G1127 EXTENSION BLOCK KIT
FOR THE G1019 BANDSAW
•Review this instruction
sheet in its entirety before
beginning installation.
Failure to follow these
guidelines will result in
serious personal injury.
•Unplug the bandsaw
before beginning this
installation procedure.
•Bandsaw blades are
sharp. Use caution when
removing, installing and
handling.
Grizzly’s G1127 Extension Block increases the cutting height of the Model
G1019 Bandsaw by six inches. With the extension block installed, the saw is
capable of cutting stock up to 12" in height.
For best results while installing the Extension Block, we recommend referring
to the parts diagram on the last page of this instruction sheet. The numbers on
the diagram refer to the components supplied in the Extension Block Kit. The
letters refer to parts of your existing bandsaw setup. There are references to
the manual that was supplied with your saw, so have it close at hand.
1. Disconnect the bandsaw from electrical power before
beginning.
2. Remove the blade per the manual instructions.
3. Remove the blade guide assembly by loosening the
Lock Knob Ref C and sliding the Guide Post Ref D out
of the Bracket Ref F.
4. The Upper Frame Arm represents a heavy load.
Seek assistance before continuing with this next
step. Remove Upper Frame Arm Ref A from the Base
Ref B by removing the Hex Bolt Ref D and Hex Nut
Ref E. The upper frame arm is heavy and pinned to the
base. It will be necessary to rock the Upper Frame Arm
gently back and forth to work it loose of the base. Take
care in lifting it off the base and setting it to one side.
5. Remove the two Set Pins Ref G which are in the top
of the Base by using a pair of pliers and twisting it until
they come free. These will not be reused.
6. Place the 6" Extension Block Ref #1 onto the Base and
line up the mounting hole to the base mounting hole.
The Upper Frame Arm represents a heavy load.
Seek assistance before continuing with this next
step. Place the Upper Frame Arm on the top of the
Extension Block, lining up the mounting holes. Use the
5⁄8" - 11 x 8" Bolt Ref #4, Washer Ref #5, Lock Washers
Ref #7 and Hex Nut Ref #6 to secure the Upper Arm to
the Extension Block to the Base. Do not tighten at this
time.

7. Remove the table (see the Manual Instructions regarding “Table”).
Roughly align the upper and lower wheels by laying a straight edge
across both wheels See Figure 2. Tighten the bolt until it is tight,
then loosen it 1⁄4 to 1⁄2 turn.
8. Install the 105" blade supplied in the kit Ref #10 following the
instructions in the G1019 Manual. Apply tension to the blade as
described in the manual. Adjust the tracking knob until the upper
and lower wheels are parallel.
9. Check wheels for coplanarity. See Figure 3. If wheels are not
coplaner, tap on the bottom edge of the Upper Frame Arm with a
rubber or wooden mallet or twist it the direction needed and check
again. When wheels are coplaner, tighten the bolt Ref #4. Check
coplaner again. Adjust as needed. Remember that it is important the
blade be tensioned during this process.
10. Adjust the tension and tracking as outlined in the manual. Rotate the
wheels with your finger to assure that the blade is tracking. If there
is any difficulty in getting the blade to track properly, go back to Step
7 and realign the wheels.
11. Remove the Upper Guide Assembly Ref H from Ref D and attach it
to the 16" Guide Post Ref #2.
12. Place the Guide Post Assembly onto the machine by sliding the
Guide Post up through the Bracket Ref F and tightening the Hand
Knob C.
13. Replace the Blade Guard Ref K with the extended version Ref #3.
14. Replace the extended Guard Ref J with Ref #8 on the studs on the left
hand side of the machine.
15. Adjust the Upper and Lower Guide
Assemblies as required.
16. Replace the table.
17. Replace the Upper and Lower Wheel
Covers.
18. Test the blade movement and clearance
before running the machine. Make sure
the blade is moving freely and not bind-
ing. Reconnect the bandsaw to electrical
power.
