Before installation, wear an ESD-preventive wrist strap, and make sure that the wrist strap
makes good skin contact and is well grounded. 在以下安装交换机的过程中，操作者需佩
戴防静电腕带，请确保防静电腕带已经正确接地并与皮肤良好接触。

To install the slide rails, chassis rails, and mounting brackets to the switch, you can
choose the installation positions for these accessories. 利用滑道、滑道导轨配合挂耳将
交换机安装到19英寸机柜时，可以根据需要调整附件在交换机上的安装位置。

The S5830-52SC provides a grounding sign and grounding screws at the primary
grounding point, but does not provide them at the auxiliary grounding point. S5830-
52SC主接地点标有接地标识，并带有接地螺钉，备用接地点上无接地标识和接地螺钉。
The two grounding screws at the primary grounding point also apply to the auxiliary
grounding point. S5830-52SC主接地点上的两个接地螺钉同样适用于备用接地点。

Installing the accessories to the switch 安装附件到交换机
The following installation procedures are for the S5830-52SC. The installation
procedures for the S5830-106S are similar. 如下安装过程，以安装到S5830-52SC交换
机上为示意，S5830-106S的安装类似，不再重复描述。
The installation positions of the accessories in the following figure are only for
illustration. Select proper installation positions based on the installation requirement. 以
下图中附件的安装位置仅供参考，请根据实际安装场景的需要选择合适的安装位置。

The S5830-106S provides a grounding sign at the primary grounding point, but does not
provide it at the auxiliary grounding point. S5830-106S主接地点标有接地标识，备用接
地点上无接地标识。

The primary and auxiliary grounding points of the S5830 Switch Series are located at the
chassis side. Install the grounding cable before installing the switch to the rack.
S5830系列交换机提供的主接地点和备用接地点均位于机箱侧面，为了防止机箱安装到机
柜后无法安装接地线，因此请先将接地线安装到交换机的侧面接地点上。

The S5830-52SC with long slide rails applies to the rack with a front-to-rear post
distance of 621 mm (24.45 in) to 874 mm (34.41 in).使用长滑道时，S5830-52SC适
用于前后方孔条间距在621mm到874mm之间的机柜。
The S5830-106S applies to the rack with a front-to-rear post distance of 489 mm
(19.25 in) to 993 mm (39.09 in).S5830-106S适用于前后方孔条间距在489mm到
993mm之间的机柜。

Switch and rack compatibility对机柜的要求：

The S5830 Switch Series adopts the front-to-back airflow design and airflow redirection.
You can choose different fan trays to direct airflow from port side to power module side
or from power module side to port side for different installation sites. S5830系列交换机
采用前后风道设计，并支持风向倒转能力，通过配置不同的风扇模块，可提供“端口侧到
电源侧”和“电源侧到端口侧”两种气流方向，满足不同环境下的散热要求。

Connecting the power cord 连接电源线
Before connecting the power cord, connect the grounding cable and make sure that the
switch is correctly grounded. 在连接电源线前，需先连接保护地线，保证交换机正确接地。
Connect the power cord to the switch first and then to the power source to avoid bodily
injury. 连接电源线时，请先完成电源线与交换机侧的连接，再进行电源线与供电系统的
连接，以免造成人身伤害。
Connect the DC power cord
After removing a module, install a filler panel to the empty slot to prevent dust from
entering the switch.若模块拆卸完成后无须安装新的模块，请及时安装假面板，以防止灰
尘进入。
