inthefollowing pages areapproximate.Unlikethecon-
trolledenvironmentinsideyourkitchen,variables includ-
ingoutside temperatures,direction andconditionsof
wind,as well as grill location will affectyourgrill'sheat
distribution.Because these conditionsvary,and no two
backyards arealike,weofferthese tipsasgeneral
guidelines foryourreference.Werecommend you moni-
toryourgrill closelyand rotatefoodsas neededtoprevent
overcooking and ensurethemostdeliciousresultsevery
time.
Topreheatmainburners,light your grill on, lowerthe
Lidandfollowtherecommendedtimes below.
Forhigh temperaturecooking,preheatgrill10to15
minutes.
Forlowtemperaturecooking,preheatgrill 3-5
minutes.
Toslowcook,preheatingisnotnecessary.

Beforecooking on yourgas grill forthefirsttime,you
should"burnoff"thegrill toeliminateanyodor orforeign
matter. Ignitethemainburners,lowertheLid,and oper-
ategrill on setting for10 to15 minutes.
CAUTION:Operatingyourgrillonthesettingforlonger

Never coverthecooking grids,bottomofgrill bowlor
Grease Receptaclewithcharcoal,aluminumfoil,sand
oranysubstancethatcanabsorbgrease.
Beforeeach use ofyourgrill: InspecttheGrease
Receptacleand insideoftheGrillBowltobesure
thereisnoexcessive greaseanddebrisbuildup.
CleantheGreaseReceptacleandinsideoftheGrill
Bowlfrequentlytoeliminategrease/debrisbuild-up
and topreventgrease fires.
