Notes___________________________
Your Diginotice Pro is a digital voice recorder.
Safety
This digital voice recorder was designed to record and play
spoken language, i.e. voice data.
Protect it from exposure to moisture (rain, splashes of water).
Never place your voice recorder near a heater or in the direct
sunlight.
Never open the voice recorder under any circumstances. Opening
the device invalidates the guarantee.
Only open the lid of the battery compartment.
Use a dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use chemical cleaning
agents.
Environmental note
Batteries, including those without heavy metals, should not be
disposed of with your household waste. Used batteries should be
taken to a battery collection box in a shop or to a public
collection point.

PREPARATIONS___________________
Getting started
Inserting the batteries
Insert 2 AAA (LR03) alkaline batteries into the battery
compartment and make sure that the polarity is correct. At first,
the Diginotice Pro is in “STOP mode”.
Please first set the clock – see “Settings – Date and time”.
Battery display
If the battery symbol flashes on the display and 3 warning tones
can be heard, the batteries need to be replaced. The device
immediately switches to power-saving mode.
General use
Switching the device on/power-saving mode
Press the “MENU” or “PLAY/PAUSE” button to end power-
saving mode. Wait until the progress bar goes out.
The device is then ready for use again.
If no button is pressed within 2 minutes, the device automatically
switches to power-saving mode. The display only shows the time
and battery charge status.
“HOLD” keylock
Push it up. As long as the keylock is switched on, all the buttons
are disabled. The symbol appears on the display.
If the keylock is switched on, “HOLD” flashes on the display if
the menu button is pressed. To enable all buttons, push the
“HOLD” slide switch in the opposite direction of the arrow.
Basic state
In its basic state (STOP mode), all actions such as “Playback”,
“Record” “Delete file” or “Settings” can be activated.

PREPARATIONS___________________
Selection folders
Every time you press the “MENU” button in basic state, the next
folder in the cycle A ÆB ÆC ÆD ÆE ÆA… is selected.
Folders A to D are for recording voice data.
Folder E is for playing music files (MP3 and WMA).
Menu guidance
Some menu functions can be selected with the jog shuttle .
To select a function, press the “PLAY/PAUSE”button.
The corresponding menu entry is then displayed. It can be
changed using the jog shuttle .
Press the “STOP” button to confirm changes or quit the function.

RECORDING _____________________
Starting to record
• First press the menu button to select a target folder (A...D)
for the recording. To start the recording, press the
“REC/PAUSE” button. During the recording, the red LED
stays on and the display shows the actual recording time
in hours, minutes and seconds.
• Press the “STOP” button to finish the dictation. Press the
“PLAY/PAUSE” jog shuttle to repeat the last dictation.
Recording pause
• Press the “REC/PAUSE” button again to activate the
recording pause.
• The recording display flashes, “PAUSE” appears on the
display.
• Press the “REC/PAUSE” button again to continue the
recording.
Full display
• If the internal memory is exhausted during the recording
or if a folder already contains 199 files, the “FULL”
warning appears and 3 warning tones can be heard.
• If necessary, remove files from the selected folder or
select a different recording folder.

PLAYBACK _______________________
Starting to play
• After selecting a folder, the file to be played can be
selected by moving the jog shuttle to or position.
The currently selected file appears on the display (13).
• After selecting a DVR file, first the length of the file, then
the date / time of the recording and then again the actual
time are shown on the display.
• When MP3 and WMA files are played, only the file length
is displayed.
• After selecting the file, you can start playing it by pressing
the “PLAY/PAUSE” jog shuttle.
• Fast forward or rewind are possible during playback by
holding the jog shuttle in or position.
• Press or only briefly to return to the previous file or
go to the next one.
Playback settings
• While playing a voice recording or an MP3 or WMA file, the
playback settings can be opened by pressing the “MENU”
button.
• The following settings can be adjusted, depending on the
file type:
o playback speed (SPEED)
o playback mode (PLAY-M)
o equalizer mode (EQ)
• Use or on the jog shuttle to select the setting.
• Press the “PLAY/PAUSE” jog shuttle to switch to change
mode.

PLAYBACK _______________________
Playback speed (SPEED)
• Change the playback speed of a recording to play it faster
or slower.
• The display indicates “SPE 10” (normal). Speeds can be
set between 5 (slow) and 20 (fast).
• The playback speed is changed using or on the jog
shuttle.
• Press the “STOP” button to confirm your settings.
Playback mode (PLAY-M)
• Playback mode determines how files are played. The
following settings are possible:
o Playback of a file only once
ONE

o Playback of all files of a folder only once
ALL
.
o Continuous playback of a file
ONE
.
o Continuous playback of all files of a folder
ALL
.
• Playback mode is changed using or on the jog
shuttle.
• Press the “STOP” button to confirm your settings.

PLAYBACK _______________________
Equalizer (EQ)
• The equalizer is for adjusting the sound settings for
playing MP3 and WMA files.
• The Diginotice Pro has 6 equalizer modes:
o NORMAL,
o DBB,
o JAZZ,
o DISCO,
o POP and
o CLASSIC
• Equalizer mode is changed using or on the jog
shuttle.
• Press the “STOP” button to confirm your settings.

DELETING FILES __________________
Deleting the currently selected file
• Use or on the jog shuttle to select the file to be
deleted in the current folder.
• Press the “ERASE” button.
o The “ONE” symbol flashes on the display and the
file is played.
• Now use the “+” / “-” buttons to select the files to be
deleted:
o “ONE” deletes the currently selected file.
o “DIR” deletes all files in the currently selected
folder.
o “ALL” deletes all files in all folders.
• Select the option “ONE”.
• To confirm the deletion, press the “ERASE” button a
second time.
o During the deletion process, “BUSY” is shown on
the display.
• To stop this process, press the “STOP” button.
Deleting all files in a folder
• Use the “Menu” button in “stop mode” to select the
folder with the files to be deleted.
• Press the “ERASE” button.
o The “ONE” symbol flashes on the display and the
current file is played.
• Use the “+” / “-” buttons to select the deletion option
“DIR”.
• Press the “ERASE” button to confirm the deletion.
o During the deletion process, “BUSY” is shown on
the display.
• To stop this process, press the “STOP” button.

DELETING FILES __________________
Deleting all files in all folders
• Make sure that the device is in “stop mode”.
• Press the “ERASE” button.
o The “ONE” symbol flashes on the display and the
file is played.
• Use the “+” / “-” buttons to select the deletion option
“ALL”.
• Press the “ERASE” button to confirm the deletion.
o During the deletion process, “BUSY” is shown on
the display.
• To stop this process, press the “STOP” button.

Activating the Settings menu
• Stop playing or the recording to adjust the general device
properties.
• Press the “MENU” button for about 2 seconds.
o The Settings menu is opened and you are taken to
the selection level, where various functions can be
selected.
o The first menu item appears on the display:
“F-MEM”.
• You can use the buttons on the jog shuttle to select
the individual functions in the Settings menu.
• Press the “Play/Pause” jog shuttle to select the desired
menu function.

SETTINGS _______________________
Remaining recording capacity (F-MEM)
• Press the “MENU” button for about 2 seconds.
o The first menu item appears on the display:
“F-MEM”.
• Press the “Play/Pause” jog shuttle to display the
remaining recording capacity.
o The remaining recording capacity is displayed in the
format “HH:MM” (hours : minutes).
NOTE:
The recording capacity depends on the selected
recording mode (“standard play” or “long play”).
Use the buttons on the jog shuttle to display
the remaining time in the respective recording
mode.
• Press the “STOP” button to return to the Settings menu.
• Press the “STOP” button again to quit the menu.

Setting date and time (CLOCK)
• Press the “MENU” button for about 2 seconds.
o The first menu item "F-MEM" appears on the
display.
• Press the buttons on the jog shuttle until you arrive
at the “CLOCK” menu item.
• Press the “Play/Pause” jog shuttle to set the date and
the time.
• Set the date and the time in the following order:
o date (Y=year, M=month, D=day) and
o time (H=hours, M=minutes).
• Press the “Play/Pause” jog shuttle again and the “year”
(Y) flashes.
o Use to make your setting. Press the “STOP”
button to confirm your entry.
• If you press the jog shuttle up , the month (M) is
displayed. Press the “Play/Pause” jog shuttle and it
flashes.
o Use to make your setting. Press the “STOP”
button to confirm your entry.
• If you press the jog shuttle up , the day (D) is displayed.
Press the “Play/Pause” jog shuttle and it flashes.
o Use to make your setting. Press the “STOP”
button to confirm your entry.
• Push the jog shuttle up , the hours (H) are displayed.
Press the “Play/Pause” jog shuttle and they flash.
o Use to make your setting. Press the “STOP”
button to confirm your entry.
• Push the jog shuttle up , the minutes (M) are displayed.

Background lighting (LIGHT)
• Press the “MENU” button for about 2 seconds.
o The first menu item "F-MEM" appears on the
display.
• Use the buttons on the jog shuttle until you arrive at
the “LIGHT” menu item.
• Press the “Play/Pause” jog shuttle to activate or
deactivate the background lighting.
• Depending on the setting, “ON” or “OFF” flashes.
o If the background lighting is activated (“ON”), the
display is illuminated for a few seconds every time
a button is pressed.
• Use or on the jog shuttle to switch this option “ON”
or “OFF”.
• Press the “STOP” button to confirm your settings.
• Press the “STOP” button again to quit the menu.

Time-controlled recording (T-REC)
The time-controlled recording option enables you to enter start
and end times for a new recording.
• Press the “MENU” button for about 2 seconds.
o The first menu item "F-MEM" appears on the
display.
• Use the buttons on the jog shuttle until you arrive at
the “T-REC” menu item.
• Press the “Play/Pause” jog shuttle to activate or
deactivate the time-controlled recording.
• First enter the start time for the recording. The start time
is symbolized by a “T” on the right, next to the time.
• Press the “Play/Pause” jog shuttle to set the hours (H)
for the start time (T).
o The hours display (H) flashes for the start time (T).
o Use to make your setting.
• Press the “STOP” button to confirm your entry.
• Push the jog shuttle up .
• Press the “Play/Pause” jog shuttle to set the minutes (M)
for the start time (T).
o The minutes display (M) flashes for the start time
(T).
o Use to make your setting.
• Press the “STOP” button to confirm your entry.
• Push the jog shuttle up .
• Now enter the duration of the recording. The recording
time is symbolized by an “L” on the right, next to the time.
• Press the “Play/Pause” jog shuttle to set the hours (H)
for the recording time (L).
o The hours display (H) flashes for the recording time
(L).
o Use to make your setting.

deactivate the time-controlled recording.
• Use or on the jog shuttle to switch this setting “ON”
or “OFF”.
• Press the “STOP” button to confirm your entry.
• Press the “STOP” button again to quit the menu.
• If the time-controlled recording is activated, the “T-REC”
symbol appears on the display.
NOTE:
The maximum recording time cannot be longer than the available
remaining recording capacity (“F-MEM”).

Time-controlled playback (T-PLAY)
The time-controlled playback function plays a particular recording
(voice recording or music file) at a particular point in time.
• First select the file to be played with the time-controlled
playback function.
• Press the “MENU” button for about 2 seconds.
o The first menu item “F-MEM” appears on the
display.
• Press the buttons on the jog shuttle until you arrive
at the “T-PLAY” menu item.
• Press the “Play/Pause” jog shuttle to make your time-
controlled playback settings.
• First set the start time for playback.
• Press the “Play/Pause” jog shuttle to set the hours (H).
o The hours display (H) flashes.
o Use to make your setting.
• Press the “STOP” button to confirm your entry.
• Push the jog shuttle up .
• Press the “Play/Pause” jog shuttle to set the minutes
(M).
o The minutes display (M) flashes.
o Use to make your setting.
• Press the “STOP” button to confirm your entry.
• Push the jog shuttle up .
• Press the “Play/Pause” jog shuttle to activate or
deactivate the time-controlled playback function.
• Use or on the jog shuttle to switch this setting “ON”
