RECYCLED & RECYCLABLE
Products from green frog designs are made, wherever possib e, from materia s that are recyc ed.
Where this is not practica , we a ways try to use materia s that are suitab e for recyc ing.
Our p astic is made from recyc ed waste p astic, predominant y p astic wrapping and carrier bags.
By choosing our products, rather than those made from virgin p astic, you are he ping to restrict
the amount of new p astic being made. We recyc e a
our waste p astic and, of course, our products themse ves can
be recyc ed (if they ever wear out!!).
The recyc ed p astic we use is incredib y tough, but is as easi y worked as wood. There is no need
for preservative treatment with insecticides or fungicides, and structures won’t sp inter or crack,
so they retain their structura integrity we . The p astic is resistant to UV ight, so it retains its
co our we , and is pretty much impervious to atmospheric po utants and seasona c imatic actions
such as freeze–thaw. It insu ates quite we , and is a so resistant to chewing. These properties
mean that it retains its appearance, co our and functiona ity for much onger than timber.
The sheets of recyc ed p astic have a very uniform thickness, and so are idea y suited to our high-
techno ogy manufacturing process, which uses computer-contro ed machines to cut shapes to
accuracies better than 0.1mm.
We a so use some meta components to fix parts together. The meta s used are either stain ess
stee or other rust-resistant a oy, so they have a very ong ifetime. They are a so suitab e for
recyc ing.
Our packaging and iterature is a made from recyc ed materia s wherever possib e. For examp e, assemb y instructions are printed on recyc ed
paper, and we use recyc ed p astic bubb e-wrap in our packaging. Even our business cards are made from 80% recyc ed card.
In other words: Fun, functiona products that don't cost the Earth!

HOW TO ASSEMBLE
1Fit two Vent Covers to the patterned face of the Right
Side Wa each using an M6x30mm screw, a standard
washer, a 25mm washer and a ny ock nut.. Tighten the
nuts unti the vents can rotate using gent e pressure.
They shou d not spin free y.
The Left Side Wa has vent s ots, to ensure the chickens
have some fresh air at a times.
2Fit the Sma and Large Curved Door Retainer, and the
Sma and Large Straight Door Retainer to the smooth
(inside) side of the Front Wa using 30mm and 40mm
Screws, Standard Washers, and Ny ock Nuts.
These pieces form a recess into which the door fits when
c osed, to make the door resistant to fox attack.
3Fit the Sma C evis Pin into the ho e in the Meta Door
from behind, and secure it using a washer and sp it ring.
This can be a itt e awkward. We find that ho ding the sp it
ring open by inserting a f at-b aded screwdriver between
the rings can make this task easier. But p ease mind your
fingers!
4P ace the Meta Door in position, and secure it with a
20mm screw, two Standard Washers, a 25mm Washer
and a Ny ock Nut. Tighten the Ny ock Nut unti the door
can just rotate free y.
5Fit both Side Wa s to the Base using Pi C ips. Ensure that
the Doub e-ho e ugs are at the front. Then fit the Roof
Support and the Lower Back Wa between the two side
wa s using Pi C ips.
NOTE: The Base may be fitted either way up (we
recommend patterned side upwards).
6Fit the Front Wa (patterned face outermost) to the end
with the doub e-ho e ugs using Pi C ips.
NOTE: If you have purchased a Leg Set, the Front Leg
Extensions shou d be fitted at this stage. If you have
purchased a Whee Set, the Whee Bar shou d be
assemb ed and fitted at this stage.

7Fit the two Back Door Hand es to the Back Door using Pi
C ips.
8Fit the Upper Back Wa using Pi C ips and then the Back
Door using Linch Pins. (When fitting, rest the bottom of
the Back Door in the s ots in the Base first, push the
door onto the ugs, and s ide the Back Door Hand e
downwards to ock the Back Door.)
9Fit the Side Roof Retainers, one on each side wa , using
Pi C ips.
Fit End Roof Retainers to the Front Wa and Upper Back
Wa using Pi C ips.
10 (Note: Skip this step for non-perch mode s) S ide the
Perches through the Left and Right Side Wa s and
secure with Linch Pins at both ends.
11 Fit the Nest box End Wa s and Nest Box Divider to the
Nest Box F oor, then add the Nest Box Front Wa , a
using Pi C ips.
12 Fit the nest box to the house by first inserting the L- ugs
into the ower ho es on the Right Side Wa , then ti t the
nest box to push the three upper ugs through their
ho es, before securing them inside the house with Linch
Pins.

13 Fit the Nestbox Front Brace and the two Nestbox Side
Braces to the Nestbox Lid, which shou d have its
patterned side upwards, using Pi C ips.
14 The Nest Box Lid simp y s ides upwards so that the
cutouts fit into the recesses in the vertica pane s. It is
secured with Linch Pins which can be tied to the End
Braces using 30cm of cord for each.
15 Fit the Ramp under the door using the two Long C evis
Pins and R-C ips. It wi ti t to the ground under its own
weight.
16 Fit the Roof using Linch Pins (Fix the centre first, then
bend it over the remaining ugs).
17 MANUAL DOOR ONLY: Tie one end of the Cord to the
Sp it Ring in the Front Door and the other to the sma
ho e in the Door Hand e. The Cord shou d pass through
the hand e s ot. Adjust the ength of the cord so that,
when the door is fu y raised, the hand e just hooks onto
the edge of the opposite handho d or the roof edge.
18 AUTOMATIC OPENER ONLY: Use four 3mm Screws,
Washers, and Ny ock Nuts to secure the Chickenguard
