at the address shown on the back page of these instructions,
with proof of purchase. Repair or replacement as provided under
this warranty is the exclusive remedy of the consumer. Beno J.
Gundlach Company shall not be liable for any incidental or con-
sequential damages for breach of any express or implied warranty
on the product. Any implied warranty of merchantability or fi tness
for a particular purpose on this product is limited in duration to
one year from date of purchase.

Butane Fuel Refilling
1. Use Ronson® brand butane fuel or equivalent.
2. Before refilling, shut off gun by pulling the On/Off
Valve and Ignition Switch to the ‘0’ (Off) position
(Figure 1).
3. Follow the directions on the butane fuel can. Hold
the gun vertically with the Butane Filler Valve up
(Figure 2). Slide open the red filler valve dust cover.
Insert the butane canister tip into the filler valve and
hold there until tank is full (when the butane “spits”).

After filling, allow the butane to stabilize for one minute
before igniting the gun.

5. Apply glue to any clean and dry surface you wish to bond.
Release trigger to stop flow of glue.
6. To shut the gun off, pull the On/Off Valve and Ignition
Switch to the ‘0’ (Off) position (Figure 7).
4. After starting, pull out stand and place the gun upright
(Figure 6).
Note: It takes about 5 minutes for the gun to heat up,
allowing the glue to melt.
3. The Ignition Indicator will glow red indicating the gun is
heating (Figure 5). Once the gun has reached maximum
temperature, the indicator will cycle on and off as the gun
heats under thermostat control.
Caution: If the gun goes off, wait about 15 seconds
before attempting to restart it.

In a well ventillated area away from ignition sources,
push the blue On/Off Valve and Ignition Switch to
the ‘ ’ (Ignite) position and hold for a few seconds
(Figure 4). The gun should ignite and a hissing sound
indicates butane flow.
Note: Butane is sometimes difficult to ignite at high
elevations.

Safety Information
• Please read directions carefully before use.
• Keep the glue gun out of children’s reach.
•
The nozzle gets hot when in operation—temperature can reach 385ºF (195ºC)
.
Do not touch the nozzle or melted glue, or place them on flammable objects.
• Always have a fire extinguisher or bucket of water near the work area.
• Always wear safety glasses when using the glue gun.
• Always point the gun away from eyes and body when turning it on or
operating.
• Never attempt to repair a damaged glue gun.
• Do not store under direct sunlight, or anywhere that temperatures exceed
104ºF (40ºC).
• Do not immerse in water.
• Make sure the gun’s On/Off Valve and Ignition Switch is in the ‘0’ (Off) position
before storing.
• Use only glue sticks designed for use with glue guns. Never use liquid or
paste adhesive.
• Allow glue gun and nozzle to cool before storing or leaving unattended.
• Do not pull partially melted glue stick from gun. This can cause glue to jam the
feed mechanism. Partial glue sticks should be left in place or cut off at rear of
gun.
