Caterpillar Tunnel Kit
16’ x 48’ Assembly Instructions
Step #1
• Assemble swaged arch to non-swaged arch
• Have two tech screws ready, to tie the arches together
• Measure the arch length to 16”
• Drill the tech screws into the swaged connection.
*While it’s not essential, drilling a pilot hole will help the
tech screw go in straight. This pre-drilling will ensure
easier entry and the thread isn’t damaged.
Step #2
• Layout the 16’x 48’ area to place your tunnel
• Ground posts should be in a row 4’ apart
• Each row of posts should be 16’apart to connect hoops
• Drive the ground posts to ground-level mark
(keep the crossbar slightly above ground for later rope installation)

Step #4
• Install truss under rst and second truss at each end
(as shown)
• Assemble truss with 33mm~1” bolt clamp
Step #3
• Assemble center ridge with purlin clamp.

Step #6
• Install COVERING. On each end hoop, use
an ABS cu along every inch of the radius
to tighten it
Step #5
• Install side bracing (as shown) between arch 1& 2

Step #7
• Install rope over the COVERING. Tighten rope (as shown),
hooking it over the cross at the top of each stake at ground
level, zig-zagging one way, then repeating the other way to
form a criss-cross pattern between each hoop
