RECYCLED & RECYCLABLE
Produ ts from green frog designs are made, wherever possible,
from materials that are re y led. Where this is not pra ti al, we
always try to use materials that are suitable for re y ling.
Our plasti is made from re y led waste plasti , predominantly
plasti wrapping and arrier bags. By hoosing our produ ts,
rather than those made from virgin plasti , you are helping to
restri t the amount of new plasti being made. We re y le all
our waste plasti and, of ourse, our produ ts themselves an
be re y led (if they ever wear out!!).
The re y led plasti we use is in redibly tough, but is as easily
worked as wood. There is no need for preservative treatment
with inse ti ides or fungi ides, and stru tures won’t splinter or
ra k, so they retain their stru tural integrity well. The plasti is
resistant to UV light, so it retains its olour well, and is pretty
mu h impervious to atmospheri pollutants and seasonal limati a tions su h as freeze–thaw.
It insulates quite well, and is also resistant to hewing. These properties mean that it retains its
appearan e, olour and fun tionality for mu h longer than timber.
The sheets of re y led plasti have a very uniform thi kness, and so are ideally suited to our high-
te hnology manufa turing pro ess, whi h uses omputer- ontrolled ma hines to ut shapes to
a ura ies better than 0.1mm.
We also use some metal omponents to fix parts together. The metals used are either stainless
steel or other rust-resistant alloy, so they have a very long lifetime. They are also suitable for
re y ling.
Our pa kaging and literature is all made from re y led materials wherever possible. For example,
assembly instru tions are printed on re y led paper, and we use re y led plasti bubble-wrap in
our pa kaging. Even our business ards are made from 80% re y led ard.
In other words: Fun, fun tional produ ts that don't ost the Earth!
