INSTRUCTIONS FOR
PORTABLE IN-LINE RCD
The in oming end of the in-line RCD
has the built in IEC onne tor in the
housing, and must be onne ted to the
mains supply. The outgoing supply has
a0.3 metre length of able, whi h is
fitted with an IEC plug.
IMPORTANT
It is essential that the unit is onne ted
the right way round, i.e. with the built
in plug end onne ted to the mains
supply.
When used with other a essories,
ensure that the fuse or MCB prote ting
the ir uit has the orre t rating.

Please arry out this simple test
pro edure prior to ea h use.
• Insert plug into power so ket outlet.
• Press and release reset button -
the red indi ator should disappear.
This means the RCD has tripped
su essfully, utting off the power
from the RCD.
• Now press and release the reset
button again, the unit is ready for
use.

onne ted or fail to trip when tested, in
a ordan e with the instru tions,
return to pla e of pur hase.
IMPORTANT, FOR YOUR
PROTECTION: Ele tri ity an be
dangerous and the use of an RCD
should not be regarded as a substitute
for basi ele tri al safety pre autions.
Always swit h off from supply when
working on equipment.

SERVICE CONDITIONS
Your Portable In-Line RCD is guaranteed
for 12 months from date of pur hase.
Please retain your re eipt as proof of
pur hase.
This devi e will prote t against live and
neutral leakage faults to earth, it will
not prote t against ele tri sho k due
to onta t with both ondu tors, short
ir uits between live and neutral, or a
fault in the wiring supplying this devi e.
NOTE: Remove this RCD from ir uit
before performing any high voltage
insulation tests.
The PowerBreaker Safety In-Line
Portable RCD has been designed for
storage and use between - 50C and
+400C at an altitude no greater than
2000m above sea level.
Care must be taken not to subje t your
PowerBreaker to abnormal pollution by
smoke, hemi al or flammable fumes,
salt laden spray, prolonged periods of
high humidity, immersion, repeated
dropping, or any other abnormal
onditions.

to trip when tested, seek advi e imme-
diately from a ompetent ele tri ian or
