Prior to making a full lift raise the load one
foot from the ground and allow the full load
to hang from the cleat to assure system
integrity.
For ease of loading and
unloading the load, position the
Rail Rig close to the ladder access
point so that the load can be swung
through the access point. This will
prevent heavier loads from having
to be lifted over the upper hand rail.
Should the load be lifted over the
upper hand rail attach a suitable
anchor lanyard to the load and to
the anchor loop (shown below) on
the Rail Rig.
When Raising The Load Lowering < 50 lb Loads
For lowering less than 50lbs hold rope
securely and pull down to release cleat. While
maintaining a secure hold you are now able to
have a controlled descent. To lock raise the
rope up and release rope tension assuring cleat
is engaged into rope.
When raising loads on the Rail Rig pull the rope
straight through the top of the rope guides as
shown above.
Lowering 50 lbs to 120 lb Loads
READ CAUTIONS/INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO USE:
• IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT TRIAL RUNS (NO MORE THAN 3 FEET FROM THE GROUND) ARE
PERFORMED TO BECOME FAMILIAR WITH THE RAIL RIGS FEATURES PRIOR TO LIFTING A LOAD THE
FULL HEIGHT.
• ALWAYS ENSURE THE ROPE IS FULLY ENGAGED IN THE CLEAT WHEN LIFTING OR LOWERING.
• ALWAYS USE WITH SAF-ROPE12TNY300 OR SAF-ROPE12BPY200
• ALWAYS MAINTAIN FULL CONTROL OF THE ROPE AND NEVER LET IT FREE FALL THIS COULD CAUSE
ADDITIONAL STRESS TO THE HAND RAIL AND RAIL RIG COMPONENTS.
• NEVER LEAVE A LOAD SUSPENDED
• USER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR COMPLYING WITH APPLICABLE OSHA STANDARDS
•PRIOR TO USE: INSPECT ROPE FOR CUTS, EXCESSIVE WEAR, OR DEGRADATION. INSPECT RAIL RIG
FOR CRACKS, BENT, OR BROKEN PARTS.
Thread the rope through the carabiner and
pull up on the rope to disengage the trigger on
the rope cleat. Then start the descent while
maintaining the hand tension on the rope.
Operational Guide
NOTE: For lighter loads additional pressure on
the cleat trigger may be necessary when lowering
a load.
