the corresponding
LNB settings and DiSEqC settings. Then you can start the search by pressing the red button.
When the search is over, you will see a list of the channels found.
Unicable
The Alpha X supports Unicable LNBs. Please go to the Installtion menu for the settings
if you connect the receiver to a Unicable LNB.

Channels editor
After searching, you can edit the channel list if you want.
To do this, go to the Channel Editor:
Using the function buttons, you can edit the channel list according to your preferences.
Audio/Video settings
If necessary, you can adjust the format and resolution (quality) of the image, and also
configure the digital audio output using the Audio / Video settings menu:

- Access password
By default, the factory password is 0000.
- EPG (Electronic Program Guide –TV Guide)
TV Guide: Electronic program guide for the week ahead is provided by the operator for each
satellite channel. To enter the program, press the EPG button on the remote control. There are
2 options for displaying the TV guide: Vertical and horizontal.
- Mediaplayer
The Alpha X allows you to play high-quality media files from a USB drive or your local
network using DLNA.
- DLNA
The Alpha X allows you to work with DLNA. There is no need to make any special settings: The
DLNA function is enabled and works constantly when the receiver is on.

- Connecting to the Internet
To connect to the network, the Alpha X is equipped with an Ethernet/LAN-port and also supports
the connection of external USB-WiFi or USB-3G adaptors.
- Software update
Software updates for the Alpha X can be found on the Internet at: www.golden-interstar.de
OR in the receiver menu under “online update”.
