SAFETY AND SET-UP ________________________
Please read this instruction manual thoroughly
prior to using this appliance! Follow all safety
instructions in order to avoid damages due to
improper use!
Keep the instruction manual for future reference.
Should this appliance be given to a third party,
then this instruction manual must also be handed
over.
■The blades are very sharp! Handle the sharp
blades with the utmost care, especially the
removing and cleaning them in order to avoid
injuries.
■Never clean the appliance with your bare
hands. Always use a brush.
■Do not touch any moving parts of the appli-
ance. Do not attach or remove the parts until
the unit comes to a complete stop.
■Always keep hair, clothing and any other
utensils away from the appliance during
operation in order to prevent injury and dam-
ages.
■The appliance is intended for domestic use
only.
■Check if the mains voltage on the rating label
corresponds to your local mains supply. The
only way to disconnect the appliance from
the mains is to pull out the plug.
■Do not wrap the power cord around the ap-
pliance.
■For additional protection, this appliance
should be connected to a household residual
current device with a rating of no more than
30 mA. Consult your electrician for advice.
■Do not immerse the appliance, power cord or
power plug in water or in other liquids.
■Always pull out the power plug before assem-
bling, after using, before disassembling, or
before cleaning the appliance, before leaving
the room or if a fault occurs. Do not discon-
nect the plug by pulling on the cord.
■To prevent damage to the power cord avoid
squeezing, bending or rubbing it on sharp
edges. Keep the cord away from hot surfaces
and open flames.
■Do not use an extension cord with the appli-
ance.
■Never use the appliance if the power cord or
the appliance is damaged.
■Our GRUNDIG Household Appliances meet
applicable safety standards; thus if the appli-
ance or power cord is damaged, it must be
repaired or replaced by the dealer, a service
centre or a similarly qualified and authorized
service person to avoid any dangers. Faulty
or unqualified repair work may cause danger
and risks to the user.
■Do not dismantle the appliance under any cir-
cumstances. No warranty claims are accepted
for damage caused by improper handling.
■Always keep the appliance out of the reach of
children.
■The appliance should not be used by the fol-
lowing persons, including children: those with
limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or those with a lack of experience and knowl-
edge. This does not apply to the latter if they
were instructed in the use of the appliance or
if they use it under the supervision of a person
responsible for their safety. Children should
always be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
■Do not leave the appliance unattended when
it is in use. Extreme caution is advised when
the appliance is being used near children
and people with limited physical, sensory or
mental capabilities.

SAFETY AND SET-UP ________________________
■Never place the appliance, attachments,
power cord or plug on hot surfaces such as
gas or electric burners or hot oven surfaces
and never use with hot liquids or food. Let hot
food and liquids cool down to min. 80°C or
less, before using the appliance.
■Do not use the appliance for anything other
than its intended use.
■Never switch on the appliance for longer
than necessary for processing the food.
■Never use the appliance with damp or wet
hands.
■Operate the appliance with delivered parts
only.
■The appliance has been designed for process-
ing food and liquids in common household
quantities.
■Do not use the appliance if the blades are
damaged or show signs of wear.
■Always use the appliance on a stable, flat,
clean and dry surface.
■Make sure that that there is no danger that
the power cord could be accidentally pulled
or that someone could trip over it when the
appliance is in use.
■Position the appliance in such a way that the
plug is always accessible.
■A spatula may be used to remove the food
from the measuring beaker and chopping
bowl. Make sure, the appliance is switched
off before doing this.
■This appliance is not suitable for crushing
ice or for dry or hard foods as this to quickly
cause the blades will become dull.
■Remove bones and stones from food to
prevent the blades and the appliance from
becoming damaged.
■In order to reduce the risk of injury, never set
the blades of the appliance onto the base, if
the chopping bowl is not seated properly.
■Make sure that the lid is seated properly on
the chopping bowl before you switch on the
appliance.
■Do not use the appliance continuously for
more than 10 seconds, in order to prevent
overheating.
■This appliance is intended for short periods of
use and may not be used for longer than 1
minute at a time. Let the appliance cool down
sufficiently after use.

Recipe ideas
Guacamole
Ingredients:
3 avocados, peeled and pitted
3 tablespoons lime or lemon juice
1 medium-sized onion, peeled
1 medium-sized garlic clove, peeled
3 tablespoons fresh cilantro
2 medium-sized tomatoes, peeled
1 teaspoon salt
1 pinch ground cayenne pepper – optional
Preparation:
Put the avocados, lime juice and salt into the
measuring beaker or a similar bowl and blend
until mixture is pureed.
Place the onion, garlic, cilantro and tomatoes
into the glass chopping bowl and mix until
ingredients are coarsely chopped. Put the
avocado mixture in the bowl using a spatula
and blend the ingredients until thoroughly mixed
and smooth.
Salad dressing
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 medium-sized garlic cloves
2 tablespoons yogurt
30-40 g parsley
1 pinch salt
Preparation:
Put the parsley and garlic into the chopping
glass bow and mix until ingredients are coarsley
chopped.
Take the chopped mixture out of the chopping
bowl, put them into the measuring beaker or in a
similar bowl. Gradually add in olive oil, yogurt,
lemon juice and salt to the mixture and blend the
ingredients until thoroughly mixed smooth.

OPERATION_________________________________
Note
■ Your Hand Blender Set has been designed
for processing small quantities of food and
should not be used for any other purpose.
Preparation
1Remove all packaging and sticker materials
and dispose of them according to the applica-
ble legal regulations.
2Before using the appliance for the first time,
clean parts which come into contact with food
(see the “Cleaning and care” section).
3Cut the food into small pieces before using the
appliance.
Blending
1Put the food that you would like to puree or
mix in the measuring beaker Ior a similar
bowl.
2Attach the blending attachment Eto the
base unit Dby turning clockwise until it locks.
Make sure the blending attachment is prop-
erly attached to the base unit.
3Insert the plug into the wall socket.
4Immerse the blending attachment Ein the
measuring beaker I, where the ingredients
to be blended are.
Note
■ To prevent the ingredients from splashing, do
not press the On/Off button Bor turbo but-
ton Cuntil the blending attachment has been
immersed in the ingredients.
5Press and hold down the On/Off button B.
– The appliance starts operating.
6Use the speed control Ato select a speed or
press and hold the turbo button C.
Note
■ When you use the turbo button; the appliance
operates at maximum speed; in this case you
can-not adjust the speed with the speed
control A.
7Move the appliance slowly up and down and
in circles to blend the ingredients.
Note
■ Always switch off the appliance before taking
out of the processed food.
8Release the On/Off button Bor turbo button
Cwhen you are finished and disconnect the
power plug from the wall socket. Remove the
mixture from the measuring beaker I.
9Disassemble the blending attachment Eonly
by turning it anti clockwise, from the base unit.
Notes
■ To prevent overheating do not operate the
appliance continuously for more than 10
seconds.
■ Never switch on the appliance for longer than
necessary for processing the food.
■ To prevent overflowing of the mixture do not
overfill the measuring beaker Ior bowl.
Smaller amounts are easier to process
■ If you would like to use the blending attach-
ment directly in the pot, first take the pot off
the stove to prevent the blending attachment
overheating.

OPERATION_________________________________
Chopping
Notes
■ Do not chop extremely hard items such as
coffee beans, ice cubes, nutmeg, grains or
bones. Remove stalks from herbs, shells from
nuts and bones, tendons and gristle from
meat.
■ Cut the food in small pieces.
1Put the chopping bowl Hon the anti-slip rub-
ber pad L.
2Place the chopping blade Gonto the fixed
shaft in the chopping bowl H.
Caution
■ Be careful when inserting the chopping blade
Gas it is very sharp.
■ Do not touch the chopping blade with bare
hands.
3 Place the ingredients in the chopping bowl H.
4Put the chopping lid Fon the chopping bowl
H. Make sure that the claws on the chopping
lid are firmly locked on the glass bowl.
Caution
■ Never operate the appliance if the chopping
lid is not properly seated on the chopping
bowl, as this could damage the chopping
blade.
5Put the base unit Don the chopping lid F.
Turn the base unit clockwise so that it is firmly
locked in place. Make sure the base unit is
securely attached to the chopping lid.
Note
■ During operation always hold the chopping
bowl with one hand to prevent it tipping over.
6Insert the plug into the wall socket.
7Press and hold down the On/Off button B.
– The appliance starts operating.
8Use the speed control Ato select a speed or
press and hold the turbo button C.
Notes
■ Do not use the appliance continuously for
more than 10 seconds.
■ To achieve the best results press the On/Off
button or turbo button intermittently.
9Release the On/Off button Bor turbo button
Cwhen you finish the process and discon-
nect the power plug from the wall socket.
Remove the base unit Dfrom the chopping
lid Fby turning the base unit anti clockwise
and pulling it off. Take the chopping lid Foff.
Take the chopping blade Gout of the chop-
ping bowl Hcarefully prior to removing the
chopped food.

Note
■ If the appliance does not work or if the
chopping blade Gonly turns slowly first pull
out the power plug. Then take the base unit
Dand the chopping lid Foff. Check the
chopping bowl Hto see if there is something
blocking the chopping blade. You might have
put too much hard food in the chopping bowl.
■ If the ingredients stick to the side of the
chopping bowl H, you can use a spatula to
remove the food from the chopping bowl.
Make sure, the appliance is switched off
before doing this.
Caution
■ Do not touch the chopping blade with your
bare hands. The chopping blade is very
sharp.
Whisking
Notes
■ You can use the balloon whisk Kfor whip-
ping cream and beating eggs.
■ Never process more than 4 egg whites or
200 ml cream.
1Insert the balloon whisk Kinto the whisk
holder Juntil it clicks into place.
2Connect the base unit Dto the whisk holder
Jby putting the whisk holder onto the base
unit. Turn the whisk holder clockwise. Make
sure that the whisk holder is securely attached
to the base unit.

3 Put the ingredients that you would like to pro-
cess in the measuring beaker Ior a similar
bowl.
4Insert the power plug into the wall socket.
5Hold the balloon whisk Kinto the mixture to
be processed.
6Press and hold the On/Off button B.
– The appliance starts operating.
7Use the speed control Ato select a speed or
press and hold the turbo button C.
8Move the appliance slowly up and down and

Remove the base unit Dfrom the whisk holder
Jby turning the whisk holder anti clockwise
and pulling it off.
Notes
■ To prevent overheating do not use the appli-
ance continuously for more than 10 seconds.
■ To prevent overflowing of the mixture do
not overfill the measuring beaker I, bowl.
Smaller amounts are easier to process.
■ If you would like to use the balloon whisk di-
rectly in the pot, first take the pot off the stove
to prevent the balloon whisk overheating.

INFORMATION _____________________________
Installing the wall mount-
ing bracket
You can use the wall mounting bracket to keep
your appliance in a convenient location.
1 Hold the wall mounting bracket Min the de-
sired position on the wall. Mark the two drill
holes. Drill the holes and insert the supplied
dowels N.
Caution
■ Make sure that you do not drill into electrical
lines or water pipes!
2Secure the wall mounting bracket Mto the
wall using the supplied screws and dowels N.
3You can now place the base unit Din the
wall mounting bracket M.
Cleaning and care
Caution
■ Never use petrol, solvents or abrasive clean-
ers, metal objects or hard brushes to clean the
appliance.
■ Do not touch the chopping blades with your
bare hands. The blades are very sharp. Use a
brush!
■ Never put the base unit Dor power cord
in water or any other liquids and never hold
them under running water.
1Turn the appliance off and disconnect it from
the wall socket.
2Let the appliance cool down completely.
3Use a damp soft cloth to clean the base unit
Dand then wipe it dry.
4Immediately after use, clean the blending
attachment E, chopping lid Fand whisk
holder Jwith warm, soapy water and dry
thoroughly. Never submerge them in dishwa-
ter.
Note
■ If the inner side of the blending attachment E
gets wet, put it in an upright position to allow
the water to run out.
5Only the following parts can be cleaned in
dishwasher: balloon whisk K, chopping the
bowl H, chopping blade Gand measuring
beaker I.
Notes
■ Before using or storing the appliance after
cleaning, dry all parts carefully using a soft
towel.
■ Processing of ingredients with natural coloring
(carrots, beets etc.) can cause the plastic parts
of the appliance to become discoloured.
Wipe these parts with vegetable oil before
cleaning.
Storage
If you do not plan to use the appliance for a
long period of time, please store it carefully.
Make sure the appliance is unplugged and
completely dry.
Store it in a cool, dry place.
Make sure the appliance is always kept out of
the reach of children.
