Caution
The water-in-oil sensor must be removed if it is
necessary to heat the motor flange
(max. 70 °C/158 °F).
6.4.3 Rotor bearing
Caution If a bearing heater is used, the temperature must not
exceed 80 °C (176 °F).
Note Use a hydraulic press if a bearing heater is not available.
1. Insert rotor (pos. 1019) in motor flange (pos. 1020) and place
the unit in a hydraulic press.
2. Fit bearing (pos. 1039) on the N-end of rotor shaft (pos. 1019).
3. Press it carefully home by pressing on inner bearing ring (pos.
1039).
6.4.4 Water-in-oil sensor
1. Lubricate the threads of water-in-oil sensor (pos. 1049) with
Loctite 511.
2. Fit and tighten water-in-oil sensor (pos. 1049) in motor flange
(pos. 1020) using a spanner.
6.4.5 Rotor
1. Lubricate the groove for O-ring (pos. 1022) in motor flange (pos.
1020) with Loctite MR 5923.
2. Fit and lubricate the O-ring with Loctite MR 5923.
3. Fit compensation disc (pos. 1038) in the hole for bearing (pos.
1039) in the N-end of the motor housing.
4. Insert rotor (pos. 1019) in the top of the motor housing.
5. Lower or press rotor (pos. 1019) into the motor housing until the
wires for the water-in-oil sensor can be connected.
6. Connect the wires.
Caution Make sure that the wires of the water-in-oil sensor are
not pinched when inserting the rotor.
1. Turn motor flange (pos. 1020) so that the marks are aligned.
2. Lower or press rotor (pos. 1019) home in the motor housing.
3. Fit retaining ring (pos. 1059) in the motor housing.
6.4.6 Shaft seals
1. Fit stationary shaft seal part (pos. 1048) on the shaft and press
it home.
Caution Take care not to damage the seal face. Make sure that
the surface is clean.
2. Lubricate the inside of rotating shaft seal part (pos. 1048) with a
little bit soapy water/cream. Fit it on the shaft with the seal face
towards the stationary part.
3. Fit shim (pos. 1050) on the shaft. Press the shim and the
rotating shaft seal part against the stationary part.
4. Fit retaining ring (pos. 1051) on the shaft.
Caution Make sure that the retaining ring is fitted correctly in
the groove.
5. Lubricate the groove for O-ring (pos. 1142) in motor flange (pos.
1020) with Loctite MR 5923 and fit the O-ring.
6. Lubricate the groove for O-ring (pos. 1043) in sealing flange
(pos. 1141) with Loctite MR 5923.
7. Fit and lubricate the O-ring with Loctite MR 5923.
8. Fit sealing flange (pos. 1141) in motor housing (pos. 1017) with
the higher of the two holes for plugs (pos. 1145) upwards.
9. Fit two screws (pos. 1144) in opposite holes and tighten them
until sealing flange (pos. 1141) is in place.
10. Remove the two screws and lubricate screws (pos. 1144) with
Loctite 511. Cross-tighten the screws. See section Tightening
torques and lubricants.
11. Fit stationary shaft seal part (pos. 1098) on the shaft and press
it home.
Caution
Make sure that it is fitted correctly in the groove.
Take care not to damage the seal face. Clean the
surface with Loctite 7063.
12. Lubricate the inside of rotating shaft seal part (pos. 1098) with a
little bit soapy water/cream. Fit it on the shaft with the seal face
towards the stationary part and press it carefully against the
stationary part.
