RADIO FOR THE FIRST TIME
FEATURES AND CONTROLS
1. Connect the power cord to the
radio via the DC socket at the
back panel.
5. Then the display will switch to
standby mode and display the clock.
The time will be automatically set
after tuning in the radio.
4. After power up, your display will light
up and the display will show the
following:
6. Now press the “STANDY” button on
the top panel to turn the radio on.
7. The receiver will boot into DAB mode.

1. To select DAB mode, press the
“MODE” button, the receiver will

“N” is the number of services currently

of the frequency(“11B”, “L20” etc.)

after a scan, the receiver will display

the receiver will automatically fully
scan all 41 band III ensemble

Press the “INFO” button when
your listening to the radio. The bottom
line will change in the following
sequence:Scrolling text - Music type -
Channel group name - Signal bar -
Time/Date - Scrolling text.
Please Note: If the radio station is not
transmitting extra information then eg
<RadioText> will be displayed
your desired station, on this one
frequency, there will be several
stations, Press the ▲or▼ button
to select. Press “SELECT” button
again for exiting manual tune.
1. You can store upto 5 of your
favorite stations to the preset keys.
This will enable you to get quick
access to your favorite station.
2. There are 5 presets in FM and 5
presets in DAB.

STORE PRESET
After this time, the receiver will return
to its idle state.
Recalling a stored station
1. Once you have saved a station to
one of the presets, you can recall it
by pressing and releasing the
corresponding preset key.
2. If you saved radio 1 to Preset 1,
then just press the button “1”.
3. If there is no service associated
with the preset, when you press the
button 1-5, the receiver will display
the following (where “N” is the
preset number and XXX is either
“DAB” or “FM”) for 2 seconds:

3. To store a preset, you must first
tune to your desired station.
4. To store the station, hold button
“1”-“5” until the receiver display
preset N stored. (where “N” is the
preset number and XXX is either
“DAB” or “FM”):
5. If the DAB service being stored is
a ‘hidden’ (see Secondary and
Data Services in DAB) service,
it will not be stored, and the
following will be displayed for
2 seconds:

4. Press the ▲or▼ button to select
the station between the available
DAB stations. Then press
“MENU/SELECT” button to select

1. To select FM, press the “MODE”
button, the receiver will switch
to FM mode. It will automatically
tune to the nearest station. The
display will show the frequency.

2. For manual search, press the
▲or▼ buttons repeatedly. To
activate auto search up, press or
hold the ▲ button, To activate
auto search down, press or hold
the ▼ button.
3. For Auto tune, press the “AUTO
TUNE/PLAY MODE” button, the
receiver will enter the ‘auto tune’
state and carry out an upward
scan and stop once a station has
been found. Hold the “AUTO
TUNE/PLAY MODE” button, the
receiver will enter the ‘auto tune’
state and carry out a downward
scan and stop once a station has
been found.
Press the “INFO” button when you are
listening to the FM radio. The bottom
line will change in the following
sequence: Programme Type ->
Signal Strength -> Date>Frequency
->Audio Mode->Radio Text>

1.Insert SD card into the SD/MMC
card slot at top panel of main unit.
Press the “MODE” button to switch
the mode to SD mode. If there is a
SD card detected, the receiver
enters the SD mode. If there is no
SD card detected, the receiver will
display the following:
SD MODE (SD mode is the
mode after iPod mode)

FM Audio Mode
The FM Audio mode can be set to
either "Auto" or "Mono".
If the FM signal is poor auto mode will
select "auto (mono)". Sometimes a
medium strength signal will cause
the auto mode to keep switching from
stereo to mono. If this happens then
select mono mode.
Press the INFO button until "Auto
(Stereo)" is displayed then press
select to change.

IPOD MODE (iPod is the
mode after FM mode)

2.MP3 is the only format supported
in this model, so all files with an
extension other than ‘mp3’ are
hidden.
3.If there are no MP3 files on the SD
card, the display will show

last file or folder in the current
folder.
5.Press the ▼ button to review the
next file or folder in the current
folder.
6.Press the “MENU/SELECT” button
once on a folder to enter the folder.
7.Press the “MENU/SELECT”
button once again or press the
button once on a file to start play of
the song. Press the button once
again to pause the play.
1.Select the iPod universal dock
adaptor fitting to your iPod model.
The adapter number is on the back
of the adapter.
2.Install the adapter with two tabs
facing the front, by pushing it down
in the universal dock at the main
unit top.
3.To remove the adapter, press at
the back of the adapter and pull it up.
Note: 1.Only the universal dock
adapter Nos.3-10 are supplier with
this model.
2.Ensure that you use the universal
dock adapter corresponding to your
iPod in order to ensure that it is
installed in a stable way and that
the electrical contact is good.

button to select previous or
next song ,hold or button to
forward and reverse track.
9. Press the “INFO/MENU/EXIT”
button once to exit the current level
of folder to the previous level.
10.Press the INFO/MENU/EXIT button
once again to stop the current play
and return to the idle state.
11.Press the “AUTO TUNE/PLAY MODE”
button toggle through the playback
modes “Rep One”,“Rep All” and
“Random” in a circular manner.

1.With correct ipod universal dock
adapter installed, gently dock the
ipod into the unit universal dock.
2.Press the “MODE” button to switch
the mode to Ipod. If there is no Ipod
detected, the receiver will go into
the DAB mode. When the receiver
is in idle state, it will display
“Connected”.
8.When a song is selected, press
once or press the
“INFO/MENU/EXIT” button once
again to playback the music. Press
once again to pause the play.
9.During playback, press or to
select next or previous song. Hold
or button for fast forward or rewind
play.
3.When docked, the Ipod battery will
be charged until it is fully charged.
4.Press the “INFO/MENU/EXIT”
button to access the Ipod menu.
5.Press ▲/▼button to select the
function.
6.Press the “INFO/MENU/EXIT”
button once to confirm the function.
7.You can press the “MENU/SELECT”
button to return to previous menu.

11.Alternately, you can control your ipod
directly for play.
PLEASE NOTE: The hold switch on
your iPod will not effect controls from
the unit.

TO TURN OFF THE ALARM
3.Press the SLEEP button once again
to set the sleep time, the display will
be shown:
1. When the alarm is triggered, the
selected Alarm type will be on. To
stop the Alarm, press the
“STANDY” button. This will stop the
current function but will not cancel
the program of the alarm and it will
activate at the
pre-programmed time.
2. Press the “SNOOZE” button. This
will delay sounding for 8 minutes.
3.The Alarm function will deactivate
if an alarm has been sounding for
1 hour without being cancelled or
put into a snooze routine.
SETTING THE SLEEP
1.During normal radio operation,
when the alarm is not ringing,
pressing the “SLEEP” button once,
will switch to sleep time state menu.
2.Press ▲or▼ button to turn the sleep
function on or off.
AUDIO OUTPUT
You can connect this unit to an
amplifier using an RCA lead
(not supplied).
The output is volume adjustable,
audio from the unit can be cut by
pluging in earphones.

decrease the time.
5.Count down starts immediately upon
setting the Sleep Timer State to ON.
6.When the alarm is ringing or in
STANDY mode, press the SLEEP
mode will have no effect.
SETTING THE ALARM
1. To set the alarm, press the
“ALARM” button once, the display
will be shown:

time to exit the alarm time set state
and return to previous state which
the first ALARM button was pressed.
Or after 5 seconds time out condition
will automatically return to previous
state which the first ALARM button
was pressed.

5. Press the “ALARM” button a third
time, to enter the alarm time set
state in minutes, shown below;
