Disposal
The disposal instructions are based on icons placed on the
appliance or its package. The description of the meanings
can be found in the “Marking“ section.
Transport package disposal
The package protects the appliance against damage during
transport. Packing materials are usually chosen depending
on their environmental friendliness and disposal method
and can therefore be recycled. Returning the package to
material circulation saves raw materials and reduces waste
disposal costs. Parts of packages (e.g. foils, styropor®) can
be dangerous to children. Risk of suffocation! Keep parts
of packages away from children and dispose them as soon
as possible.
Operator requirements
The operator must carefully read and understand the Oper-
ating Instructions before using the appliance.
Qualification
No special qualification is necessary for using the appliance
apart from detailed instruction by an expert.
Minimum age
The appliance can only be operated by persons over 16
years of age. An exception includes youngsters operating
the appliance within their professional education to achieve
necessary skills under trainer's supervision.
Training
Using the appliance only requires appropriate instructions
by a professional or reading the Operating Instructions. No
special training necessary.

Inspections
Regular inspection
Visual check by the user or trained professional staff. In
doing so, check any abnormal sound when working.
Additional inspection
Not only a visual check is necessary for the braking system.
Test the brakes as follows:
•Hung the load
•Lift the load
•Lift and lower the load to various heights
•Check whether load holding in any position is ensured
Brake adjustment (see picture 1)
(A) Adjustment providing maximum braking effect.
(B) Press slowly away from the A direction and insert the
safety pin. Replace the brake disc if its thickness is less
than 3 mm.

Servicing
Perform any servicing work after using and before storing
the equipment. Servicing and repairs may only be executed
by trained professional staff.
•Clean the chain block thoroughly.
•Lubricate the chain block properly at all times. Lubri-
cate the load hook chain and joint with oil.
•Protect the chain block against rain and moisture
when storing the equipment.
Special attention must be paid to servicing when installing
the chain block outdoors.
Chain and hook
The load hook and chain are made out of alloy steel and
treated thermally. Correction welding and thermal treatment
on the load hook and chain is strictly prohibited. This would
result in changed material properties.
(a) The chain life is sufficiently dimensioned. Nevertheless,
the life is shortened due to external influences. If a length of
21 chain links given in table 1 is exceeded, the chain must
necessarily be replaced.
(b) The load hook gets deformed when handled unprofes-
sionally or when overloaded. The load hook must immedi-
ately be replaced if the g dimension reaches the limit value
specified in table 2. Safety will not be guaranteed if the
above-mentioned provision is not provided.
