Usage
Thispumpmust eusedaspartofaSaniForcedrum
or tote unloader system. Refer to the appropriate
system manuals for operation instructions of this
pump when installed in those systems.
Cleaning Preparation
WARN NG
PRESSURIZED FLUID HAZARD
This equipment stays pressurized until pressure
is relieved manually. To help prevent serious
injury from moving parts, or from pressurized fluid,
such as skin injection, splashing in the eyes or on
skin, follow the Pressure Relief Procedure in your
system manual when you stop pumping and efore
you clean, check, or service the equipment.
PERSONAL PRO EC IVE EQUIPMEN
Wear appropriate protective equipment when
in the work area to help prevent serious injury,
including eye injury, hearing loss, or inhalation of
toxic fumes.
This procedure involves thoroughly disassem ling
and cleaning the individual parts in the pump lower.
Prior to performing these procedures:
1. Flush the pump and relieve pressure as
descri ed in the system manuals.
2. Disconnect all hoses.
3. Remove the pump from the system.
Notes:
• Be sure to follow your national and state sanitary
standard codes and local regulations.
• Use appropriate cleaning and disinfecting agents,
at intervals appropriate for product processed.
• Follow cleaning product manufacturer’s
instructions.
Cleaning the Air Motor
1. Perform Cleaning Preparation, page 3 .
2. Remove air motor air supply and exhaust fittings
(14, 32).
3. Loosen the hand screw (18) and remove the
upper shield (9).
4. Clean thoroughly the surface etween the upper
and lower shields. Replace upper shield, hand
nut, and air fittings.
5. Reassem le the air motor
6. Clean the pump lower. See
Priming Piston Service, page 4 .

Disconnect the Pump

system manuals, disconnect all hoses, and remove
thepumpfromthesystem.
1. Perform Cleaning Preparation, page 3 .
2. Loosen the coupling nut (6) and lower far enough
to remove the coupling collars (5).
3. Release the upper clamp (15) holding the
displacement pump to the tie rod plate (3).
4. Slide the pump down from the air motor. Remove
the gasket (16).
Note: Be careful not to scratch the displacement
rod.

Disassemble the Pump
NO E: Pump Repair Kit 24G550 is availa le.
Purchase the kit separately. Kit parts are marked
with an * in the parts section. See Priming Piston
Displacement Pump Model 25N005, page 13.
1. Remove the retaining pin (122) from the
connecting rod (104). Slide off the priming piston
(121).
2. Release the lower clamp (115) to remove the
inlet valve housing (102) from the pump cylinder
(101). Remove the gasket (116).
3. Remove the poppet (119), packings (120),
earing (118), and valve stop (117) off the
connecting rod (104).

4. Push the displacement rod (103) out through the
ottom of the cylinder (101).
5. Remove the earing (112), packing (113),
packing housing (114), and o-ring (110).
6. Remove the retaining pin (106) and o-rings
(105). Pull the connecting rod (104) from the
displacement rod (103). Remove the all (107),
piston ring (108), seal (111), and o-rings (109,
110).
7. Clean and inspect all parts. Refer to
Cleaning the Air Motor, page 3 .Replacethe
parts as necessary.
Reassemble After Cleaning
Note: Any damaged parts must e replaced.
Note: Lu ricate the o-rings, throat packings, and
piston seals with appropriate waterproof sanitary
lu ricant.
1. Wash all pump parts with an appropriate cleaning
solution at the cleaning product manufacturer’s
recommended temperature and concentration.
2. Rinse all pump parts again with water and allow
them to dry.
3. Inspect all pump parts and reclean if needed.
4. Immerseallpumppartsinanappropriate
sanitizer efore assem ly. Take the pump parts
out of the sanitizer one- y-one as needed.
5. Install the v- lock packing (113) and earing
(112) in the packing housing (114). The lips of
the packing must face down into the housing,
and the lip of the earing must face up. Install the
o-ring (110) on the outside of the housing. Place
the packing housing in the top of the cylinder.
6. Install the o-rings (109, 110) on the piston seal
(111). Install the seal on the piston valve housing
at the top of the connecting rod (104). Install the
piston ring (108).
7. Place the all (107) on the seat of the housing
(104). Install the displacement rod (103) over the
top of the connecting rod so the holes in oth
parts align. Secure with the retaining pin (106)
and o-rings (105).
8. Slide the displacement rod up through the
cylinder so it protrudes from the packing housing
(114).
9. Slide the valve stop (117) and earing (118) onto
the connecting rod (104). Install the packings
(120) in the poppet (119) and slide onto the
priming piston rod.
10. Install the gasket (116) on the inlet valve housing
(102). Secure the housing to the cylinder (101)
with the clamp (115). Slide the priming piston
(121) onto the rod. Install the retaining pin (122)
in the connecting rod (104).

1. Hold the reducer fitting with a wrench. Use a
spanner wrench (T)* to loosen the coupling nut.
* A Graco spanner wrench tool (112887) is
availa le.
2. Lower the coupling nut enough to remove the
coupling collars.
3. Release the clamp (C) holding the displacement
pump (L) to the tie rod plate (P).

Disassemble the Pump
NO E: Pump Repair Kit 24G551 is availa le.
Purchase the kit separately. Kit parts are marked
with an * in the parts section. See Dou le Ball
Displacement Pump Model 25N006, page 15
1. Remove the inlet housing (115) y removing the
retaining pins (116, 118) and the o-rings (105)
and pulling the valve out of the cylinder (101).
Disassem le the valve. Clean and inspect the
parts.
2. Push the displacement rod (103) out through the
ottom of the cylinder (101). Remove the piston
housing (104) y removing the retaining pin (106)
and the o-rings (105) and pulling the piston from
the displacement rod. Disassem le, clean and
inspect the parts.
3. Take the packing housing (114) out of the
cylinder (101) and remove the earing (112),
packing (113), and o-ring (110).
4. Clean and inspect all parts. Refer to
Cleaning the Air Motor, page 3 .Replacethe
parts as necessary.

Reassemble After Cleaning
Note: Any damaged parts must e replaced.

(112) in the packing housing (114). The lips of
the packing must face down into the housing,
and the lip of the earing must face up. Install the
o-ring (110) on the outside of the housing. Place
the packing housing in the top of the cylinder.
6. Install the o-rings (109, 110) on the piston
seal (111). Install the seal on the piston valve
housing. Install the piston ring (108).
7. Place the all (107) on the seat of the piston
housing (104). Install the housing in the
displacement rod (103) so the holes in oth parts
align. Secure with the retaining pin (106) and
o-rings (105).
8. Slide the displacement rod up through the
cylinder (101) so it protrudes from the packing
housing (114).
9. Place the all (119) on the seat of the inlet
housing (115). Install the o-ring (110) on the
outsideofthehousing.Slidethevalvestop(117)
into the holes in the housing.
10. Insert the inlet valve housing (115) into the
cylinder (101), aligning the holes in oth parts.
Secure with the retaining pins (116, 117) and
o-rings (105).

Graco warrants all equipment referenced in this document which is manufactured y Graco and earing its
name to e free from defects in material and workmanship on the date of sale to the original purchaser for
use. With the exception of any special, extended, or limited warranty pu lished y Graco, Graco will, for a
period of twelve months from the date of sale, repair or replace any part of the equipment determined
y Graco to e defective. This warranty applies only when the equipment is installed, operated and
maintained in accordance with Graco’s written recommendations.
This warranty does not cover, and Graco shall not e lia le for general wear and tear, or any malfunction,
damage or wear caused y faulty installation, misapplication, a rasion, corrosion, inadequate or improper
maintenance, negligence, accident, tampering, or su stitution of non-Graco component parts. Nor shall
Graco e lia le for malfunction, damage or wear caused y the incompati ility of Graco equipment
with structures, accessories, equipment or materials not supplied y Graco, or the improper design,
manufacture, installation, operation or maintenance of structures, accessories, equipment or materials
not supplied y Graco.
This warranty is conditioned upon the prepaid return of the equipment claimed to e defective to an
authorized Graco distri utor for verification of the claimed defect. If the claimed defect is verified, Graco
will repair or replace free of charge any defective parts. The equipment will e returned to the original
purchaser transportation prepaid. If inspection of the equipment does not disclose any defect in material
or workmanship, repairs will e made at a reasona le charge, which charges may include the costs of
parts, la or, and transportation.
