OVERVIEW
This long range Wi-Fi access point is designed to provide extended cov-
erage support and is ideal for outdoor Wi-Fi solutions thanks to its wa-
terproof casing and heat resistant technology. The GWN7630LR comes
equipped with dual-band 4x4:4 MU-MIMO technology and a sophisticat-
ed antenna design for maximum network throughput and extended Wi-
Fi coverage range of up to 300 meters. To ensure easy installation and
management, the GWN7630LR uses a controller-less distributed network
management design in which the controller is embedded within the prod-
uct’s web user interface. The GWN7630LR is also supported by GWN.
Cloud, Grandstream’s free cloud Wi-Fi management platform. It is the
ideal Wi-Fi AP for voice-over-Wi-Fi deployments and o󰀨ers a seamless
connection with Grandstream’s Wi-Fi-capable IP phones. With support
for advanced QoS, low-latency real-time applications, mesh networks,
captive portals, 200+ concurrent clients per AP and dual Gigabit network
ports with PoE/PoE+, the GWN7630LR is an ideal Wi-Fi access point for
medium wireless network deployments with medium-to-high user density.

POWERING AND CONNECTING THE GWN7630LR
PRECAUTIONS
• Do not attempt to open, disassemble, or modify the device.
• Do not expose this device to temperatures outside range of -30 °C to
60 °C for operating and -30 °C to 70 °C for storage.
• Do not expose the GWN7630LR to environments outside of the fol-
lowing humidity range: 10-90% RH (non-condensing).
• Do not power cycle your GWN7630LR access point during system
boot up or rmware upgrade. You may corrupt rmware images and
cause the unit to malfunction.
GWN7630LR can be powered on using PoE/PoE+ switch using follow-
ing steps:
Step 1: Plug a RJ45 Ethernet cable into the network port of GWN-
7630LR.

Pole Mount
1. Connect the Ethernet cable (RJ45) to the correct ports of your GWN-
7630LR and insert the cover bracket.
2. Connect each antenna to an antenna connector by rotating it clock-
wise.
3. Attach the Base Bracket with screws (PM 3.0 x 7) on the back of
GWN7630LR access point.

4. Drill four holes on the wall referring to the positions of the ones on the
Base Bracket. Then, x an expansion screw in each hole.
5. Attach the GWN7630LR access point by securing the Base Bracket
with the expansion screws on the wall.

1. Connect the Ethernet cable (RJ45) to the correct ports of your GWN-
7630LR and insert the cover bracket.
2. Connect each antenna to an antenna connector by rotating it clock-
wise.
3. Attach the Base Bracket with screws (PM 3.0 x 7) on the back of
GWN7630LR access point.
4. Open the metal straps by turning the locking mechanism count-
er-clockwise. You can loosen it by hand or use a athead screwdriver.
5. Straighten out the end of the metal straps and slide it through the back
of the base bracket.
6. Wrap the metal strap around the pole and use a athead screwdriver
to tighten the locking mechanism by turning it clockwise.

CONNECT TO GWN7630LR DEFAULT Wi-Fi NETWORK
GWN7630LR can be used as standalone access point out of box, or after
factory reset with Wi-Fi enabled by default.
After powering the GWN7630LR and connecting it to the network, GWN-
7630LR will broadcast a default SSID based on its MAC address
GWN[MAC’s last 6 digits] and a random password.
Note: GWN7630LR’s default SSID and password information are print-
ed on the sticker at the back of the unit.
A computer connected to the GWN7630LR’s SSID, or to the same net-
work as the GWN7630LR can discover and access its conguration inter-
face using one of the below methods:
Method 1: Discover GWN7630LR using its MAC Address
1. Locate the MAC address on the MAC tag of the unit, which is on the
underside of the device, or on the package.
2. From a computer connected to same network as the GWN7630LR,
type in following address using GWN7630LR’s MAC address on your
browser https://gwn_<mac>.local
Example: If a GWN7630LR has the MAC address 00:0B:82:8C:4D:F8,
this unit can be accessed by typing https://gwn_000b828c4df8.local on
the browser.
ACCESSING THE CONFIGURATION INTERFACE
Method 2: Discover GWN7630LR using GWN Discovery Tool
1. Download and install GWN Discovery Tool from the following link:
http://www.grandstream.com/tools/GWNDiscoveryTool.zip
2. Open the GWN DiscoveryTool, and click on Scan.
3. The tool will discover all GWN76xx Access Points connected on the
network showing their MAC and IP addresses.
4. Click on Manage Device to be redirected directly to the GWN-
7630LR’s conguration interface, or type in manually the displayed IP
address on your browser.
5. Enter username and password to login. (The default administrator
username is “admin” and the default random password can be found
at the back sticker on the GWN7630LR).
● Make sure that the GWN7630LR is not already paired with another
GWN76xx Access Point as slave, GWN7000 Router Series or GWN.
Cloud, otherwise the conguration interface cannot be accessed
● If the GWN7630LR is already paired, make sure to unpair it rst, or
do a factory reset.
● It is customer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with local regula-
tions for frequency bands, transmit power and others.
● To manage GWN7630LR over cloud, please refer to https://www.
gwn.cloud.

连接到GWN7630LR默认的无线网络
新的GWN7630LR会有默认的WiFi广播。 恢复出厂设置也能使默认WiFi
启动。
将GWN7630LR上电起机并连接至网络，GWN7630LR会广播默认的
SSID。
GWN【MAC地址后6位】以及随机密码
注意： GWN7630LR的默认SSID和随机密码打印在设备的MAC地址贴纸
上。
将电脑连接到GWN7630LR广播的无线网，或GWN7630LR所在的局域
网。就可以用以下的几种方式来发现并访问GWN7630LR的配置页面：
方法1：用MAC地址来发现GWN7630LR。
1. 在设备的背面的贴纸上，或者设备的外包装盒上可以找到设备的MAC
地址。
2. 在连接到GWN7630LR广播的无线网，或GWN7630LR所在的局域网的
电脑上，用浏览器输入网址：https://gwn_<mac>.local
3. 比如：如果GWN7630LR的MAC地址为00:B8:8B:7E:7E:7E，那么则输
入比如：如果GWN7630LR的MAC地址为 00:0B:82:8C:4D:F8,那么在浏览

方法2： 用GWNDiscoveryTool发现GWN7630LR
1. 从下面的连接下载GWNDiscoveryTool:

●如果GWN7630LR已经被配对，请从它的配主那里解除配对，或者
恢复该设备的出厂设置。
●遵守当地关于频带、发射功率及其他相关法规是每个用户应尽的责
任。
●请在https://www.gwn.cloud.进行GWN7630LR的云端管理 。

PRECAUCIONES
• No intente abrir, desarmar o modicar el dispositivo.
• No exponga este dispositivo a temperaturas fuera del rango de -30
°C a 60 °C en funcionamiento y desde -30 °C a 70 °C cuando se
encuentre almacenado
• No exponga el GWN7630LR a entornos fuera del siguiente rango de
humedad: 10-90% RH (sin condensación).
• No apague su GWN7630LR durante el reinicio del sistema o actu-

CONECTAR AL GWN7630LR CON LA RED Wi-Fi PRE-
DETERMINADA
El GWN7630LR puede ser usado como punto de acceso autónomo al
sacarlo de caja, o después del restablecimiento de fábrica con Wi-Fi ac-
tivado por defecto.
Después de encender el GWN7630LR y establecer la conexión a la red,
el GXW7630LR emitirá un SSID predeterminado basado en su dirección
MAC GWN[6 últimos dígitos del MAC] y una contraseña aleatoria.
Nota: La información del SSID y contraseña por defecto del GWN-
7630LR están impresas en la etiqueta MAC de la unidad.
Un ordenador conectado al SSID del GWN7630LR, o en la misma red
que el GWN7630LR puede descubrir y acceder a su interfaz de congu-

4. Percez quatre trous sur le mur en vous référant à la position de ceux
sur le support de base. Fixez ensuite une vis d’expansion dans ch-
aque trou.
5. Attachez le point d’accès GWN7630LR en xant le support de base
avec les vis d’extension sur le mur.

lage dans le sens anti-horaire. Vous pouvez le desserrer à la main ou
utiliser un tournevis à tête plate.
5. Redressez l’extrémité des sangles métalliques et faites-la glisser à

6. Enroulez les sangles métallique autour du poteau et utilisez un
tournevis à tête plate pour serrer le mécanisme de verrouillage en le

CONNEXION AU RESEAU Wi-Fi PAR DEFAUT DU GWN-
7630LR
Le GWN7630LR peut être utilisé comme point d’accès au-
tonome avec Wi-Fi activé par défaut lors de la première util-
isation, ou après réinitialisation aux paramètres d’usine.
Après la mise sous tension du GWN7630LR et connexion au réseau, le
GWN7630LR di󰀨usera un SSID par défaut en fonction de son adresse
MAC GWN[6 derniers chi󰀨res du MAC] et un mot de passe aléatoire.
Note: Le SSID et mot de passe par défaut du GWN7630LR sont im-
primés sur l’étiquette MAC de l’unité.
Un ordinateur connecté au SSID du GWN7630LR, ou au même réseau
que le GWN7630LR peut découvrir et accéder à son interface de cong-
uration en utilisant une des méthodes suivantes:

SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
• Das Produkt darf nicht geö󰀨net, zerlegt oder verändert werden.
• Bitte beachten Sie die zulässigen Temperaturbereiche für Nutzung
• (-30 °C bis 60 °C) und Lagerung (-30 °C bis 70 °C).
• Das Produkt darf nur in Umgebungen mit einem relativen Luftfeuchte-
bereichs von10% bis 90% (nicht kondensierend) genutzt werden.
• Die Stromversorgung darf während des Start- bzw. Upgradevor-
gangs nicht unterbrochen werden. Dies kann die Firmware bes-
chädigen und zu unerwünschten Fehlfunktionen führen.

STROMVERSORGUNG UND ANSCHLUß DES GWN7630LR
Der GWN7630LR kann wie nachfolgend beschrieben über PoE/PoE+
mit Strom versorgt werden:
1. Stecken Sie das RJ45 Ethernetkabel in den Netzwerk-Port am
GWN7630LR.
2. Stecken Sie das andere Ende des Netzwerkkabels in den passend-
en Port am PoE/PoE+ Switch.
Der WLAN Accesspoint für den Außenbereich verfügt über eine erhöhte
Reichweite und ist mit einem wasserfesten, sowie beheizten Gehäuse
ausgestattet. Der GWN7630LR bietet 4x4:4 MU-MIMO Technologie,
sowie ein hochintelligentes und außergewöhnlich e󰀨ektives Anten-
nen-Design für maximalen Datendurchsatz und einer max. Reichweite
von bis zu 300m. Um eine möglichst einfache Installation zu gewährleis-
ten, hat der GWN7630LR einen Controller bereits integriert, dieser er-
möglicht auch eine e󰀩ziente und schnell zu realisierende Management-
möglichkeit ohne, dass ein externer WLAN Controller notwendig ist.
Natürlich kann der GWN7630LR auch über die kostenlose WLAN-Ac-
cesspoint Management Plattform GWN.Cloud verwaltet, konguriert und
beobachtet werden. Wie alle Grandstream Accesspoints verfügt auch der
GWN7630LR neben der hochperformanten Datenübertragung über eine
fokusierte Auslegung auf Voice-over-WLAN und harmoniert optimal mit
Grandstream´s WLAN- IP-Telefonen. Der AccessPoint unterstützt QoS,
low-latency-realtime-Application, Mesh-Netzwerke, Captive-Portals, bis
zu 200 parallele Clients je Accesspoint und wird über PoE/PoE+ mit Strom
versorgt. Der GWN7630LR ist ein e󰀨ektiver und leistungsstarker Access-
point für den Außenbereich für eine Vielzahl von Anwendungsszenarien.

4. Markieren Sie die vier Bohrlöcher am gewünschten Montageplatz,
bohren Sie anschließend die passenden Löcher für die Basishalter-
ung. Fixieren Sie die Halterung lose.
5. Führen Sie nun den GWN7630LR Access-Point und die Basishalter-
ung zusammen und ziehen Sie die Schrauben fest.

4. Ö󰀨nen Sie die Montage-Schelle indem Sie die Schrauben gegen den
Uhrzeigersinn drehen. Dies kann per Hand, oder mit einem passend-
en Schraubendreher erfolgen.
5. Führen Sie die Schellen durch den bereits montierten Montage-Socke

einfach die angezeigte IP Adresse in die Adresszeile des Browsers.
5. Geben Sie Benutzername und Passwort ein. Der voreingestellte
Administrator-Benutzername lautet “admin”, das Zufallspasswort
bendet sich auf dem Produktaufkleber auf der Rückseite der GWN-
7630LR.

VERBINDEN SIE SICH MIT DEM VOREINGESTELL-

Der GWN7630LR kann als “Stand-alone” Access-Point direkt verwendet
werden - oder nach einem Reset auf Werkseinstellungen - Wi-Fi ist in
der Grundeinstellung immer aktiviert.
Sobald der GWN7630LR mit Strom versorgt und an das Netzwerk ang-
eschlossen ist, sendet der Access-Point eine voreingestellte SSID, diese
basiert auf der MAC Adresse des Gerätes (die letzten sechs Zi󰀨ern/
Buchstaben der MAC Adresse) sowie einem Zufallspasswort.
HINWEIS: Die SSID und Passwortinformationen benden sich auf dem
MAC-Adressen Aufkleber auf der Rückseite des Gerätes.
Methode 2: Suche nach dem GWN7630LR via GWN-
DiscoveryTool
1. Laden Sie das GWNDiscoveryTool von der Grandstream Sup-

ACCENSIONE E COLLEGAMENTO DEL GWN7630LR
GWN7630LR possono essere alimentati usando l’interruttore PoE/PoE+
mediante i passi seguenti:
Passo 1: Collegare il cavo Ethernet RJ45 alla porta di rete del GWN 7630LR.
Passo 2: Collegare l’altra estremità nella porta uplink dell’interruttore
power over Ethernet (PoE/PoE+).
INSTALLAZIONE HARDWARE
Il GWN7630LR prevede un montaggio orizzontale a so󰀩tto o verticale a
parete sopra un supporto metallico. Seguire le istruzioni per una corretta
installazione.
Questo punto di accesso Wi-Fi a lungo raggio è stato progettato per
fornire una copertura estesa ed è l’ideale per soluzioni Wi-Fi per esterni
grazie al suo rivestimento impermeabile e alla tecnologia di resistenza
al calore. Il GWN7630LR è dotato di 4x4:4 MU-MIMO dual band e di
un’antenna sosticata in grado di sfruttare al massimo le capacità di rete
e con un raggio di copertura Wi-Fi no a 300 metri. Il GWN7630LR è
facile da installare e gestire, grazie al suo design di gestione di rete dis-
tribuita in cui la centralina è inclusa nell’interfaccia utente Web del pro-

COLLEGAMENTO DEL GWN7630LR ALLA RETE Wi-Fi

dopo il ripristino alle impostazioni di fabbrica con Wi-Fi abilitato come
predenito.
Dopo l’accensione del GWN7630LR e il collegamento alla rete, GWN-
7630LR trasmetterà un SSID predenito basato sul suo indirizzo MAC
GWN[ultime 6 cifre del MAC] e una password casuale.
Nota: Le informazioni password e SSID predenito di GWN7630LR
